I strongly believe that I have to calibrate wheel and pedals after each time ps4 is turned off. Constant brake locking :( lol, laughs at my pain

What tyre compound were you lot on, any pitting for race 2? I was on inters for 16/17 laps then softs aka what not not to do

I hate to say it but I gave up. I was at the very back with no competition and I ruined my tires. Another pit stop and I'd be even further from anyone. It's like one of those sad times when an F1 back marker is in a non-points scoring position and the retire the car just to save risking an accident or something. Just wasn't worth it at that point.

Watkins Glen was pretty good but I think I messed up tires there too. I went softs and by the end they were shot. I think others were on hards or mediums but even still my pace was too slow. On less grippy tires and I'd be even further back. No idea what to do there.

Race 1 I did Softs - Wets on Lap 4 - Softs on Lap 11. I should have started on Inters or switch to Inters instead of Wets.

I did some testing and posted earlier what happened. Rain shows up consistently at the end of Lap 4 and stops on Lap 12.

You make sure your ABS was on? What wheel you using? These guys have been SUPER helpful in me getting my wheel dialed in. Didn't necessarily make me any faster, but at least I feel like now its just user error and not the technology. Try and sit in on a practice, we'll all do our best to help.

I think abs, traction control and what other is off in my global menu. I thought it would make me quicker.... I use for a wheel thrustmaster t150rs (at the time was cheaper than a t80) Likely spent 2/3 of the time finding then losing decent setups through trial and error, even joined projectcars forum and oscarolim. First I thought linearity was the golden calf, used FCM by skoader, wheelcheck app from iracing, but now feeling is what is needed in a consumer wheel. But using soft clips to try to amplify lower ffb forces is a expletive laferrarri ¥£$. In the end, even max verstappen would be quick on my wheel and pedals, there's a video of him in the main forum area on a f1 like seat with Frex wheel and pedal, bossing it up in socks. In socks lol. So yeah, it's likely user error. But wheel and pedals felt better after 1st race, was able to recalibrate during lobby break.

What is your brake pressure set at?
90 for both races. At Zolder I switched to telemetry hud, brakes were locking before the rain prior to full pressure applied. Brake balance was 60 for Zolder. For the Glenn brake balance was set to 58 but I recalibrated brakes, which were predictable so no lockups. Perhaps hearing was off or too much aero. But my best lap time was 1:40.xx on inters, on lap 18 onwards sans several self inflicted code browns, I was lapping 1:37s for several laps

T150 is a solid wheel for sure! In my experience, most of the settings changes I had to do on the T300 had to do more with force feeback than with any sort of calibration.

I always run ABS. I think most of the guys do too as it's very difficult to manage braking without it. The other aids (Stability and Traction) can for sure slow you down, but the tradeoff is of course handling. I use Stability on occasion when a car feels unpredictable.

If you have a USB keyboard you can plug into the PS4, you can assign ABS / Traction / Stability buttons to turn them on and off on the fly. Incase you forget during practice or the race.

Smcinnis, we had some good back and forth at The Glen. I use ABS, SC, and sometimes TC like during the rain. Maybe that's slowing me down but I've been using SC on cars that are tricky instead of trying a tune. Just seems easier.

Also, my keyboard didn't work but I plugged it into a USB extender. I guess it only works when directly connected?

These dang 'ol LMP2s... boy howdy.

Interesting seeing the different rain strategies play out during Zolder for sure! Watkins Glen was more or less the regular knock-down-drag-out brawl we expected and have become accustomed too.

With the different scoring for this series, these sheets can get a bit unruly with all the maths involved. Feel free to double check the numbers if you feel it might be off. Also, because of size limitation, you might feel the need to use the PDF attached instead of the image.

Hope to see you all next week, and hopefully before.

Yeah we did there for a bit! My tires couldn't hang on I kept running way wide, and you kept sneaking inside. Great battle. 👍

I should have 46 points, exactly one more than lobbanmike. ;)

Did everyone use soft tires for Watkins Glen? My tires were almost gone by the end. Are soft tires a requirement or can we try other compounds?

Oh, and to anyone that uses traction control and a wheel, what traction control setting do you use? Low or high?

A usb keyboard in ps4, cool! how do you hit ps button to assign it to a player, if needed? Regarding ffb, since Sunday I set it 100ffb and TF 75. Prior to then likely tEsted ffb from 60 to 80. Come to think of it, at ffb 100 I couldn't feel when tyres are about to lose grip and wheel didn't go limp when front tyres locked up, and no lightness felt when front tyres unloaded.

BR if you didnt win that first race, i might of hung myself. Anytime i take less fuel and fill up at the pit, i run out. I did the race earlier yesterday and had more than was needed. Good race with mike trap and spaghetti in the 2nd race tho
Yeah BR was the talk of the town in our chat last night, we were waiting to see if he could hold on to it, great plan with perfect execution

Hey can anyone help? When I hit OPTIONS to go to My Garage, it's locked and greyed out. What's going on?
