Is this thing really suppose to be under 1,800 lbs.? That's what I've heard and that's crazy if it's true.
The GTS-R is the lightest at 680kg and the X is only 35kg heavier, if I'm correct that'll be LESS than 1,700 lbs with a curb weight of 1,658 lbs.Is this thing really suppose to be under 1,800 lbs.? That's what I've heard and that's crazy if it's true.
Well if you think that's crazy than you must have missed the hp rating....Is this thing really suppose to be under 1,800 lbs.? That's what I've heard and that's crazy if it's true.

Combine the absurd power figure with the low weight and you have the recipe for ungodly performance.

This is right past the 2x. Forget anything else we've ever seen before. If you can tame it, that is. This car is right up with the 2X when it comes to scary thoughts and equally scaring prospects of driving... You really need to learn to adapt with these cars, especially when they can be about as fast as a bullet train. And people are lucky enough that SRT didn't decide to just go full sci-fi and add some strange laser and/or gas-based contraption...

I didn't think it would cornering wise, but seeing that video I think it would take it. It totally ***** on the x cars for acceleration for sure.I'll stick my neck out and say that it could make the likes of the Red Bull X cars look tame in the right hands.

And of course, then the SRT will be defeated by the Bertone when (and if) it comes out. If you though the 2X looked crazy, once that hits the game, arrows will be fired left and right regarding the Italian Wipeout machine...
What I'm Saying. The 2X caps out at about 1,200 HP.
That Bertone VGT doesn't even look like a car, lol I don't know what the heck that thing is .....
I'm still gonna drive it though.

The 2X caps out at around 900hp which means the X model has almost TRIPLE the HP of that rocketship.
Er... Isn't the 2X a 900 hp car? I could be wrong, but I believe that such a number is the correct horsepower rating...
Nevermind, slightly tree'd by Vic. The point still stands, though.
It's a F-Zero-meets-Wipeout-and-then-meets-crazy-Italian-designer car, that's what it is. I just hope it comes with an inbuilt flame shield, because if the Tomahawk (which is a fairly grounded design all thing considered) can be as controversial as it is, imagine the response towards the Bertone...
Oop, damn, I had mistaken the 2X for the X2. My mistake fellas
Goodness!
Exactly. I won't even bother to read any comments about the Bertone if there is a news article about its release, because I already know that many comments will brutally offensive, featuring such "epic" lines such as "Dis car sux, fake car." or "GT IS DED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". I commend Bertone on being way out there, but boy the Urano will be polarizing unlike any other VGT car...

I was doing the recent Willow Springs 500pp Normal-FR race seasonal, when this happened:

Officially spooked.
I agree, It's great to see that Bertone did not hold back on the imaginative end of this project. I for one love to see the creativity from these Car manufacturers. It really shows the true potential of these designers and what their minds are truly capable of creating.

Welcome to FP499
You know what I'm worried about? PD trying to one up the SRT with X2017 in GT7. Probably has 3,000hp, weighs as much as a Caterham, completely wingless for reduced drag and has 2 full time fans

Well, if RedBull isn't interested on besting the X, I think we're good. They could always "borrow" the propulsion from the 2X and the multi-flaps from the Tomahawk to aid the aerodynamics of a future X2016 (shouldn't it be 2016 as opposed to 2017?). Couple that with ground effects and I bet you could have enough grip to glue yourself to the moon...
The Red Bull does not use a propulsion system, the fan is actually the reason for making a vaccume under the car, it sucks any air from underneath, kind of like a hoover yes, or reverse hovercraft, sucking the car to the ground (literally) the Chaparral 2J uses the same system, but instead of the fans being driven by the main engine, they're both drven by a snowmobile engine.
In order to have ground effect, you must need air, the moon does not have any air, thus, it does not work.

Oops, my mistake, forgot about the fact that the fan doesn't aid propulsion; it IS the propulsion. Still, the multi-flaps from the Tomahawk X could be used for the car. I'm not really sure that RedBull wants to give the X car even more horsepower, it's already hard enough to control the current, fan-ladden X2015 as it is...
