SRT TOMAHAWK VISION GT OT (Now available)

Don't sweat it, that's why I said limit. There is no car in the current GT6 version that exceeds a base PP value of 975.

I'll see what I can do with the X, I already tamed the Red Bull on the Nordschleife and got 3:2x.xxx (cant remember the lap exactly, I'll have to check)

I have to say, the RedBull is without a doubt the hardest cars in the game, but probably among the most func cars, because of its truely harsh challenging drive that really does put YOU to the test, it yearns for skills from the driver.

Now, the Tomohawk X, you see, its not so much about reaction times, but more about "lap memory" like playing a Piano, its not nececerraly reaction times, you plan your moves before you hit a corner. not when you're on it, as with any car, but especially these cars.

There is no time for reaction times (lets just say) in the Red Bull & SRT X, instead, you need to rely on track memory, and to memorise what inputs you need to do on the car, and how it reacts to them, on the track, and again, how you move with the car.

If you're only relying on reaction times during your drive, you have no track memory at all, and especially no memory on how the car reacts. (They all react differently.)

I remember for GT5 Spec 2.0 update PD adjusted the PP rating for all cars. Pre-2.00 the X2010 was rated at 999. Because they added X2011 (which is faster), it then becomes the new 999 and the X2010 (along with all other cars) got demoted by a few PP. Maybe the same thing might happen with the SRT?

X2011 is faster in tearms of top speed, but X2010 has cornering advantage over both X2011 and X2014.

Really? I can see how it's faster over the X2014, but the X2011 is practically X2010 that's better in every way. Maybe it's easier because you're going a bit slower in the X2010? Also the S Vettel version has a longer gearing (which is not achievable with other versions) which helps with traction.

Which is faster: the X2010 or the Sebastian Vettel Redbull?

In terms of top speed they are the same, but the Vettel version is just easier to drive because of longer gearing, so I'd say Vettel. I'm not talking large difference here. Maybe less than 1 second around most tracks. If you're not skilled your driving will make a bigger difference than the difference between normal and SV.

IMO the order looks like this: X2011 > X2010 Vettel > X2010 normal/proto >>> X2014

Thanks. Because I never knew which Redbull is the best performing.

I do make my own tunes you know, gearing and everything, I tested them all thuroughly, and the X2010 lapped Tsukuba the fatest of all of them (which is a very cornering speed heavy track) the X2014 was the fastest on the final corner clocking over 220mph, while the X2010 does it just over 205mph, and the X2011 does it at about the same speed, but in the slower speed corners (every other corner of the track), the X2010 is around10-15mph faster.

Same principles apply to the Nurb, the X2010 if by far the fatest on tighter corners, but the others are fastest on longer much higher speed corners & straights.

To be honest, I would not put one over the other, clearly all of them are made for different purposes, and they all have a very different handling style and charectoristics in performance.

Even every single model of the X2010 are largely different from eachother, but I'd say the best handling X2010 (not the easiest) is the Prototype.

Well that's interesting. I'm very familiar with the X cars (I put 200,000 kms in the X2010 Vettel in GT5 because of grinding). I optimized the gearing for my X cars as much as possible to mimic the Vettel version. On my hands around the Nurb X2011 is fastest. X2010 Vettel is 2 secs behind. X2014 is the slowest by a fair margin (can't remember by how much off the top of my head).

I'll try testing around Tsukuba and see what I get.

Could we be expecting this livery??!

That's not a livery, and that's just a photoshop. We've already seen what the cars will look like whenever they get added to the game...

It's pretty much this; most, if not all, colors have been revealed either in the car's trailer or other pictures (in the Gran Turismo website and that one picture that showed the list of colors available for the S). And that camouflage has not appeared in any of those media materials, so it's certain that it won't appear in the game...

Actually it almost certainly will be, based on the fact it comes in one colour and has a giant, relatively realistic paint scheme.

Actually, the different versions have a different number of colors:

  • Tomahawk S: About 10 colors, including striped and non-striped variations;
  • Tomahawk GTS-R: So far it seems that this version only has one paint scheme; the red & white scheme featuring the carbon upper-half portion;
  • Tomahawk X: two colors; a white and what seems to a carbon black, both seen in the unveiling trailer.
So yes, it already has a decent variety of colors. But of course, it would be good if this car could be paintable as well.

Sorry should have clarified:
I assume that the S will be paintable and the GTSR won't, not sure about the X.

Ah, that does make more sense. I'd say the same about the S and the GTS-R. As for the X, even if it may not be paintable at first, it might still become paintable later, as it happened with the Chaparral 2X and the Mazda LM55. The GTS-R, being a racing car with a fixed livery, might not be paintable at all, while the S obviously shows it can take quite a few colors, so it should be paintable from the get go. Then again...

Maintenance starts in 12 hours for me.

I can't wrap my head around 2,600hp still. It's unnecessary. But I'll take it.

Always remember that you have two other cars that don't have such mind-boggling power figures, if you don't want to almost kill yourself while driving (or attempting to drive) the X. There are three Tomahawks, not just one.

@Niku Driver HC

I'll stick with the inferior model that has 1,000 horses.

Of course, you are entitled to your choice. And I bet many will follow the same path as you and just drive the S. I'll try to give both the S and the GTS-R an even amount of driving time, while sparing a little less for the X. I admire the X's demented behaviour, but it'll be a daunting car to drive, that's for sure. Not the easiest-to-grasp VGT in recent history...

If I do drive the X model, it'll be with the pad. I'm genuinely nervious at the potential of tearing up my G27 trying to steer that around. Hell, I don't even drive the standard X2014 model with my wheel for the same reason even though it doesn't have the fan.

I'll barely drive the X model because it's so hilariously daunting the propsect of driving that thing on Not SSRX.

But you'll get ripped.

That could go one of several ways:

- Ripped Arms (jokes on you, Gym membership!)

- Ripped ABs (finally getting that 8-pack I always wanted)

- Ripped Sides (all from not laughing)
