Sorry

There's no kill like overkill and SRT is going all in on the overkill.

I don't see what's so "completely ridiculous" about it.
top speed over 400mph
@hsv retracts his statement.

I want stupid feats of engineering that are based at least somewhat in reality.
You don't see what's ridiculous about a 2600bhp automotive peacock?
As I said, if you can get real cars with that amount of power (and more), and considering there are Time Attack cars that have pushed that close, I don't see how placing it in a tarted up carbon tub warrants another Wipeout jibe.

The Tomahawk X is worthy of that X, because of three reasons:

It's eXtreme, it's brutal and it demands reflXes. And do you think it goes too eXtreme? Of course it does, SRT blantantly admitted it in the trailer. Watch it, hear the words that come when the X is mentioned. It's the unchained version, the one Tomahawk that breaks all feasible limits over its knee and laughs at them. The other two will play the more grounded-in-reality versions, it's their task. The X exists for the sole purpose of acting as the SRT engineers' wet dream, the car they can really go crazy with. Is it wrong for them to want to push the limits of car engineering?

Peacock or not, this is way better done than any Devel Sixteen.
I doubt if Devel Sixteen actually have 5000 HP, i think they just went and lied about the specs when it's the real specs is much lower than what they claim about.

But yeah it's much Much MUCH Better than some "car" that look like what a 5 year old will do.

It's also completely 90s to use Xtreme

So around 1200 horsepower for the S, 2000 for the GTS-R and over 2500 for the X? This is gonna be good. I wonder how it'll compare to the Red Bull cars. Also, the movable aero looks pretty cool.

I wonder, also, if these will be given as variant prizes. Gold gets all 3 (or just the x), the GTSR is given to silver and S is given to .. well, anyone else (or just bronze). lol

Edit because I wrote acr instead of GTSR. lol

The X version could very well beat or even annihilate the Red Bull racers, I'm not sure how close they'll be, but to say I'm excited to find out is a major understatement.

So which is it? You retract, or you'd like to continue suggesting this "400mph" creation isn't absurd?

Granted, it's not quite at "OMG LAZERZ" levels of ridiculous like the Chapparal. So, yay, I suppose.

I'll just wait for the GT site to update with the reveal so we can get an idea of the specs for each individual version.

Dude, don't remind me. lol -- I had to start GT ALL OVER AGAIN, because lightning took out my ps3 last year. I just hadn't the mind to start again til hearing about the Tomahawk. lol

Needless to say I lost all my cars, so now I have to buy any of the special cars if I want them. It sucks. lol :banghead:

The only reason you stated for disliking it was the power figures and its appearance. Both of those aren't particularly far fetched. That's all. 400mph is more pathetic than interesting.

It'll be worth a shot. I saw someone with a status here mentioning the possibility of the first 1000 PP car, probably referring to the Tomahawk. With the X, I don't doubt it. What are the PP values for the top end Red Bull cars anyway? The trailer for the car shows the car hitting 371 mph on Route X. What model was doing that wasn't obvious. Regardless, I'm sure the Tomahawk, the X version at least, will at least stand a chance against the Red Bull cars.

Also, I think the Tomahawk looks like a combination of the Mazda LM55 and Alpine Vision GT cars. I think it looks pretty cool. And I really like the active aero too. While I don't have GT6, I'm still excited to see how this monster performs on track.

That was me, and yes.

In the end, it's merely a video game, in which the whole idea of this is to be without limits, without fatality or other consequences. PD simply told SRT to make a cool car, so they made this.

Looking forward to this beast.

And like those, this is just as ridiculous. Being achievable doesn't automatically warrant this any more likeable, just because we're using other ridiculous real life cars to benchmark it. These are just too far fetched and over the top to be taken serious.
