SRT TOMAHAWK VISION GT OT (Now available)

I was kind of waiting for a manufacturer to pull off something never before seen in the game like this. I can die happy now.

Is @Niku Driver HC auditioning for a Chrysler salesman slot?

Actually, no, I'm just being little old me. Shocking, I know, but what can you do.

But really, what can we do? SRT choose to do a version of the car that does 400 mph. They thought of it, they went for it, and Kaz accepted it. What more can one say, really? And it must be only the X that is capable of that, so if you want, you can merrily ignore it and continue on with your life.

It'll be worth a shot. I saw someone with a status here mentioning the possibility of the first 1000 PP car, probably referring to the Tomahawk. With the X, I don't doubt it. What are the PP values for the top end Red Bull cars anyway? The trailer for the car shows the car hitting 371 mph on Route X. What model was doing that wasn't obvious. Regardless, I'm sure the Tomahawk, the X version at least, will at least stand a chance against the Red Bull cars.

Also, I think the Tomahawk looks like a combination of the Mazda LM55 and Alpine Vision GT cars. I think it looks pretty cool. And I really like the active aero too. While I don't have GT6, I'm still excited to see how this monster performs on track.

With an oil change, the most powerful X racer, the 2011 prototype makes 1634hp at 979PP.

And the Tomahawk X could have almost 1000hp more than that.

Don't you want to see the full lunacy of the Bertone or the Bat-🤬 insanity of Lamborghini first? :sly:

does anyone else think certain manufacturers might be giving... things... to PD in order to be allowed to make the best performing car?

I'm not sure if the PP calculation is linear. it might get to 995 or something :P. This SRT might weigh significantly more than the redbull too.

Lambo can't even handle this amount of wacko. And Bertone is still in god knows where.

Well, that depends on what the Lamborghini is like, and I haven't seen the Lamborghini Vision GT.

Seems like it has a lot of power.

Sounds like it will be fun to drive...

Lambo's VGT is actually going to be a hovercar

The only reason you stated for disliking it was the power figures and its appearance.

Actually, I didn't state any reason for disliking something in this thread. You didn't like the Wipeout comparison and felt the need to state as much.

Both of those aren't particularly far fetched.

No? I suppose they're quite common, then.

400mph is more pathetic than interesting.

Agreed.

I doubt if Devel Sixteen actually have 5000 HP, i think they just went and lied about the specs when it's the real specs is much lower than what they claim about.

Which, uh, is what happens here too.

It's a tempting view to take, since the first few did tend to be fairly equal in performance terms. But as they're a bunch of make-believe cars that exist in one particular video game and nowhere else... well, what benefit would the manufacturers get, really?

I can't see this thing's popularity somehow transferring into more Dart sales!

Has there even been any info on the Lamborghini Vision GT?

Also, I don't know how the PP system works.

I was kidding about the vgt.

I know PP is based on power to weight, torque and probably some suspension and drag modifiers, but I don't know more than that :P

SRT Tomahawk S Vision Gran Turismo
The Tomahawk S is the entry level machine to prep players for the incredible performance of the Tomahawk series; but the specs of the "S" are already off the charts. The 7.0-litre wide-angle V-10 is tuned to deliver 792 hp (compared with 645 hp for the 8.4-litre V-10 in the 2015 Dodge Viper). The pneumatically driven front wheels add 215 hp, for total system output of 1,007 hp. With a curb weight of 2,026 pounds, this version of the SRT Tomahawk is the heaviest, yet it has a top speed in excess of 250 mph.

SRT Tomahawk GTS-R Vision Gran Turismo
Race tuning pushes output of the V-10 to 1,137 hp, while the air-driven front wheels add 313 hp for a total system output of 1,450 hp. Aggressive weight-cutting techniques whittles the curb weight of the Tomahawk GTS-R to 1,459 pounds (the lightest of any version) and the top speed in excess of 300 mph.

SRT Tomahawk X Vision Gran Turismo
This is the ultimate Tomahawk that incorporates a variety of experimental technologies. With a redline set at 14,500 rpm, the V-10 engine pumps out 2,168 hp (nearly three times the output from the base Tomahawk S). The front wheel drivetrain contributes an additional 422 hp at peak, for a total output of 2,590 hp. That gives the Tomahawk X a top speed of 404 mph. Due to the extreme performance of the X version, the driver is required to wear a G-suit to withstand the extreme cornering forces.

Tomahawk S to make 1007HP from total output between hybrid and V10.

Tomahawk GTS-R 1450HP

Tomahawk X 2590HP

Edit: Got Treed

Why would you think that? Its not like PD gave them a set criteria so it was open to interpretation from start.

Face rippling power.

Which, uh, is what happens here too.

I imagine though you can getaway with it in a video game, as opposed to making a real car and selling the idea that your car will blow away the other real established ones only for such claims to be not actually met.

I get the feeling they didn't have Dart anywhere on their mind when they made this, just a hunch

This car is totally feasible today. You can find similar aero reshaping in planes, and the engine output is huge but not impossible at all. You just won't find a company willing to sink hundreds of millions in R&D for a couple of prototypes when there's no point to it when you see F1 teams having a hard time to survive with a whole category built for it with years of history.
And they'd probably have the most expensive tyres ever, don't think the usual petrol rubber would cut it.
