TVR Cerbera Speed 12 '00

Believe me, I was tempted, but I was "playing by the rules" so to speak.

If it were up to me though, the S/tb Type A would make that list for sure.

Oh, very good news!
I mean, some people here also posted PS1-era cars despite the thread being for Standard cars, which meant PS2-era cars.

That is correct but I can't be bothered policing it, because PS1 cars are technically standard cars. They lack an interior and the models are of a low quality. I didn't think people would suggest PS1 cars but anyway.

BMW M3 GTR
As much as I like homologation specials, I feel like only the race car version of the M3 (E46) GTR that raced in the ALMS would really be needed, as we already have the M3 (E46).

Speaking of BMW, I’d also pick the older 2002 Turbo, as well as both iterations of the M5 that were available in GT6.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII would be a fine addition. I know there was IX which was already a premium, but not only was VIII faster, it was also the fastest road going Evo we've had. I believe the two fastest versions were RS and GSR MR, so one of these would be great.

It's debatable whether the VIII MR is the fastest Evo ever made. It really depends on which source of information you use as they all seem to report different power outputs (some follow the Gentlemen's agreement while others use a different figure). The IX MR either makes the same power or more and comes with MIVEC unlike the VIII which gives a better power curve. Then there's the VI TME which weighs less than both the VIII and IX MRs and supposedly makes more power (again depends on which source you use for info as they all seem to report differently), but has an inferior AYC system.

If I was to pick out of the Evo generations I'd probably use the best model from each chassis (III, VI TME, IX MR, X Final Edition).
From what we've seen so far in trailers etc, it looks like we've ended up with all 3 models (IV, V, VI TME) from one chassis (CN9A & CP9A) as well as the X Final Edition.

Hopefully they've included at least 1 CT9A Evo, but based off its absence in the trailers, I'm a bit sceptical.

Yeah, I figured as much but still wanted to denote them separately as they are in a sort of gray area. Still fantastic vehicles for the series though, so seeing them permanently gone would be saddening.

PP-wise, yeah the RS is the fastest JDM car in GT5-GT6 with 478 PP. Though yeah RS would look uglier (I know it's for weight reduction or such, but it feels like entry level family cars with the side mirror/door handle and the wheels), unlike for example NSX type R (weight reduction too, but the car feels special).

IX was Premium of it debuting in GT5 (it and Evo X).

Which is why the thread should be renamed something else. If noone is going to respect the rules, lets just change them to be more open. It makes no sense to make a separate thread for PS1-era cars.

Mikael from sweden How come (almost) no one even mention All great m-b cars AMG or not?Or AMC's cars?Amc did the Javelin.Amx and the Matador and many more. The Matador was in the NasCar series under -74 - 76.So if you want some odd-ball cars and not the tractorcompany's from Italy (read lambo, ferrarri and the other make's) or a vw bug that's flattend, widen, stretched and 2 more cylinders in the a** a.k.a porsche. Not everyone is found of them as you might think.Just like soccer or football depending of your origin. All of us GT's might not like to be forced to like soccer or "exotic" cars

Well hi, welcome to GTPlanet.

With that said, there are plenty of people on this forum that mentioned the very things you're talking about. There's a suggestions section of GTPlanet made for that purpose, which includes multiple Mercedes-benz and AMC models. Though I'm confused on how you never heard anyone placing any Mercedes-Benz cars on their wishlists, I've seen plenty of those mentioned.

Secondly though, I would advise looking somewhere else if you want to talk about those. Because this thread is just about cars from GT1-4 we want back. Well, unless you want to mention your favorite oddball cars from the PS1 & PS2 era to become premium.

I've noticed the (w201) 190 2.5 16v evo 2 clk and e55 but the gullwing was present in gt4 or am i misstaken? It's so long ago i've played them.I had them all untill ps4 came out.To expensive for me back then. But some old era cars that i miss in a way or two is the 4x4 Pulsar from GT1 or 2 and the White Swan Mazda cosmo

Yup, they were in Gran Turismo 4, 5, 6, and PSP. Neither made it to the gt sport, but another 300SL was recently confirmed for GT7 already. Though, it's the W194 version this time:

I meant to say that VIII was the fastest we've had in Gran Turismo games. Talking about the fastest ever made, that would be one of the special FQ versions which had over 400 HP.

Strangely, despite having the highest PP, it wasn't the fastest JDM, but still one of the fastest. And it sure does look uglier than other VIII versions 😁

Great choices. The Pulsar GTI-R is one of my favorite cars to start with in GT2.
It's the first gullwing for carshows but the commercial gullwing started production in 1953.I might be misstaken. And yes the Pulsar was a fun car to fiddle around with. Both standard or my version with some goodies.I never maxed it out but just the first steps and the fullrace suspension. That's how i liked it
