Mixed feelings around Skeleton Crew. I generally find kids to be really frustrating main characters, and I don't think that's any different here. That being the case though, I get what they're going for so looking past that, I like it so far, with the exception of the score, which I found a bit weak.

Intriguing how they set up At Attin so far, as soon as we got the scene in the classroom something felt oppressive, then we had the barrier, and droids patrolling no-go zones...

Watched the first two episodes last night and felt pretty much the same about it.

I felt At Attin was just a touch too Earthy. I know its aimed at kids, but i don't feel it needed to come across as so comfortably familiar for you to be able to identify with the main characters.

It was also very Amblinesq which whilst i think are great stories/films, if a little well-troden now, for me doesn't really fit the Star Wars universe.

Still, interested to see where they go with it.

I'm loving it so far. And then we follow this up with Andor season 2 which will also be amazing.

I'm really intrigued about the kid's home planet. Everyone thinks it's a myth, they're not allowed to come or go. I think the 'barrier' is some way to hide the planet? They've been sheltered from the war and the empire. Can't wait to learn more about it.

Final verdict on Skeleton Crew: Love it. And despite there being doom and gloom reports about the viewership numbers, I am confident we'll get another season at some point. A vast majority of the reaction to the series has been positive.

Now we wait impatiently for Andor season 2.

Skeleton Crew was formulaic twadddle for 12 year olds...

... and that's exactly what Star Wars needs at he moment, and it was great.

Jude law was brilliant, the kids were okay, the VFX were good, hopefully it will bring a new generation forward, to believe in what's right, what serves the people.. not what the cockcheese eating shaftclanker's that worship Musk think...

Looks amazing. And although the music is relevant to the story, still very jarring for Star Wars. Either way, I can't wait. And apparently we're getting all 12 episodes released in 4 weeks, 3 episodes per week.

Is it April yet?

Also this other news will probably make a lot of the incels and neckbeards happy

Action-packed trailer. I just hope we get the same quality thriller story we got in the first season.

Not keen on the choice of song, but I'm very much looking forward to this. Season 1 was excellent.

Its a shame that this will be the final season of Andor. S2 will bridge the gap between the end of S1 and the start of Rogue One (and really A New Hope too as that followed on immediately). It feels like there's too much ground to cover to cram in to a dozen episodes. The Rebellion of SW:ANH felt well established and united, where as in Andor S1 it felt very early stages. It will also, i assume, run concurrently with the Rebels timeline, at least to an extent. So there must be some crossover between the two at some point in S2 which will be interesting to see how they deal with that.

It's going to be so hard to avoid all the spoilers over the next month, and then the dumb 3-episodes-a-week release strategy.

I can't watch until this evening so a tense day of spoiler avoidance awaits, but it sounds like it is worth it

The acclaimed Tony Gilroy drama’s second season — which continues the story of Rebel Alliance fighter Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) — has the best critics score on Rotten Tomatoes of any live-action Star Wars TV show — or movie. Andor season two, which premieres tonight, currently has a 98 percent positive rating.

After watching episode 3 I’m glad now that Cassian gets vaporised by the Death Star on Scarif

he left Bee behind!

Looking forward to Star Wars Episode 3 at the Cinema tomorrow night. Weird thing is they re-released Episode 1 as a 25th anniversary last year. Now they're doing the 20th anniversary of Episode 3? Guess I'm going to have to remind myself what happened in Episode 2, it's 23 years since I saw it at the cinema.

Ep 3 is Revenge Of The Sith, right? It’s that old? Where have the years gone.

I’m going to try to get a ticket to the BFI screening of the original print of Star Wars (before George started tinkering) but it will be virtually impossible. I do have the 4K77 files but I’d love to see it properly on the big screen.

Was a little disappointed with the new episodes of Andor, to be honest. The tone seemed a bit off in places, especially the bits with the moron rebels. The reviews apparently say it does pick up after a slow start so we’ll see what next week brings.

Andor's alright so far. For me the Mothma arc and the ISB/Krennic arc keeps it interesting. Cassian's not had much relevance so far.

Yup, it's Revenge Of The Sith, I've got the IMDB Synopis page open ready to brush up on what happened in Attack of the Clones.

My local cinema did an all dayer of the original trilogy last year, not the special print you're talking about though. It was great to see those films on the big screen again. You really appreciate how they set the standards for all the Sci-Fi films that have followed.

Agreed, the "moron rebels" were just a poor distraction, I understand the aim of showing how little/unexpected things can derail everything, regardless how carefully planned it was. This relevance of... uhhh ... fate, was however much more correctly depicted in Season 1 when Cassian was, due to simple bad luck, arrested and sent to prison. It was quick, it was terrifying and suddenly took the main character (us with him) to an unexpected location, where we witnessed events that would shape not only Cassian but the entire series.

This ... was just an annoyance, filled with forgettable characters and nothing comes from it (except the planet itself, of course )

Everything else, I found fantastic. Huge fan of Genevieve O'Reilly here! Her acting is superb! And so is her dancing !!!

Yes and no. I think it was intended to represent the rebellions journey in a microcosm. Confused, starving, scared, suspicious, paranoid, desperate, uncoordinated, unable to see much beyond the end of their nose, metaphorically and literally, dying for no reason... then we directly transition from that to a craft rising above the Massassi temple - which is a symbolic shot I'm sure designed to invoke the moments before the battle of Yavin... which was the rebellion at it's most heroic.

Don't get me wrong, space rock paper scissors was stupid, and those scenes were trudging, but I think it was aiming to invoke a sense of something bigger.
