Steam sale thread: Summer 2017 Edition

I just picked up:

  • The Witcher 2 and the Enhanced Edition
  • Super Meat Boy
  • Monaco
  • Don't Starve
  • XCOM: Enemy Within DLC

There are a few things I want but none are on sale just yet, so [Wallet opening intensifies] I'll wait and see. I have already bought whatever the latest BIT.TRIP game is with Steam wallet funds, though.

For the first time, I voted on some games to be on sale! The Casual Simulation group had 2 or 3 games that I actually wanted!

Picked up the
  • Bioshock Infinite season pass
  • Bioshock Triple Pack

Shame Assetto Corsa didn't get the votes or I would have picked it up in a Flash sale. Deliberated on the Bioshock stuff for a good hour as it was

I still think it might appear in flash sales at 50%. We'll see

So tempted to buy AOE II HD but I'm still waiting for the CS... Decisions, decisions!

Anyone think AC will get cheaper? Might just buy it for my new computer so I can have it then.

It missed a good Community Deal and plus it won't go any lower unless its added into the special Deals. I would wait until the last day, as like any other game w/o a special Deal.

I finally bought Skyrim (Legendary Edition), that held it's price for quite some time... Now I'm mostly hoping for bigger discounts on DCS World DLC (namely Black Shark 2 and Flaming Cliffs 3), a few indie games and possibly Dark Souls 2.

Can't help it but feel a little sad this year. No games I'm really excited about... so far I've only bought one, and the other one I want won't get a 75% sale since it's fairly new.

Had a look at Yesterday's Big Deals an hour ago before they ended. Went and got The Wolf Among Us for £6.45 (-66%).

In other news, that thread title is starting to bug me.

Whats with the badges they give out? I'm new to steam.

I picked up Jazzpunk which is pretty fun and entertaining, although the music can grate at times and cant be turned down.

Oh yeah, my bad, I'll change that now!

I've picked up some DLC, namely the magnet gun thing for Saints Row 4 and some skins for Borderlands 2, because cheap. I might be tempted to get Metro Last Light but I'm just going to buy the redux again anyway.

I really want to try Arma 3, but I do not want to pay $30 for it.

I'm tempted too, I know my laptop will run the game(not at the highest settings, but I'm looking to build a PC just for gaming in the near future) and I'm also a big WW2 fan so it's not necessarily something I must have.

Speaking of shooters, if your looking for a good WW2 multiplayer game don't overlook Red Orchestra 2/Rising Storm. I've had if for about a year now and have put in almost 400 hours(which is a lot for me). It's the best WW2 FPS on the market unless your into COD type games.

Rising Storm GotY edition is 50% off and it's the one you want to buy as it includes all the multiplayer content for RO2 and RS. Only buy R02 if you want the single player campaign(which isn't any good, as it's just the multiplayer maps with AI instead of other players) and you'd only get the rifle class on the RS maps online

I picked up Red Orchestra one day when it was free if you downloaded it. I started messing around in the campaign to try and get a feel for the control layout, but have not picked the game up since. I have been meaning to play it some more.

EDIT: I pulled the trigger on Arma 3. With that, I will be trying to avoid buying anything else during this sale. I have spent way too much money on too many games that will not be played in the near future.
