Steam sale thread: Summer 2017 Edition

All I got this sale was Far Cry 3 deluxe edition. For £5 not bad.

I seem to be able to control my spending in these sales. Got nothing last sale. Civilisation 5 gold edition in last years summer sale and just all the DLC for total war Shogun 2 in that winter sale.

Can't decide on whether Wolfenstein is worth it at 50% off. It looks good, but I don't know if my PC will run it at max settings. Why are demos a thing of the past...

My first summer sale, I picked up most of the games I really wanted in the winter sale, so this time I was mostly getting the ones I didn't get then.

Got the Castle Crashers 4 pack at -90% in the flash sale earlier in the week, and Transistor + OST for £16.48 today.

I think that might be it for this year.

That stinks. I have a couple games on my Wishlist that didn't get a better price cut yet. And most of them are relatively old games.

Race 07 is pretty damn good. Sound is quite good, and the AI and real world flag rules are simply amazing.
The physics are somewhat simple compared to today, but for the price, it's totally worth it. I'd recommend at least getting the Race Injection package, which includes some of the DLC. Totally worth it.

Well the thing is... I've been looking into Asetto Corsa for a very very long time now. I'd never played a racing game since... Level R/ Project Torque (That's some 8 yrs or so ago) and I feel that with a racing wheel, now it's the time to truly enjoy racing. I'm afraid that if I go for Race 07 I would spend some bucks on it, on top of AC which i'll probably get sooner or later!

I'm aware that Race 07 with its DLCs have plenty of content to enjoy :)
 
Well, if you're looking for a new racing sims, then honestly, I'd wait the few months until Project Cars arrives.
To me at least, it looks to be a bit more refined and feature packed.

Get AC now if you really want it. The game will most likely not get any lower in price than what it is now. PCARS will not come until November this year and to me that is a long time. AC has modding support which means infinite potential!

The purples were lazy bastards! Never did we win, as far as I saw.
 
Well, to be fair. I sold every card I got, so I didn't contribute with any points.
But still. Pink team superior human beings forever!
 
Since there wasn't a whole lot I was interested in this time, I've bought ArmA 3 as the price dropped again for the final day of the sale. :)

The joke's on you, Super Hexagon is awesome! So bloody difficult but fun. I say that as someone who sucks so bad at it that I managed to fit about eight games into the space of a single minute. But still, great game.

I've been saying all along that if I didn't buy much I'd get Flaming Cliffs 3, but I think I did buy more than I'd intended when I said that, so as a punishment I shall forego my reward. Instead I shall purchase Goat Simulator.

In the end I only bought Dead Island Riptide.

Maybe in the winter sale South Park the Stick of Truth will go 75% off and I'll buy it. :dopey:

In the end my list was the same as the one on the last page plus Goat Simulator, which I got a further £1.01 off of thanks to some last minute card mining. B.T Flux's cards were worth 25p each! Total actual spend was therefore less than £20 and I've already played two of the four games I bought (Hexcells Plus and Resi 6). Not bad, but I was hoping to end up with Door Kickers, Mercenary Kings and/or Flaming Cliffs 3 as well. Maybe next time.
