Those have got to be fake. He didn't even look nearly like that when he released the iPhone 4 which was only about a year ago. He would've already been showing signs of THAT coming then. RIP Jobs. Apple will never be the same

You've never seen anyone die of cancer then, have you? It only takes a few days for the body to deteriorate like that.

I have never even bought apple products (have used them in school and work) but respect him and the products quite a lot, shocking news

RIP Steve Jobs

It's just sad.

And, having seen terminal cancer from very close I can say that the pictures of Jobs from this summer may very well show the unedited truth

RIP Steve Jobs, you were a legend of the technology industry.

Posted from my iPad by the way.

I wasn't one of the disciples or converted, or a blind hype follower... I couldn't care for the products as generally there was something out there that did the same thing as well if not better...

However I will give him props in the sense that he took an ailing company and lead it to it's success it has today, all simply by listening to his followers and improving the product he envisioned/initiated. Before this they didn't, hence why they were in the...

Taken too soon... wonder how long the 'faith' lasts...

As a person who watched his mother die from cancer, and his father from amyloidosis, it doesn't take long for things to end up that way. At all. A year is a very long time; I myself lost over 20 pounds in 3 weeks when I was quite ill, and I'm 6'4 and normally around 185. Not a lot of weight to lose.

Now, Jobs was a visionary. I've never been a big Apple fan (as many may know) but Jobs understood the market. He got what people wanted, how to sell it, how to make a brand and a product. He saved Apple, creating an entire technological sub-culture in the process.

Honestly he was much more than just an icon of Apple - he was an icon of Silicon Valley. If you wanted the spirit of a Silicon Valley entrepreneur, it was Steve Jobs - quirky, unique, without equal in vision and execution. He was a man that made a company close to bankruptcy become one of the most valuable companies in the world; he was a man who created a culture; he was a man who defined a generation of technologists.

After all about the launch of the brand new iPhone 4S, suing from Samsung and now this.

I apologise for going off topic here but it was actually Apple who sued Samsung

Either way I'm sure he had something to do with me being able to type this on a wonderful tactile slimline keyboard right now! A true innovator.

Sad news.

Also not the biggest fan of Apple, but you just cant deny what he did.

R.I.P

I guess even Death was frightened to spoil the introduction of a new Apple product. ;)

Bye Steve, we'll miss you. Very much.

He died too young. R.I.P Steve Jobs. i'll carry you in my heart for the rest of my life. All the best to your family.

What he really worried me was that the local Apple store, not a small one, didn't show any signs of sorrow. Don't get me wrong, it's not like those people know Steve Jobs but shouldn't there be any sign of sorrow, seeing that it's the founder of their company? :odd:

When I first started using Apple products again a few years ago, I was blown away by the fantastic user experience and attention to detail. Steve Job's charisma, vision and unyielding drive to consider even the smallest of details has helped me defined what great work should be. I will always respect and look up to that man, and all that he's accomplished. Thank you Steve. You will be missed.

RIP Steve Jobs

Wow...I'm kind of stunned. He was truly a pioneer of personal computing as we know it today.

Although I'm not an Apple-phile, my introduction to computers (this was 1982) was through the old Apple II/IIe computers in some of our classrooms. Kind of got the ball rolling for me, to be honest. Can't say a bad word about my iPod, either.

R.I.P Steve, another human being cruelly taken from us so young. :(

Give it a few days. I'm sure Apple will set up a small collage of his life as a tribute to what he accomplished in life.

Read the sad news through my Iphone this night. Rest in peace, Steve. Sad to see you leave the world at such a young age.
