STL Ram's Fan Diary (Last Week) -Lions @ Rams-

^yea, I'm FRICKIN' scared. saw it on SC last night. I really want M.Martz to do whatever it takes to get healthy! BTW i also heard on SC that he is expected<(main word) to coach this weekend. Hopefully those are signs of good news. Last thing, he said he had this fatique for most of the season! Hopefully he'll know when it has gone too far. I believe this happened also to my fav coach, L. Brown.

P.s. Can your heart condition be treated? Since when have u had this condition?

P.s. Can your heart condition be treated? Since when have u had this condition?
Treated? Yes. Cured? No. I have had it since birth and it is actually a combination of five conditions. The most severe is the fact that it formed backwards, meaning that the left side is on the right and vice versa. It is a deformity that causes most cases to be still born or miscarried. By some freak miracle the valves made a correction in development and just connected to the nearest arteries it could find. It creates an issue because one side is naturally stronger and pumps to the whole body and the other is weaker and pumps to the lungs. This is backwards on me, which causes me to get weak easily. When I exercise my muscles will begin to burn from lack of oxygen before my lungs do. Of course, they cramp quickly too.

Then I also have two valves leaking one of which has a bypass from a surgery when I was six and then replaced again at 14.

There was a hole in the heart that was mostly patched in the first surgery. As I grew it outgrew the patch or something, but creates little problems.

And I have a murmur.

After the surgery when I was 14 the doctors screwed things up a bit and I have been in controlled heart failure ever since. As long as I take my medicine it doesn't act up. They also caused me to have a stroke, but I mostly recovered from that.

The doctors told my parents, when they discovered all this at about three, that I was probably one of five children on Earth to survive with this condition(s). I don't know if they meant the inversion or the combination, but it placed the odds of this happening at about 1 in a billion. Where's my lottery ticket?

There you go, the short and sweet summarized version. My best hope for a cure would be a transplant but that has its own complications and is only used for life or death situations. So I take lots of medicine and try to live a normal life.

Is there any chance Bruce is going to play this game? I need McDonald to get quite a few catches this week (or I need to bench him).

SEA Seahawks 👎 37 - STL Rams 👍 31
Damn!!!! A must win game, just lost...
I am frickin' pissed off!!! We NEEDED this game sooooo Bad. WHY?:
#1-Division lead
#2- Home game
#3- Seahawks were bruised up

^ ****, why SHAUN WHY???????????

RECAP- Rams didnt look good "enough" for me. Defense was bad, (no Little and lost Hawthorne) and Special teams WTF??? Again, costly mistakes. M. Bulger looked great even without Bruce, BUT our Defense couldnt hold up. Instead, this game was an offensive shootout and the Seahawks won it. < even with their starting WR not playing.

I'll end it here. Man my hopes are down, but not out.
GO RAMS!!!! 2-3

I know, Shaun was having a good game - putting up non-insiginificant fantasy points and then ALL OF THE SUDDEN when he had a chance to run back a punt return and put some real fantasy numbers up (and keep the rams in the game) he went and dropped the ball!!! (2 points lost, 20 yards of progress erased).

Very frustrating.

The Rams looked decent. They put up enough points to win the game (even without Bruce, Holt looked very good). Their defense just couldn't stand up to a Shaun of a different color - who also happens to be on my fantasy team. :) Go Alexander!

What the hell happened with the Seahawks TE's? They were amazing. I thought the Seahawks passing game would be crippled with the loss of their two WRs.

No Dice. And Shaun McDonald gets to be the bad guy for a while.

I guess I'm not really a big rams fan. I'm still a little ticked at them about their superbowl with the Titans. Still, they are fun to watch. Lots of good WRs and Bulger has been really good this season. It's always exciting to watch a good passing team. It's too bad that their defence isn't better or they'd be the total package this season, because Jackson isn't that bad either.

what was i here for??? oh yeah, read:
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/4979548
I knew this would be the outcome. Martz will be out for at least a couple of weeks. He needs to focus on getting healthier and just forget about football for a little while.

I hope this doesn't mess with the heads of the team too much. I figure that next week they will either be distracted or they will give it a heart-filled "win one for the Gipper" kind of game. I would love to see the Rams put a loss mark on Indy's record.

pre-Week 6
STL Rams 2-3 at IND Colts 5-0

Here goes a test to see what the Rams can do. Indianapolis Colts, undefeated, on a roll, P. Manning, new Defense, MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL! All i got to say is...
BRING IT!
but really, this is a HUGE test for the Rams. Just to see how good we really are.

GAME EXPECTATIONS: Offensive shootout, again. Last time we loss, this time things may go differently. I mean, this is the Rams what more of an offense can you expect? and the Colts... u already know. :nervous:
Defense anyone??? Ah s**t the Rams D. :indiff: they really need to step up this time! even with all our injuries!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST...
Game Momentum, us Rams can lose momentum real quick so if we score real first we can really develop some momentum. Which can really change up this game. ALSO, Keep UP!!! i expect 35 points is what's needed for the Rams to win, so NO TO's, no stupid penalties, and STAY PERFECT.

Prediction- STL Rams 34 - IND Colts 31 :)
I'll end it there, might give one more impression on Sunday. Until then, GO RAMS!!!!
Also GET WELL MIKE MARTZ, and take your time recovering 👍

I am psyched about tonight's game.

One of my friends is a huge Colts fan and so this is a big night for us. It's funny though, because I think Martz in the hospital will be a distraction for the Rams and he thinks that the Colts haven't had their defense tested yet and he knows that the Rams can definitely test them.

Oh well, GO RAMS!!!

Get well Martz.

Tonight's game is critical. The colts have a very strong defense and I'm counting on them to shut down Kevin Curtis somehow, miraculously. Otherwise I will lose my fantasy game this week.

Sorry Rams fans, I like the rams too... they're fun to watch. But I'm picking the colts to win this one, and I'm rooting for them.

anyone hear that safety M. Hawthorne is out :( ?
sux A$$, hopefully we'll get this game with a struggling D.
and with a Seahawks win last night 👎 this IS critical, not as if i never thought it was :)

INTERESTING FACT: The Rams are winless when M. Bulger throws for 300 yds.

INTERESTING FACT: The Rams are winless when M. Bulger throws for 300 yds.
Or when his shoulder does something unnatural, like separate.

I was watching last night all excited through eth first quarter but after S Jackson fumbled in teh third quarter (looked like he tossed it) I said "game over" and went to bed. Woke up to the score this morning of 45-28 and realized I made a good decision. At least I am rested. :indiff:

It sucks that Bulger was hurt. I feel for Rams fans, you nobody wants the star QB out of the game. It's a shame, though, that he connected with Kevin Curtis (damn him) before he was hurt.

I also feel bad for the backup QB. He was having a great game at first, and then it was interception interception interception... I always want the backup players to do really well for some reason.

I have to say, though, that I think the Rams would have lost this game even with Bulger in. It would have been a LOT closer, and they at least would have had a chance, but I think they still would have managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I hope Bulger comes back soon.

i mean, D cant force that much TO's and Off. makes TO's. WTF is that? and also when u see the endzone right in front of you, SCORE A TD because u know that the D cant hold up Peyton manning. ****

weell i'm still pissed off about what happened (obviously). We started the damn game sooo goood, but then Bulger got injured and let Martin<- a ****ing veteran to the Rams and WASNOT PREPARED. like damn

wut more can i say? oh S. Jackson ur a power runner that cant hold the ball? <-start to improve and i swear ur in the Pro bowl :)

So, do you think they have a turnover problem? :sly:

Is it just me or did it look like Jackson just got brushed when he fumbled in the third quarter? I mean, he didn't even go down or look like he got hit but the ball just went flying into the middle of a bunch of Colts players.

Next practice, the entire offense should have to hold a ball from teh moment they step on the field until they step off. Everytime they drop it they have to do 50 push ups, or get a fine. I don't know what kind of power the coaches actually have over the players. Maybe next season a non-forced fumble fine clause can be worked into the contracts?

What I saw before I went to bed Orlando Pace was looking good. There is that bright spot.

yeah,^Pace did an awesome job on Freeney!
oh yea, i cooled off. :) i'm perfectly fine now.
that turnover ratio needs to change, for the better. we're losing games because of it. and i thought we were one of the top disiciplined offenses on the league...
also, WHere's Lovie Smith when u need him? Our DBs are getting killed everyday, we obviously need to make adjustments.

pre-Week tomorrow! i think...

I'm sorry, but the Rams are no longer good. They may be the worst show on turf. Martz's arrogance caught up with him (though I do hope he gets better soon), Marc Bulger is no Kurt Warner, and Isaac Bruce is getting too old to do anything. The defense also has more holes than a block of moldy swiss cheese.

The Seahawks should win the division (weak, though it is). Shaun Alexander is the best back in the game today, and Matt Hasselbeck has turned into a real quarterback (it just took five years longer than Holmgren thought :() The team is also showing that they can win without Jackson and Engram, which is huge right now. When they come back, this offense should be as good as any in the NFL.

The defense though.....

Still, the division is the Seahawks' to lose. But because this is a Seattle sports team we're talking about, they just might. But I'm still optimistic :)

JFM92_GTRacer
danoff, if Bulger was playing he would've ripped the Colts D. they couldnt contain him. :)

No way. The opening of that game was very lucky. The colts dominated on offense the entire rest of the game. They would have done that with or without bulger. In short (minus a turnover or two), bulger would have had to put up well over 30 points in that game to win it. I think the colts' defense adjusted well and would have sinched down on bulger.

As it was, the backup QB was having a good game at first, but then the colts' D figured him out and started reading him like a book. Just like when they picked Bulger.

The Rams' problem is their defense. It's why they couldnt' beat Seatle (who also has a weak D), and it's why they couldn't beat the Colts.

ur just saying that because ur from Seattle. 👎
BTW ur team's fake.

danoff: Bulger+T.Holt+S.Jackson+O-line=Offensive throwdown.
although we wont see that again for the next few weeks. :indiff:

pre-Week 7
NO Saints (???) at STL Rams (2-4)
Battle of the handicapped

injuries, injuries, injuries. that's the name of the game. and STL right now is going through another batch of trouble, why we dont know what we're doing. and with Bulger out, our offense is pointless.

GAME EXPECTATIONS- Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,RunRun,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,RunRunRunRun,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,Run,ctrl+v

^that's what u got to do. Jackson and Faulk baby!!! yea! that should be the game plan and what u'll see and SHOULd see this weekend. and if u dont... LOSS.. that's the consequences.

If the Rams score on a Turnover it's a guaranteed win.

prediction: Saints 17 Rams 23

GO RAMS!! mid-season issues cant stop us! :)

Mid-season issues can and probably will stop the Rams, ha. If they don't run the ball at least 25 times, they will lose. Their secondary is terrible, and although Antowain Smith ran well for New Orleans last week, I imagine that the Saints will still be in a passing mood. Heck, they should get Jackson 25 touches alone. Every game. It's better than Bulger tossing up 50 passes every week.

NO Aint's (2-4)

As much as I hate to kick a homeless and broken man when he is down, I hope we stomp them and help raise the morale and momentum a bit.

It's always nice to see a Seattle Blue Man Group fan try and trash the Rams. We'll see how it goes at the end of the season.

Of course, with current injuries I am thinking maybe this season should just be marked as a learning season. On the other hand we could come away from these injuries with a fury and sweep our way into the playoffs. The NFC is too unpredictable to make any safe bets.

JFM92_GTRacer

BTW ur team's fake.
So? Last I checked, it was acceptable to root for the home team. And we have something to root for this season. Fake? I think that last week, the Seahawks had 50 bona fide human beings on the sidelines, not holograms, so I'm pretty sure it's a real team, and not some creation of the media.

FoolKiller

I don't really need to put much effort into trashing the Rams; they do a pretty good job of doing it themselves :)

However, I can sympathize with your choice in college teams. The Wildcats seem to be doing about as well as the Huskies :)

^WOW! WTF is better than a Seahawks fan writing in my diary?
nah, it's alright j/k. it'll make things over here a lot more interesting.

weell with S. Jackson, FROM LAS VEGAS, as RB... aNYthing can happen.

NO Saints 17- STL Rams 28
WHew!!! close one, AGAIN. WHy???
Anyways, we almost lost this one. With Holt and Bruce out we lost most of our offense. So what did that mean?? Run. But according to this box score: http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=20051023014
i dont think we ran, enough. 30+ carries is what we want. Luckily, we only had 1 TO. YES! 👍 THat's a good sign. Martin was able to play safe.
As for the D, i'd say they had a great game. 2 TO's and a INT for a TD. that's awesome. ONly if we can keep this up.
well i'll end it there. :) and hopefully we dont have to comeback from a 14 point deficeit again.

GO RAMS!!!!!
3-4

For those who haven't heard yet, read this. Martz is out for the season to deal with his health issues. He intends to return next season.

I heard on the radio last night that it was reported he tried to call in a play during the game this week. Supposedly he called a staffer but NFL officials wouldn't let the staffer in to the coaches booth.

It must be hard for him.

Get well soon, Coach.
