OK, I just found my first 200 point race. Yah, now I can join the 200 Club. :) :dopey: :sly:

The Shelby Cobra Cup

Shelby Series 1 Supercharged '03/ FR / 336HP / 1292Kg / 3.85kg/HP / 200 A-Spec

It's worth 200 points in the Shelby Series 1 Supercharged '03, but only if I add 90 units of ballast weight. I'm not sure if this is legal or not. If it's not then the really stock car is worth 185 points. :( Adding ballast weight is an easy way to increase points, and if adjusting the transmission and other settings on a car is legal, then this must be too?

Lineup: 5 x Shelby Cobra 427 '67

All races in the Cup are worth the 200 points. The tracks:
  • Seattle Circuit (Reverse)
  • High Speed Ring (Reverse)
  • New York
  • Laguna Seca
  • Trial Mountain (Reverse)

Actually really easy for 200 points IMO.

on new york they all pile into the corner after the *thinks* second or third straight. makes the race a tad bit easier :D

-EDIT-

DAMMIT :banghead:, I just saw that this has already been done. :( Oh well, there goes my moment of fame, up in smoke eh...

Ballast isn't allowed I'm afraid - HiSpeeds rules, but the Series-1 should get 200 anyway (Least it did when I did it). Keep trying, I'm sure you'll find plenty that people haven't done yet!

66.

That is kind of weird. You should get 200p out of the box.

Did you change the oil after you bought it?

I can't remember - I think I might have. That would account for the points difference, and it's my usual fare to give a car an oil change and then go for a lap of the 'ring. But I thought in this case I did that after I competed. I thought I bought the car then raced it straight away, being in the same menu and everything.

Sorry, I did this race about a week and half ago, but kept forgetting to post these results.

I think I'll buy another and do the series again just to confirm things either way... :)

This thread seems to have died.... no-one doing stock races anymore?
Myself I'm doing the enduros so its taking some time!

Endurance races: Infineon World Sports Car Race
Car: Toyota 7 Race Car '70 / MR / 789HP / 620kg / 0.786kg/HP / 82 A-spec points

Endurance races: Infineon World Sports Car Race
Car: Toyota 7 Race Car '70 / MR / 789HP / 620kg / 0.786kg/HP / 100 A-spec points

Since I won the first attempt I posted but the game crashed:-Infineon Race Report
I wasn't actually awarded the points to add to my tally. Had to do the race again. This time the R92CP was present and it was somewhat harder, hence 100 A-spec points. Haven't got the cash to experiment with the 787B, R390 GT1, or GT-One myself for 200pts yet. Maybe later. :mischievous:

Awesome 👍

The Toyota 7 is a difficult car to win with.

If you want an easy 200p, the 2J is your best bet. I'm going to try a pure used 787b with no oil to see how it does. Pretty close to another go around with the black cars. The 787b I have had an oil change so it's no use.

Would love to, but I'm only at day 391 so far and have only 567,000 in the bank.
Too many used cars for stock races early on! Oh well, got 3 x 24hr races looming and over 3 million in prizemoney coming my way! :D Just got to find 72hrs to do them now :scared:
Been using your awesome a-spec FAQ to determine what sort of tyre/car/lineup combos are likely to work for a lot of the races, but I think going for 200pts in them all, 1st time around may prove too much!

I've got a few 200 pt. races in stock cars to report.

Dream Car Championship: Race 1: Opera Paris
Car: Honda S2000 LM Race Car '01/tires: R3/ 336 hp/ A-Spec points: 200

Real Circuit Tours: Race 8: Nurburgring
Car: Nissan GT-R Concept LM Race Car '02/tires: R3/ 651 hp/ A-Spec points: 200
Car: Toyota au CERUMO Supra '01(JGTC)/tires: R3/ 495 hp/ A-Spec Points: 200

Tsukuba Circuit Wet - Hard
Car: Toyota au CERUMO Supra '01(JGTC)/tires: R3/ 495 hp/ A-Spec Points: 200

Endurance Hall : Grand Valley 300km
Car : Subaru Impreza Super Touring Car '01 (Stock, no oil, R1 tyres) / 4WD / 421HP / 1030kg / 2.446kg/HP / 145 A-Spec points

👍 :D

So what did you think of the Suby?

So what did you think of the Suby?

Scooby was awesome! I know it got 39pts less than your attempt, but I couldn't get nearly the tyre life out of it that you got & knew I'd stand no chance against the RX-8 LM. Once I got the hang of it, with ASM & TCS at 0, lapping consistently in the low 1'54s wasn't a problem, but by lap 10, the fronts were going red & grip was an issue. How you managed 13 or 14 laps with it, in the 1'55 arena is way beyond me!
There's a link in my signature to my A-spec endurance race reports, the result (6s win over Nissan Pennzoil Skyline) is the last thing posted at the moment.
It was only so close because I pitted 5 times against his 3!
I found a 191pt lineup. 14th or 15th lineup after reset, repeatedly. It has RX-8 and Falcon XR8 which both seem to be needed for high points, but I couldn't compete 'cos of high tyre wear!

*Edit* My maths are terrible! 179 - 145 = 34 (not 39!!!) :dunce:

I'm glad you liked it! :D

It could be that having the AIDs on back then made all the difference. I remember being "somewhat" conservative all the way until after the last pit. I had 7 of fastest laps in the last 10. Also, I had very few mistakes. It was the wildest race I've ever been in with that RX-8 4s behind me almost the entire race. Thank God we were on the same pit schedule.

Ya know, I think TCS can be worthwhile for those Endurances!

Has anyone seen Hispeed around recently? He used to be on here all the time, but lately I've not seen him about. Maybe he's on vacation.....

Relax. I'm here. Entries are updated.
Off to a 10+ days vacation starting July 22nd.
As for me being online 24/7, well, only my computer never rests or goes to work.
Have a good one 👍

Don't worry, I wasn't fretting, I was just used to seeing you online when I was logging off in an evening and I've not seen it happen in a while. Maybe I've been going to bed earlier or you've been rising later! There's a 9hr gap between us!
Have a good vacation, hopefully we'll have filled all the gaps by the time you get back!!!

200 point race!
Swarzwald Liga A Race 2: Opera Paris
Car: BMW 2002 Turbo '73/ Tires: S1/ 168 BHP/ 1080 KG/ A-Spec Points: 200
I think this has to be the lineup, as I found no other 200 point lineup (although I didn't try one that had a BMW Z4):
Audi TT 3.2 Quattro
BMW 330i
BMW M Coupe
Audi S3
Volkwagon Golf IV R32

The following results were achieved by doing qualifying on a stock Renault 5 Turbo (Which BTW does NOT seem to have a turbo in stock form).

European Hall: Tous France Championnat race 1 - Paris Opera
Car: Renault 5 Turbo '80 / FR / 159 HP / 969 kg / 6.10 kg/HP / 101 A-Spec

European Hall: Tous France Championnat race 3 - Special Stage 5
Car: Renault 5 Turbo '80 / FR / 159 HP / 969 kg / 6.10 kg/HP / 101 A-Spec

European Hall: Tous France Championnat race 4 - Grand Valley
Car: Renault 5 Turbo '80 / FR / 159 HP / 969 kg / 6.10 kg/HP / 101 A-Spec

European Hall: Tous France Championnat race 5 - Cote D'Azur
Car: Renault 5 Turbo '80 / FR / 159 HP / 969 kg / 6.10 kg/HP / 101 A-Spec

This one done without qualifying. Main reason for the win was that the Berlinetta drove off the track on the high speed right hander towards the end of the lap.

European Hall: Tous France Championnat race 2 - Sarthe
Car: Renault 5 Turbo '80 / FR / 159 HP / 969 kg / 6.10 kg/HP / 98 A-Spec

Volkswagen Lupo Cup Race 3 - Tsukuba
Car: VW Lupo Cup Car '00 / FF / 125hp / 840kg / 6.717kg-HP / 86 A-Spec

Mileage : 42.7 km after the race
Tires : R medium
Pal game.

Power and weight are not available in the valuation screen ( ---- ) , so I wrote the ones given in the garage.

Endurance Hall : New York Streets 200 miles
Car :- Used Lotus Esprit V8 SE '98 (Oil changed, Sports Hard (S1) Tyres) / MR / 353HP (336HP at end)/ 1380kg / 3.909kg/HP / 181 A-spec points

One for which there's no entries yet....

American Hall : All American Championship : All races
Car:- Chaparral 2D Race Car (Stock) / MR / 420HP / 771kg / 1.836kg/HP / All 5 races worth 159 A-spec points.

versus this grid:-

Chevrolet Camaro LM Race Car '01
Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II '04
Chevrolet Corvette C5R (C5) '00
Panoz Esperante GTR-1 Race Car '98
Dodge Viper GTS-R Team Oreca '00
Chaparral 2D Race Car '67

How I got to this lineup:-
After console reset;
Enter Special conditions hall Umbria Rally Normal, and exit.
Enter All American Championship and abandon championship before starting race 1.
Enter All American Championship again. This is the 2nd lineup.

Not sure if it matters which event you enter first, any will probably do as long as its not the All American Championship. I do know that what is listed above is reproducible though.

And another too....

American Hall : Stars and Stripes : Laguna Seca (3 Laps)
Car:- Stock Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 / FR / 450HP / 1762kg / 3.916kg/HP / 143 A-Spec points.

Another stock 200 point A-Spec win:

Special Conditions: Tsukuba Wet (Normal) - Use the Infiniti FX45 Concept. (345hp/1500kg, driver aids off)

The Ford GT really moves on the straights, but the Infiniti takes the rest of the course easily.

I am in the middle of getting the Infiniti through all of the Normal difficulty Special Condition races. The Land Rover Concept is my next project to get through all of the Easy difficulty races.

2 races:
Mercedes Benz CLK GTR in Gran Turismo Championship(even with changed oil):200 pts.
Specs:
CLK:837hp/1000kg/1.195PtW
Trueno:210hp/825kg/3.929PtW

Sprinter Trueno SS version in Tsukuba Wet Normal: 200 pts.
the SL600 will understeer in the rain, no aids and add bbc with 15 front and 24 rear should oversteer a tad bid, but get you an advantage. the only place where the Trueno should be passed is in the sweeper.

GTWC Race 6: New York
200 A-Spec Points:
Car: Gillet Vertigo Race Car/ Tires: R1/ BHP: 897/ Pwr To Weight: 0.870/ Downforce: Fully Lowered

Another new stock 200 pointer that's not already on the list!

Beginners hall: Spider & Roadster Race 2 - Trial Mountain
Car:- Mazda MX-5 Miata 1800 RS (NB,J) '00 (Used, no oil) / FR / 145HP / 1070kg / 7.379 kg/HP / 200 A-Spec points!

Versus 2nd lineup after reset, which has a Nissan 350Z on pole & a Speedster & Elise in the field.

Hope Hispeed is still updating things, there's been quite a flurry of activity here just lately! Also hope he had a great vacation too! A break from maintaining the list probably helps every now & then!
See you around the GTPlanet!

*edit* ooops. :dunce: Just re-read Hispeed's last post, seems he's back from vacation, but has flu! :ill: D'oh, hope you get better soon. :)

*edit* Oh yes oh yes oh yes oh yes! Finally did what I've been chasing for a while now! So unbelievable I have made sure to keep the replay for verification if anyone needs it! It's taken me at least 15 attempts, but still!
Beginner Hall : Sunday Cup : Autumn Ring Mini (2 Laps)
Car:- Honda S500 '63 / FR / 46HP / 675kg / 14.674kg/HP / 200 A-Spec Points!

Versus (in starting & finishing order):-
Mazda DEMIO SPORT '03
Renault Megane 2.0 16V '03
MINI COOPER '02
VW Polo GTI '01
BMW 120i '04

5 cars nearly 40 years its junior & it still won by a hair over 0.2s!

Special Conditions: Tour of Tahiti Fwd (Hard)
Car: Super Evo Rally Car vs. Ford RS200 for 159 A-Spec Points

Special Conditions: Tour of Tahiti Rev (Hard)
Car: Super Evo Rally Car (10 ballast) vs. Lancia Delta S4 for 200 A-Spec Points
