Nice job, bhawk776! I tried the last couple of races in that car too, to see where I could get, since I'm 2 races short of completing the Sunday Cup in 5 different stock cars & 200pt races, and I'm NOT resorting to the Dodge Ram! :yuck:
Alas, the Nissan just isn't lively enough to keep up at Clubman Stage 5 or Motegi West Short course. :(

Tonight's effort, another car, another race....:)

Special Condition Events : George V Rally : George Paris Reverse (Normal Difficulty)
Car: Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX STi Version V (GC) '98 (Used, no oil) / 4WD / 252HP / 1270kg / 5.0kg/HP / 124 A-spec points vs. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR GSR '04

*edit* Next! A match of new versus old for a surprisingly high number of points!
Special Condition Events : George V Rally : George Paris Reverse (Hard Difficulty)
Car: Renault Clio Sport Trophy V6 24V Race Car '00 (Comes stock with RSH tyres) / MR / ?HP (298HP from garage screen) / 1150kg / 3.9kg/HP (using garage HP value) / 178 A-spec points vs. Renault 5 Maxi Turbo Rally Car '85

Rules: No tuning (stock car -> i.e. you cant buy any new parts, but you can change all settings possible except ballast). Oil change allowed. No wallriding or shortcuts. 2 tires on the track at all times. S2 or S1 tires for any car, R3->S1 tires for race cars.

Are these all of the rules, is it anything goes with AI contact?

I just completed a race that doesn't have a 200 A-Spec Point race entered yet, so before I post it I want to make sure that I know that its legal.

Didn't think of this as I always drive clean. Ramming other cars or using other cars to ride a corner would not be appropriate, slight touching is OK.

I posted this earlier, but got no responses, so I'll try again. I'd value some opinions as I've been holding off doing this particular race until I'd got a verdict.

"I have a question regarding tyres for endurance races. It says elsewhere in the thread, that R1 or R2 tyres are a definite no-no for road cars, which is fine when the enduros are limited to Normal or Sport tyres. However, for something like Laguna Seca 200 miles, where the field is mostly stock supercars on R1/R2 tyres, isn't it fair to have a stock 200 point entry on R1/R2 tyres count? It'd be very difficult to keep up for 90 laps on S1/S2 tyres and be competetive in a stock 200pt ride. I totally agree that if its a short race with no tyre restrictions, and the rest of the field is running S tyres, then R tyres are out, but R tyres make sense for the enduros where the competition run Rs too, otherwise there's an unfair bias in their favour. What's everyone else think?"

Smallhorses, I would tend to go for a more strict interpretation of the word 'stock': To me it means 'no changes whatsoever'. Changing the tyres makes the car non-stock IMHO but it has long been accepted here so in your particular case I'd say do it and see if it gets knocked back (I would knock it back BTW)

Thanks hispeed for clearing the rules up for me 👍 The race I was talking about was at the Beginners Hall: FF Challenge - Grand Valley using the Honda Accord Coupe '88 (used,no oil). At this time I'm not going to entry it, I feel I used the AI a little to much on a corner :ouch: , but I thought I share it with you guys so you could try it if you wanted to.

@smallhorses, IMO if the rest of the field is running with R1 or R2 then you should be allowed to use the same tires. I did a lap then watched the replay, the field is definitely using racing tires. I don't know what racing tire the AI is using but I'm sure you've done your homework and know their pit strategy.

Extreme Hall: GT All-Stars Race 10 - Nurbergring
Car: Dodge Viper GTS-R Taem Oreca '00(R2 tires) / 627hp from garage menu(no oil) / 1150 / 200 A-Spec Points

Results
Code:
(6)Dodge Viper GTS-R team Oreca 12'40.301
(5)BMW V12 LMR Race Car '99 12'42.131
(2)Toyata GT-ONE Race Car '99 12'43.151
(3)Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car '98 n/a
(4)Pagani Zonda Race Cra '01 n/a
(1)Chevrolet Camaro LM Race Car '01 n/a
Lap 1: 6'23.992
Lap 2: 6'16.309

This is one of the best GT4 experiences that I have had :D ! If you like the Nurbergring, you should definitely try this out. A very close battle the entire race. 👍 👍

Excellent! Both extremely valid points, and still has me pondering!
Thing is, for example, if we insist on totally stock cars including tyres, we'd never get any entries for any of the dirt or ice races, since none of the cars, as far as I'm aware, come with dirt or ice tyres. You have to change the tyres to be eligible, and therefore change the car from its "strictly" stock form. Since your competition in these races is using the tyre that you are forced to use, I think the same should go for a long enduro race like Laguna Seca. Otherwise its necessary to use a car with such an enormous power advantage, to negate the effects of running S1 or S2 tyres against 5 other cars on R1 or R2 tyres, that the A-spec points become negligible. The thinking cap will stay on until I get some more feedback from Hispeed too, since he is the lawmaker 'round these here parts!

In the meantime, assuming we're allowed to put dirt tyres on normal cars for the rallies.....

Special Conditions : Swiss Alps Rally : Easy difficulty

Hi bhawk776 I'm up for giving this a shot, as I don't have a stock 200pt entry for this race yet. Which lineup were you racing against? Can you tell me how to get to it, e.g. enter/exit 3 times, or enter ..... race, then enter FF challenge.... etc etc.
These rallies are getting to me. The 5 sec rule sucks like a litter of piglets! AI can get away with ramming you into walls, knowing you'll spend the next 5s at 31mph while he strolls off into the distance! :yuck:
Not to mention the cost of tyres for each different car! :grumpy:

Has anyone heard from hispeed or know what he's up to?

The first post in this thread hasn't been update since September 24th. Is he on holiday, busy at work?...

He's just flat-out busy!
I'll be making an effort to update my text file for the stock races over the coming weekend. Once that's done I'll e-mail it to Hispeed and request that your name is added to the Club 200 list. In the meantime keep the races coming!

Line up:

Mazda 323F '93
Ford Taurus SHO '98
Peugeot 206 S16 '99
Nissan Primera 20V '01
Mitsubishi Eclipse Gt '95

I didn't write down how many enter/ exits it took to get this line up but I'm thinking it was around 7-9

I did have to block going down the straight but I think I read somewhere in this thread it was ok to block.

EDIT: @ smallhorses, take a look at the 5th page of this thread. It has info about the R1 tires for the endros.

I'm going to take back what I said about the rallies temporarily, this race was a riot! :D Fair number of points too, but the car is just such a rally legend that I had to do a dirt race in it!

Special Conditions : Yosemite Rally I : Easy difficulty
Car: Alpine A110 1600S '73 / RR / 139HP / 715kg / 5.1kg/HP / 167 A-spec points vs. Toyota Celica GT-Four RC (ST185) '91 👍 👍 👍

*edit*
Special Conditions : Yosemite Rally II Reverse : Normal difficulty
Car: Subaru Legacy B4 RSK '98 / 4WD / 250HP / 1440kg / 5.8kg/HP / 99 A-spec points vs. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV GSR '96

I decided to give the Supercar Festival a go since I know all of the cars that are eligible now. :sly:

Profession Hall: Supercar Festival Race 1 - 5
Car: Mercedes SL 55 (R230) '02 / Fr / 493hp(no oil) / 1955kg / 200 A - Spec Points

I have the results and line ups for all of the races if anyone would like me to post them.

Greetings stock car enthusiasts!

The list is updated. Some adjustments have been made to the rules stating that you are not to use AI cars to "ride" through corners. RSH tires are allowed in the Laguna Seca enduro as PD have made all AI cars using racing tires. This is an exeption to the rules I had to think about quite a while, as it opposes to the thought of "stock car".

Ferrari_Chris is in the 200 club.

Keep up racing, more gaps to be filled, including:

Extreme Hall: PD cup, premium sports
European classic cars, european hot hatch, 1000 miles, shwartzwald B- suzuka
Japan: JGTC, Japanese 70'ies, 80'ies, 90'ies

manufacturers races

Don't be shy, It doesn't have to be 190-200 pts, start low and crawl up!

See ya all!

Hi Hispeed!

Good to see you're back around again!
Love the rule changes. Feel a 200pt special at Laguna coming on! 👍

Nice job Toronado! Another unusual choice of entry with a high points tally! 👍

Tonight's first, and possibly, only entry:-
Special Conditions : Tour of Tahiti : Normal difficulty
Car: Mitsubishi CZ-3 Tarmac '01 / 4WD / ?HP (230HP on garage screen) / 1200kg / ?kg/HP (5.2kg/HP using garage value) vs. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI RS T.M.E. 136 A-Spec points.

As an aside, did anyone else notice how bad that particular Esprit's brakes are? It slid off of the track at the end of the Fuji straight from the Start/Finish line. You can imagine how bad it was after the whole straight.

Sadly enough, even though I'm now around 44% complete, I've still only done one race in the Beginner League MR challenge, so I don't have that particular prizecar to check out yet! I'll bear in mind what you said about the brakes when I get me hands on it though! Got to find 4 more suitable MR rides to enter in that yet though, something with enough power to win, but keeping it stock and with high points is a challenge!

Another race....
Special Conditions: Yosemite Rally I (reverse) : Normal difficulty
Car: Subaru Legacy B4 Blitzen '00 / 4WD / 250HP / 1450kg / 5.8kg/HP/ vs. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV GSR '96 97 A-spec points.

Strange how this car, even with the same power, but 10kg heavier than the Legacy B4 RSK gets 2 points less, against the same AI opposition!

If you want TRUE STOCK, then it should also be the case that you can't change tires...

I don't know what happened but I feel neglected! :( ;)

Seriously, I had some of these a LONG time ago.

Premium Sports: M3 GTR. 200p across the board. Only NY was a pain
Japan 80s: Toyota MR2 G-Lim SC '86 on S1s for 200p 4/5 Races. Had to go with S3s at Apricot which dropped me to 193p.
Japan 90s: Toyota MR2 Spyder '99 for 200p at Grand Valley, Motegi and SSR5.
PD Cup: As you may recall, route did in a stock RAM. Cheatin', yes, but there's no other vehicle that has been found to get 200p.

Well... While I'm at it I might as well go down the line.

FF Challenge: Peugeot 106 Rallye '03, 200p at Suzuka and Hong Kong. Lupo GTi '01, 190p at Grand Valley
4WD Challenge: Audi S3 '98, 200p across the board.
MR Challenge: Lotus Elise Type 72 on S1s: 200p for all but New York and Fuji.
Spider & Roadster: Squeaked out 199p in a '99 MR-2 Spyder at Motegi.
Clubman: Elise 111R for 173p at Seoul
Dream Car: You missed Seoul. M3 GTR again for 200p on R2s. Did Sarthe on R3s for 188p.
British Lightweight: I forgot your rules but I did these in a Elise Type 72 on N2s for 146p. If N2s don't count, just ignore.
DTCM: 190E on the stock R1s for 191p at Midfield and High Speed Ring. Needed to upgrade to R2 or R3s for the other races. I'm sure I (or somebody here) could easily do the Ring on R1s. I ended up completing it for 200p on R1s at 40kg of ballast.
Liga B: I don't have an entry to provide but I had completed these between 155 and 175p (varied tires) with an M3 with just basic handling upgrades. I'm sure you could drop the handling upgrades and make the M3 work. Did use a stock Audi S4 '02 for 193p at the Ring.
JGTC: This will be interesting. I used the Altezza and Wedsport but needed to upgrade to R3s. I wonder if the 190E would work?

Manufacturer Races:
Peugeot 206 Cup: 157p in Peugeot 206 Rall Car EASY :sly:
Audi TT Cup: Audi 1.8T for 121p at Deep Forest and El Cap
Silver Arrow: SL500 '20 at Fuji for 200p. A 190E at Paris for 200p and a 190E the Ring for 147p (No McLaren).
SL Challenge: SL500 '02 for 162p at El Cap
Lupo Cup: Lupo Cup Car for 115p at Fuji and the Ring
Honda Type R: Accord Euro-R '02 for 200p at Autumn Ring, Suzuka and and Motoroland. 198p at Motegi and Tsukuba.
Civic: 1500 3door 25i w/o oil at Suzuka for 167p
Mitsubishi Evo: Evo VI GSR TME '00, 121p at SC5, 124 at Fuji, 126 at Tokyo. 17p in Evo VIII GT-A '02 w/o oil at SC5.
March Brothers: 200p in the Cube EX at both Autumn Ring and Suzukua
Club "Z": 194 in 280Z-L at El Cap
Star of Pleiades: Legacy Touring Wagon 3.0R '03 at Deep Forest and Laguna for 200p
Suzuki K-Car: Wagon R RR w/o oil for 103p at Autumn Ring and Motorland.
Toyota Vitz: Vitz F for 186p at Suzuka, Vitz Euro Sport w/o oil for 164p at Motegi and Autumn Ring

Super Speedway: Used 787B (w/oc for 801hp) on R1s for 106p. Could've worked for a slightly better lineup.

El Cap 200: NSX-R Concept on S1s for 200p
New York 200: RUF 3400RS on S1s for 200p

Well... there's my little contribution :D

Jeez jdw make updating the list again a pain, why don't you!!!!

That's some impressive work, although Hispeed only mentions the tyre exception for Laguna Seca Endurance which does appear to be an exception to the rest of the Enduros in that its road cars running race tyres. Keeping up in anything on "stock" SM tyres is impossible! Also if you couldn't swap tyres at all, there'd be no stock entries for any of the dirt/snow events.

I see a lot of your entries are in the list already, but next time I make the updates to my text file I'll try to add the rest of those in there, any chance of you listing some of the stats for the cars too, drivetrain, power, PWR etc? Doesn't really matter, but its helped me in the past looking at other peoples entries to see what sort of power or PWR I should go for to get high points, but remain competetive.

*edit* been through and added all the races you've run in cars that have been posted elsewhere with stats. The list in post #1 will get updated next time I send the text file to Hispeed, which probably won't be for a little while yet. If you could edit your post above to include stats, that'd help me out a ton!

4WD Challenge: Audi S3 '98, 200p across the board.

I see you have a 130-something point entry for this at Fuji already, but I'm confused by the typo above. Did you mean Audi S4 '98? In which case, which lineup gives 200pts? Or the Audi S3 '02, again against which lineup? I know we'd discussed the 2nd lineup after reset, with the RS200 present which is usually the highest yield, but that's what you beat in the S4 right?
Thanks, in advance, for your help. :)

Woohoo! My first 200pt dirt race! It's a beauty!

Special Conditions: Yosemite Rally II : Easy difficulty
Car: Nissan Bluebird 1600 SSS Rally Car (510) '69 / FR / 129HP / 965kg / 7.5kg/HP vs. Audi Quattro '82 200 A-spec points! :D

Thanks GT4freak32492! Glad you found the thread.
💡 When you make the edit to fix the torque & PWR, can you adjust the layout too?

If you put it like this:-

Car / Drivetrain / HP / weight / PWR / points (using the values on the selling screen in the garage)

all on one line, it's easier for me to copy & paste into my text file, or directly into post #1 for Hispeed. 👍

Look forward to some more submissions from you soon, look out for your name in post #1 after the next update. Probably next weekend.

Endurance races: Laguna Seca 200 miles
Lotus Esprit Turbo HC / MR / Tires: R1 / Power: 229 BHP (oil change)/ 1146 KG/ PWR: 5.011 / 200 A spec points
Against This Lineup:
Shelby Series 1 (I'm starting to hate racing him)
Cheverolet Corvette Z06
Proto Motors Spirra (him as well)
Cheverolet Corvette ZR-1
Saleen S7 (I hate him with all of my will. Good thing he drives about half as fast as he could)

Brakes weren't as much of a problem on this track as they were on Fuji. Finished the race about 7s ahead of the Saleen. Average lap time was around 1:32s. Best lap 1:29.16. About the third best race I've ever taken part in.

Nice job. Not necesarrily because the car is heavy, low on power, worth high A-Soec points (good job on that too though), or an Acura, but because it is FF. :sly:
