Oddly, after watching a fair bit of the replay last night i could not see what happened with Fili.
He started on RM as did Vic, Lozza and Blue from what the replay seemed to say.
Fili was still able to stay with the front runners who were on RS though and kept in touch with them for a long time.

On the Pace lap, Gueven reported that he lost his instruments - and was messaging and dropping back with many of us behind him, and in the end i think the pack from 6th back was over 13 seconds behind the leader going over the line when it went green.

I think anyone looses instruments , pressing the start button brings them back ?

Apart from that it looked from the replay a great scrap at the front, with Sken Fili Phaed Srt and Nissman.

The rest of us were a it spaced apart after a long gap.

I had a good race with Agro Tnt and Tony for a while but it was a good race and enjoyed by me.
I made a small mistake on lap 39 under tunnel 1 and had a bit of damage but only lost 7 seconds.

I have to say that i was surprised - when a group of us came to lap Vic, he would not move aside, and although he was of similar speed to the group lapping him it really is wrong not to give way to the cars lapping him.

Also a similar thing with Snake, and that ended with Snake being forced off at turn 1, then he left the race.

Not really sure what you guys were up to, very unusual in my opinion, as i would always say that you both would normally move over and let lapping cars past ? i was surprised.

Agro you left halfway through ? what happened. ?

Mikey, you did Q then went ?

Ok Guys
here is the BHP settings for the series.

Its harsh on all you really fast guys, and if after 5 races it seems too harsh then we may have to edit a bit, however its better to start harsh and have to ease it up a bit than the other way round.

The whole idea of the series is to try to ensure all drivers get a chance of winning, not great for you elite guys again, but we must remember this is a handicapped series which means all have a chance.

This may very well mean at some tracks you are running round midpack or worse just trying to grab a few points,
not something some of you are used to, but for many of us its all we are used to.

Fairness is the most important thing here.

Not completely sure how did i end up in group with Skeng and Nissman? They had 15bhp less, they beat me by large margin... In first race in my life that i ended without crashes... only after i practiced my guts and brains out to just barely finish ahead od SRT (but only because he was thinking there's one more lap)

But i'll take it on the chin, thank you. After all, in only 5 short races i'll be in group that will give me a chance to challenge

Look at the way tony overtook me. Atleast two divebombs and about 5 or 6 hits

Filipino, maybe that comes from being virtually impossible for car with 455bhp to overtake one with 480bhp when driven by able driver like you and determined to defend your position...

But, bhp caps ARE NEEDED to make championship alive... Yeah, but also it's impossible for driver in uderpowered car to drive when he has 0% chance to overtake anyone on skill (only if someone lets him through or crashes in front of him, or accepts bit of forcefulness from car that otherwise has 0% to EVER overtake him).

Question to all - Would you somewhere in future (not now) consider that only HALF OF DRIVERS HANDICAP is served in form of bhp cap and OTHER HALF by simple deduction of ''x'' percentage from points (not after season ends, but during the season just as bhp handicap changes if needed)...

Yes this is going to be one of the issues on most tracks, that the elite guys with less bhp will only ever have a chance of passing into or through the corners, and for it to work we all have to be aware of that.

Please also remember Phaed that most of the guys i know very well, and have raced and trained with for 18 months, and there are 9 of us that could race and have a close championship without any penalties.

I can see that you are at a slightly faster level than we are, and rather than give a small handicap, as we did last season, that ended up not enough and the same 4 people won every race, but also were very unhappy when midseason i suggested a higher bhp.

I would rather start on a higher bhp and reduce it if needed.

However as the drivers points and bhp multiplication will ensure the championship is close.

Even if it means some have to drive with no chance of winning at some races, many of us have done that for many many races.

HELLOOOOOO , have we all fallen asleep ? nobody is writing and nobody is practisien and we are close for liftoff for the coming season ?? are the new regulation too harcsh or what ? something seems too be wrong in my humble opinion , come on guys , lets have some fun 💡

edit - IN FOR MONDAY and rest off the season too

Excuse my lack of posting, have been busy moving and settling into the new house. Sadly I've had zero practice in these new cars to be honest as I've been waiting for our internet to transfer over to this new place, nearly two weeks later and it finally went on yesterday.
I'll be quite occupied with practice for LM24 qualifying this weekend but will get a solid day before race day to settle in with a new GT500, a chassis which I'm familiar with so hopeful I can find pace. I obviously haven't experienced racing with the new ballasts so don't have an opinion on that, 25bhp is a bit of a difference though, but I'm just itching to race.

Really excited for Monza though and to rejoin a lot of the boys from last season and of course join all the new guys on track :).

@Mikey24 dude would you like to team up? :).

Good stuff Pubs, i think Monza will see the most dramatic effect of the bhp differences, but in tests on many tracks the elite guys can still do their stuff with 30 bhp less, amazing, anyway, it will hopefully ensure the championship points stay close and therefore after the first race when we revert to the championship points table for the bhp settings it should work out ok, and we will review it anyway after 5 races.

Dont forget its all stock settings, abd and brake balance are the only adjustments apart from bhp.

For me personal I totally dislike the behavior of the car, it is right to sticky…just too easy. Not fun to drive. Definitely on RS tires.

Due to that if you push it to the limits, and if you are having the slightest incident it is quit impossible to come back. There is almost no difference if you would drive this vehicle with a pad or a wheel. And then I’m not talking about the horrible sound. (Vacuum cleaner)

I’m really thinking about skipping this season due to that. I will give it another try on Monday to see what it gives. I find it really frustrating....

Gosh Snake, thats a shame, i hoped the car being easy to drive would mean that there would be less crashes and more chance of closer racing.

i will go and open up a room and practise for the monday race , so feel free too join iff your up for it

EDIT - regarding too that the car is too easy , then i will like too VOTE for shifting the car out with the 125 shifter kart

It is a really easy car to drive, maybe too easy. I kind of feel my body going slack after a half an hour. The reason I liked the lexus so much is that I could deliberately tune it so it's difficult and fun to drive.

But an easy car to drive results in a closer field so, yeah, I get it. That's just my 2 cents though.

Its certainly way better than the lexus vgt. That car provided as much stimulation as a padded isolation cell
