How can you be sure dumb-ass?

I'm 15!! What did you expect? What did you race at your fifteenth? Your tricycle? You can't even afford kartng let alone handle a 125cc kart at 18000rpm and 120km/h, think before you speak!

dude go-karts are gay. there for little people who think going 60 in a overpowered Power Wheel is fun. So whatever dont talk about cart racin in here.

That's the stupidest remark I've heard from you so far.

Don't diss things you don't know anything about, or can't even spell. And as far as karting, professional karting, goes: you would probably, or certainly, **** your pants.

And stop typing like a retard.

So whatever dont talk about cart racin in here.

Who's talking about CART racing?

Street "racers" are the people who actually cannot, or don't dare to race. Seeing who can shift faster or trottle harder isn't racing! There is no thrill in that! You guys go to an event, race 3 times, for 12 seconds. That's 36seconds of track time per day. Yeehay, who's the "racer"?!

I think it's very sad and disturbing what you do, if you want to race, go to a racetrack and race wheel to wheel, not side by side in a straight line! You'll probably **** your pants.
And don't bring your nawzy civic.

"Streetracing is not a crime"
Streetracing actually is a crime, duh.
Apparently there is enough ppl that like it, and enuf ppl that like watching it that it is put on ESPN. Maybe you dont like watching ppl drag racing but i do, and lots of other ppl do to.

See - this is the thing. At 100kmh, you cover 1.67kmh a minute. That's a lot of ground.

At that speed, you could come across a security car, a patrol car, or, more to the point, ME, very quickly.

The whole reason it is illegal to race on the road is because it is an uncontrolled environment. Racetracks are a controlled environment, where the track is only used by competitors, with marshalls observing events and warning participants.

The point of my earlier post was that I am regularly driving in situations where there is 'no-one around'. I've already been involved in one near-miss with guys racing on the street at 4.45 in the morning.

When you drive on the street, you must ALWAYS assume someone is around - because there usually is.

Just out of interest - have you done any advanced driver training?

dude that is so right. how come thousands of people go to drags.
Also Import drag racing is really becoming popular.

And yes this thread was leading somewhere you til you homos came in and started talking bad about street racing.

Also i do know about go-cart racing, my friend does it and i laugh all the time at him for doing it. He thinks its kinda gay to so he's quitting after this season. He also street racers and thinks Great, he thinks the track is boring

plus you've never seen were i race so how do you know if anyone is around?

Do not resort to name calling. I have conducted myself in a civil fashion, I expect the same in return.

You asked for opinions on street racing and in the face of multiple responses stating it is dangeous, your sum counterargument has been 'it's fun'.

ok im sorry ill be more polite while defending my position

Thank you - I don't get involved in the name calling.

You've obviously managed to convince yourself that what you're doing is safe. I just hope that if you have any incidents they don't involve anybody else.

I note you did racing school but not advanced driver training (as in on the road training).

You may also get caught by the police - are you prepared for that? People who see that sort of thing tend to call the police.

Ya that was a dumbass move. No one should ever race in the rain.

I want to say this when a fellow racer get hurt or dies its a sad day in our world. I remeber when my friend was racing on I-75 and some moter******* trucker decided he wanted some fun and cut my friend off. My friend crashed and he broke his arm but other than that he was ok.

Most good racer make a point to make the racing safe.

Im sorry about your friend.

Then you may ruin your own, and more to the point, someone else's life (possibly someone innocent).

Not your choice to make, fella...

Dude i wont hurt anyone else. If i race on a road with no people on it then how do i hurt someone.

you've never seen were i race so you dont realize how vancent it is.

nevermind, you're too stupid to have some sort of respect for innocent human beings...

You have totally missed the point - you are running in an uncontrolled environment - it doesn't matter how vacant it is, anyone at anytime can drive there, and you are taking an illegal risk racing on the street.

You mentioned before that you had been caught once before and that you had received a ticket, so your judgement as to no-one being around could be called into question.

There's nothing else to say - if none of the above has not opened your eyes to what you're doing, then all I can say is I genuinely hope you are not involved in an incident - and that if you are, I hope it is only you and no-one else. I imagine it would be interesting trying to explain to your insurance company how you came to be involved in a high speed accident in the middle of a vacant area at some late hour.

Feel free to continue rationalising your actions.

i would summit it to the insurence.
also who would be out in the middle of the country with one houses around at 2;30 in the moring.

I would - I regularly commute interstate and through the country overnight and in the early hours.

i ment to i wouldn't summit it.
Well when we race we have a guy that sit down at the end of the street to make sure cars aren't coming.

BTW thanks for your input i may not have stopped me but may have stopped someone eles.
