i just want to say that i love racing and that it takes skill to "shift fast", and guys leave streetracer alone he just doesn't understand what you guys are telling him, it's leading nowhere, so would you guys be so kind and just drop it, oh streetracer if you wanna talk about streetracing come to my thread "Imports' in the multimedia forum, you'll be welcome there

it takes no skill to shift fast, what you do when shifting fast is most probably change gears with the clutch partially engaged and all your doing is screwing up your gearbox. street racing is for idiots and ****heads alike. if you want to kill yourself, fine, just dont expect me to go easy if you kill any of my family you inconsiderate pricks.

Yes it does take skill to time all the shift perfectly. It takes a lot of practice.

Yo Puffy ill come on ove and check your thread out.

I'm not going to come in here and lie to you all, but I'm sort of afraid of the "flames" I'll be recieving for this.:nervous:

I have raced on the street, and I like it, but I like track racing better. I'm not some ricer who goes out on the weekend with the mission of racing; for me, it's just driving around, and racing someone if they ask to do so. I never exceed the speed limit during a race, and I never do the "road" racing where you go dangerously above ther speed limit around turns to see if you can keep better control of the vehicle than the other person.

I'll probably quit fairly soon as I'm starting to grow out of it. It's not as "fun" as it used to be, and reading stories like the one PunkRock posted on another board just tear me up inside. I started crying after reading the story about PR's friend, Matt.:( I'm very sorry about what happened to your friend, Punk.

thank you Josh.

i was starting to slowly get back into that sort of things... i was racing people from stoplights from time to time... after re-reading this thread i posted on the other forum, after feeling what i felt when it all happened, i decided to give up. The track is safer than the street, therefore that's where i'll do my racing from now on. No more stop light GP, no more impromptu highway blasts...

life's too short to waste it stupidly...

Look, I'll admit I did some pretty stupid things in my late teens/early twenties (although I never raced anyone) - and looking back I was pretty lucky. I just don't want to see someone get sucked into a situation where they take themselves and someone else out needlessly.

It probably is something you grow out of - must be that first glimpse of mortality....

yes i agree it something you grow out of. i'll probaly hate racing in a few years

yeeeaaa rite "streetracer", you kno u drag, that the only thing hondas are good at, FRONTWHEEL BURNOUTz
hahahahahahahahahaha :D

ya you just keep thinking that. And i do drag race every now and then, but road racing is more fun.

Something must be wrong with my Honda, cause I've never been able to do a front wheel burnout, no matter how hard I pop the clutch at WOT(wide-open throttle.)
Come to think of it, my front wheels never spin when I do that either, only the back ones...:reallyodd:devil::D

ya i said i've done it because i have and it was hard to do while moving. It's easy to do while sitting at a light, but it dont do it much because it messes with my tires and tires aint cheap. Burnouts are for American cars any way.

i just want to know why the poll says more people Like Street Racing? I mean who's voting most of the people in here hate racing. ANy way i see more like it and thats a good thing. Well for me a least.

I was actually referring to Josh's post.

most people dont really give 2 ****s and a christmas turkey.

if you dont beleive me about screwing up your gearbox, take your box down to your local service guy and get him to count the teeth on the bottom of the box.

when you quickshft, you will always be shifting with the clutch either fully engaged or not fully engaged. im sure you have had a few 'pops' or 'clicks' when quickshifting. thats the sound of your gearbox telling you to stop being a ****wit and drive your ****ty stock riceburner the way its meant to be driven - NORMALLY!

sorry...ahh what am i saying, street racers are ****heads who think they are cool because they can go over the speedlimit.

I believe healty shifting is refered to as "granny shifting".

first off i dont think im cool in anyway. more of a geek who hangs with like 10 people.
Also i hate to tell you but my gearbox is fine. Never had any sort of tranny problem.
If you know how to shift then you dont mess up. IMO that i missed shifts when i was first learning how to drive stick.
Finally Dudebusta lets respect others veiws on street racing. dont swear about it discuss your dislike of it in a civil manner please.
