Just saw this on my local news website. Not too far from me, this happened. All I can say is why?

Please note, It is extremely difficult and painful to watch and I caution you. Also, heavy language.

I've gotten into some verbal fights before but this is just mega bull crap and I would never do something like this. Wow, I'm amazed. Whoever put this on YouTube is stupid for thinking they could get away with it. If anything delete the video and never put it up on YouTube. You'd still get in trouble though.

These kids deserve to get the living crap kicked out of them, people like them are the filth of the world, wait until they're older, it'll be much worse. Beyond unacceptable. Poor lady.

That's just the way kids are now-a-days ....... NO RESPECT !!!

(no need to watch the video, the story was enough)

Teenagers are evil!

Except me (14 years old).

What ignorant students. Wouldn't do a nice thing for the life of them. That's what is wrong with America nowadays, nobody ever cares anymore. I know they are teens but come on, they should know better.

This was in Greece, not the US.

Greece, NY

Teenagers are evil! Assuming they are teens. I didn't watch the video.

(most of them)

Generalizations like these are things I'm not a fan of. Judging a very large group of people based on the actions of a very small group is never a good idea. This only causes more problems.

I'm speaking from experience. Say what you want. It's my opinion.

I can't believe that kids that are my age does crap like that, disrespecting the elders. That lady never desevere any of that insults, and harassments. Those kids are going to regret doing that while in court.

They are middle schoolers so yeah. About 13-14 maybe 15.

I hate middle schoolers with a passion that burns with the heat of a thousand suns. They think they're on top of the world and no one can tell them otherwise. Happily, they usually get straightened out when they hit high school.

They're what I call the "yes" generation because as they grew up, their parents never said "no" to them, never properly punished them, and therefore, the kids never gained any respect for them. When I grew up, if you stepped out of line, you practically got whipped.

Their is a place called Greece in NY?

There's also a place called Mexico in New York. I live near both of them. And by "New York", we're referring to New York State.

You're free to have an opinion and base it on your experience, but if it is/isn't an opinion built on non sense is what matters, nothing will change that.

Yes, there is also a China, NY if you're interested.

This is horrible, if I were that old lady, they would have had to get the brains of those ****tards off of me.

I myself am 15, and I can tell you that I really want to push them off the face of the earth. Poor lady, what wrong did she do to deserve that torture? I hope consequences will ensue.

Once they're old enough to realize the humiliation they put her through those kids will likely shed the same tears just thinking about it. I know because there were times as a kid I was mean to others and I've laid awake at night thinking about the damage I've done, I even contacted my 7-8th grade teacher and apologized for some of the mean things I said. Kids will be kids people will be people, forgive and forget.

I've felt that way with my parents. Laid awake and cried. I felt horrendous

Wow $100,000 just for her. She didn't deserve that attack from those kids

She didn't but she also doesn't deserve $100,000 for it, not that I care. All she deserves is an apology.

What the hell is wrong with children these days? All involved in this need a good beating.

You're 16 and you say that as if you experienced kids from "those days".
People have been picking on people since forever.

That's nice of you 👍 but still doesn't tell me your point. It's cool, though.

I don't think anyone should be treated in this manner, age makes little difference. I would rather take all the mean words those kids have than let them do it to another child.

If you read all the material in the Jalopnik article, you'll see that the only reason they are raising money is because they found her Facebook page and she was saying things like she didn't have much money, but she'll keep doing her job because she loves it, etc. The little graphic from the money raising site says that their goal was to get her a dream vacation and they wanted to raise $5,000.

The reason it's grown to $100k+ is the sheer number of people that are donating. Honestly, if people want to give their money away to something like this, that's their decision.
