Or...2 specified cars at one track, each person makes their best hot laps in both cars, add the times for each car together for the submitted time that week.

Interesting idea! But for the best race, the cars would have to contrast eachother nicely (Ex. Honda S2000 and Dodge Viper), and the track would have to be able to cater to both cars nicely (A tuned Viper around Seattle would be a nightmare, and an S2000 at a straighter track would not be too exciting).

And I'd really like to see the Elise be a competitive car to drive, I've been dying to use it in the WRS.

I don't like the idea of having two races at tracks like Seattle and Rome, I think it might be best to go with something like Grand Valley or Deep Forest here 👍.

Heinrich makes a good suggestion. That course would make a high power, torquey car more interesting to drive, its similar to rally, and does not require dirt tires...

Suggestion for race 100 :)

Car = GT40 Race car stock with settings optional
Tracks = Complex String Forward and Complex String Reverse

Best Total time wins the week 👍

Sometimes you'll get the odd brainfart on occasion from me :D

Gotta drool at the thought of it though  :sly:

Kent Good Job on choosing this weeks race. As for a race we should use that Tickford car on SSR5 wet. Dont know why it just seems like an odd match.

I think we should do something kinda like this week... where we get a nice selection of cars. Perhaps something that limits to FF maybe? Smaller budget, larger budget... who knows. But I really like being able to pick a car outta a good sized list :D

Yer, this week's race was kind of special. I think though, that budgeting somewhat limits the selection. Specifying MAX hp, PWR and vehicles not to be used would broaden the car selection further. Tire grade is something else to consider. Most challenges will not include the best cars, but I often see them riding on the highest grade tire possible. Sport tires along with lower grade tires makes for interesting play as well.

I was talking with a new guy... he suggested running something on sim tires :D Now that would be interesting

I’ve relied on sim tires quit a bit and I do not believe they are appropriate for these weekly races considering the various skills levels among the players here. A sim tire car combo would have to be carefully selected to minimize frustration levels. Some cars perform extremely well on sim tires while others are absolutely horrid!
That’s unless you like to drive on ice with bald tires.

I have an idea, although it's probably not a very good one. I'll still throw it out there, though. What about a type of triathlon where we'd use different cars like front wheel drive, rear wheel drive, and all or 4 wheel drive? A different type of car for each stage and a tuning cap on each car as in this week's race (week 99). Each stage could be a hotlap and the times could all be added up, the lowest overall would win.

On second thought, maybe Kent should keep the car selection simple. I’d only suggest using lower grade tires for ‘non-record breaking’ cars. I mean, I’m going through the first section of TM2 in this SVT at warp speed! Car behavior would be more true to life if I had to reduce speed in certain sections of track for these 'normal' type rides :dopey:

I suspect in the next few weeks to come there will be some other creative selections :sly: . . . and when GT4 reaches us all. . OMG!

When GT4 reaches all, Hugo Boss will still kick our asses :dopey:

Warp SPEED Mr. Spock. Making cars do what no car should do!!

I kinda like that idea touge... except with lower grade tires... :fD

i like the idea of having more than one car to choose, and id like a p/w a bit lower (2.5 - 2.0) i find these races are very fun to compete in. Kent very very nice race this week 👍

Id also like to keep the track nice, tracks like SSR11 and Cote are very frustrating tracks for Clean laps, deep forest midfield and trial mountain however arnt so hard to keep a clean lap.

It'd be interesting to do a similar race with either a lower budget or a lower pwr, so that we'd have to choose between tuning for power and tuning for handling (most of the cars this week, week 99, were more or less fully tuned handling-wise, and all met the min pwr ratio)

Indeed... and those big muscle cars lose their weakness when T8's and full suspension are used... they can do that whole thing they normally can't... turn :dopey:

T2 tires this time.. how does that sound? Should make those big heavy cars have a bit more fun as well :D

Well, here is my humble suggestion:

Power requirements: 1000HP or above
No ASM
No TCS
and... Simulation Tires :D
Everything else allowed - setting, tuning, no credit requirements

lol! Now that would be interesting...

How about a patience run? Take a bone-stock Suzuki Alto (or any other severely underpowered car like Mira, Vitz Euro, Demio) with no modifications allowed, and make a 5-lap race on Complex String, or Grand Valley Speedway? It should be interesting too!

Don't think that's going to work. We only have one week for a WRS race...

For next week we should run the motorsport elise...except in the dirt. Or for the next race you should do what you did this week except in the dirt and add both times (I know there are possibly alot of flaws in that but i'm sure there's a way around them).

DIRT RACING!!

Come on, ya know wa want to. I do :D

JGTC.. hmm.. interesting... I would have to actually get some of the cars unless its with Arcade ones... -.-

I think there was a JGTC race not too long ago, but then again, one can never have too many JGTC races!

And I'd like to see a shorter track for week 101 after CSII! Midfield would be very nice.
