I've got a few suggestions for upcoming races. Since I got my DFP, I've been trying out lots of different cars just to get a feel for the wheel. Also, since I'm totally fed-up with Week 16, I've been trying to stay sane by driving the tracks I know with the cars that I know - just so I can remember that I am fast
Anyway here are some ideas:
Some overly powerful race car on Tsukuba Wet. Something like the Lister Storm V12, Mercedes Benz CLK-GTR (which is easy for everyone to get), BMW V12 LMR, the Nissan R92CP, the Audi R8, etc etc. I don't know why but I love trying to control 1000hp on wet roads.
Lotus Motor Sport Elise at any track (Laguna Seca, Motegi Long and Monaco were lots of fun, but I imagine any city track would be entertaining as well.) BTW I ran this car in Sim Mode with full tune. close to 400hp and around 600kg weight. WOW! It drives like an oversized shifter kart!
Caterham Super Seven Fireblade at Sears Point Sports Car - Yes another lightweight British car. The track's elevation changes make this a big challenge because the car wants to take off like a plane over each hill.
Mazda 787B or Toyota GT-One on any track - just because I love the sound of those engines pumping through my system. If I had to choose a track for these cars, I'd choose the 'Ring.
I LOVE the idea of the C5-R vs. the Viper GTS-R. That would be an EPIC week.
Although I missed it (D'OH!) I know we've done the Evo - but it would be nice to get an Evo vs. STi battle going at a track like Tsukuba - as long as the performance of each car can be made equal (Say, about 350hp each and around 1300 kg). I'll take the Evo, in silver please
MR8 will take his in White (I'm guessing). I'm sure we could stir up a nice Evo vs. STi debate too
You could even alter the above race to include the Evo and STi rally cars - two of the best handling cars in the game.
Opel Astra touring car at Apricot Hill - the car turns on a dime, and that would be great for this track with those switchbacks and the final chicane.
Feedback anyone? Kent? CFM?
