Super Bowl Predictions '06

Okay guys,

Post your Super Bowl predictions here, as well as why... Limit the number of teams to about 4 max okay...

1. Oakland Raiders: Again, made some great off season moves, added Lamont Jordan and Randy Moss. Great support crew here as well... look for them to make something of this season.

2. Indy Colts: Never count out a QB who can score like Manning.

More to come...

Well, I hate to say it, but.....
New England - Who is going to stop them? Sure, they lost Ty Law, Bruschi is sitting the season out, and they lost Troy Brown, but I think they'll be another top contender this year. Bill Belichick is still a mastermind at coach, he always seems to find ways to win games, even without star players.
Baltimore - Yes. The addition of Derrick Mason, along with 2nd year WR Clarence Moore, should finally give the Ravens a bit more of a passing threat. If Todd Heap can stay healthy, all three of those guys should take some pressure off of Jamal Lewis, so look for him to have another big season rushing the ball. We all know their defense will be top 5 in the league, so if the offense can provide some support, I say this team is a legitimate Super Bowl threat.

More to come indeed.

Manning will never defeat New England in the playoffs as long as Bill Belichick is there.
Agreed. I think Peyton Manning will turn out to be the next Dan Marino...incredible passing numbers but no Super Bowl to show for it.

Well I gotta root for the home team...the Detroit Lions. But if they win, hell will freeze over while pigs will take the place of birds.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will take it all. They have virtually the same team as they did in their amazing 15-1 run last season, and now that Roethlisberger has some more experience under his belt, I expect him to play much better.

The Steelers secondary looks like it's going to be awesome this year. They've got Troy Polamalu, two amazing young corners (Ike Taylor, Ricardo Cocleigh) with the veteran Deshea Townsend, and their second round pick Bryant Mcfadden. Combined with their defensive line and linebackers, the steel curtain will be brought down again.

Plaxico Burress left for the NY Giants, which shouldn't be a big loss as long as Antwaan Randle El can step up to the plate like he did last year. Hines Ward should be dependable as always, and will continue to shatter Steelers receiving records.
