Yeah, but we all know how credible you've become...

Anyway, can you guys believe it? My lame uncle is making lasagna...LASAGNA... for the Super Bowl. I was like, "FOOL! Chicken wings. NOW!"
Who the hell eats lasagna for a superbowl? I hope things will change by the time I get over there. Anyway, cheers to all who're celebrating today.

This should be a good game.

I'm making Taugeh and Crab Rangoons. I also made some chip dip. So, a sandwich with chips and dip for lunch, and the Taugeh and Crab Rangoons for dinner.

I want Seattle to win. I've had enough bull**** from the Steelers, and their stupid fans, to last me a lifetime. Plus, I like Paul Allen. He's a big music and guitar fan, and there's no owner like him in the NFL. To include, I think they're the better team despite my feelings.

I will enjoy the game.

Man, that was such a BS call. Roethlisberger was stopped before the ball crossed the line. The refs are friggin' stupid. They let the hawks' first touchdown go too.

edit: I wound up going to my uncle's house, and he did have chicken wings. They were kind of nasty, though.

I actually ditched the place because I couldn't take my uncle's stupid wife and her stupider sister, plus all the dog dander and lack of seats. So, now I'm home and feeling pretty comfortable. It was a BEAUTIFUL day in South Florida, and a great night too. Too bad the superbowl wasn't here this year.

What game are those officials watching?

The Seahawks' TD was good, the Steelers' wasn't and just now on the 2nd, the Seahawks' receiver had both feet in play on the 1 yard line with the ball under his control, but was ruled out of bounds.

Was thinking the exact same thing...

Hands up those with money on Steelers !...

Seriously...

The last play before the half was called correctly, though. His foot hit the pylon from the outside.

I can't believe the other two, though. The NFL needs to do something. The Steelers have gotten so lucky with the officials during the entire postseason.

This halftime show is also quite boring. Mick Jagger sounds like he's doing karaoke... I can barely hear him.

I thought Bill Wyman was having a heart attack the way he bend over... :irked:

Hahaha. Yeah.

God damn media spectacle. I wish the NFL would just be about the game instead of all these pathetic attempts at entertainment.

I love how America is so satisfied with mediocrity. I say, next year, they just fill the entire field up with the boston pops, the cleveland orchestra, and the atlanta symphony. They could have a score-off.

edit: Hahaha! I love how they came out with the whole "DON MISCHER PRODUCTIONS" and etc at the end, furthering my point about media takeover.

And some strippers !... Show the world that the U.S. CAN handle a naked tit in public !....

And all we need now is ONE friggin' TD !....

Nice interception and Go Seahawks !...

You know, the Seahawks would be so far ahead right now if they didn't drop half the passes they have so far.

And I always thought the officials were banned from gambling on a football game, because it's obvious they have a few bills on a Steeler's victory.

EDIT: Holding? WHAT? I never saw a hold? WTF! Worst officiating I've ever seen in a Superbowl. And it causes an interception, great. And what? Leg blocking? WHAT? That was a TACKLE (legal move in a tackle), not a block, you idiots!!! WORST OFFICIATING, ever!

Man, WTF. Something ALWAYS has to happen. This game is fixed.

Holy ****, yet another bad call! Seriously, what the hell is going on!? That wasn't a fumble! Number 50 got a big'o paw on that boy, and then he went down! That's not a fumble, you jackasses!!!

Man, I hate it when a team isn't given a fair chance to play, let alone, win a game.

Again, WORST OFFICIATING EVER!

OH GOOD! They reversed the decision. Well, duh! :dunce:

Morons!

Oh well. This sucks incredibly. I feel like I wasted 4 hours of my life. I'd be extremely happy, however, if the game wasn't such a BS-fest.

Props to Hines Ward for the MVP spot. I don't think he deserved it, though. Goes to show you how little any of the players stood out. If anything, they should've given the Escalade to the officials. Hell, there's enough room for them all.

At least we won't have to see Bettis's big fat ass all over anymore.

And, at least, I was right about something:

Pittsburgh Steelers - The Steelers will steamroll the Pats. I believe they will win the superbowl this year

Awesome game from the java interface, is when the white line is down the Steelers end then it becomes a yellow defensive line in the same half called a interception or turnover? CAHM?

He most certainly did NOT have both feet on the ground in bounds AT ANY TIME after catching the ball. He had one foot in, and the other landed out of bounds. It was a fair and just call.

The Steelers' touchdown was invalid, though. And everyone could see it as well. What you have to understand is that this type of call is often never changed because it's left to the ref who originally made the judgment, and since his blind ass called a touchdown, c'est la vie.

It would kind of make the Steelers' victory a little less sweet, if it weren't for the fact that they blew the Seahawks out of the water for the rest of the game.

Yeah right. You forget to take into account morale and everything. If the Seahawks would've gotten that touchdown, it could've been a different game.

If every wrongly-charged penalty for the seahawks would've been overturned, the score would be in their favor regardless.

The way I see it, there were only two really "bad" calls in the game, and they were the Seahawks' touchdown being ruled Offensive Pass Interference, and the Steelers' non-touchdown being ruled a valid touchdown. Take 7 away from the Steelers and add it to the Seahawks, and it's still Pittsburgh's game.

But then again, if the Seahawks had more points they may have played differently and so on and so forth. The game is all over now, and no doubt that Steelers touchdown will be front page news tomorrow (unless God forbid there's a murder or something even worse in your respective neighbourhoods to eclipse it...)

WOOOOOOO!!!

I can't wait until the victory parade down town this week. Pittsburgh is nuts right now!

Despite not having their best game on offense, The Steelers pulled it off, Randle El and Willie Parker had spectacular games, along with the always great Hines Ward.

You guys can if all you want, but both teams made mistakes, the Seahawk's just cost them more. And since when is pushing off the DB not offensive pass interference? Receivers have it too easy in the NFL anyway these days.

I've been waiting my entire life for this. :)

Only downside is that I got my car stuck on a sheet of ice hill for over an hour. I guess the guys driving the salt trucks thoguht they had the night off, morons. A minor setback though, we're the city of champions once again!\

The entire post season? The only lucky call they had was the Roethlisberger TD, which was very close, I thought the ball crossed the line. I seem to remember them getting screwed by the refs vs. Indy, don't you? The Polamalu interception that was ruled incomplete. Oh well, as I said, nothing can tarnish the victory for me.

That's not the point. You have to agree that the post-season calling absolutely sucks. There's no excuse for the amount of error that came out of the referee's judgement this season.

You'll have to excuse me, I'm just a little pissed that everybody is trying to strip the Steelers of their credibility. They would have won bad calls or not, Seattle played an awful game and shot themselves in the feet one too many times.

Their Tight End couldn't hold onto a pass if his life depended on it.

I do agree that NFL officials blow though.

Just think... last season, I was hating on the sports media for not giving Ben Roethlisberger any credit for going unbeaten in the regular season and winning a playoff game. This season, what I wanted for Ben Roethlisberger came true- win a Super Bowl. I'm telling you. With all due respect to Tom Brady, he's had his run. Now Roethlisberger went from Miami University in Ohio playing the MAC... all the way for playing for the storied Pittsburgh Steelers. Two seasons later and two postseason appearances later, Pittsburgh's on top of the world. On top of that, Jerome Bettis retired in his hometown of Detroit after winning a championship. I think Hines Ward got the MVP deal.

I wanted to see Steelers vs. Seahawks for the Lombardi Trophy, and I got that matchup. I slightly favored Pittsburgh over Seattle. Both teams can play football. This was a great win for Ben Roethlisberger, Bill Cowher, Hines Ward, Troy Palomalu (or however you spell his name), Jerome Bettis, Mr. Randel El, and all them. Congratulations on title #5. The best play of the game was probably that "gadget play" where there were a few runs, then a long WR pass to take it to the house. It was a nice game. But my MVP... those Bud Light commercials! In terms of the game, I'd actually split MVP with Ben Roethlisberger and Jerome Bettis.

Are you kidding me? I like Roethlisberger as much as you do, and I think he's a great QB...but he didn't have a very good game, his QB rating was 20 something.

Hines Ward deserved his MVP. I could have also seen Randle El or Ike Taylor (his interception gave the Steelers a lot of momentum when they were looking bad) getting the award, but Hines winning it is fine with me. It couldn't happen to a better guy.

Pittsburgh 21 - 7 = 14
Seattle 10 + 7 = 17

And I think we may be talking about different plays - the one I saw had Alexander (I believe) at the one yard line collecting the pass while some part of both feet were in contact with the ground (so ball was in contact with hand and feet were in contact with the pitch at the same time), his next step taking him out of bounds.

The TD that won it in the end really was a Superbowl-winning TD though - classy move.
