probably not coming in the next update then - sometime around the season start in April still a possibility
The last one arrived in March 2019, between the second pre-season test (March 26/27) and the first race at Suzuka (April 21).

If the SF23 is coming, I'd expect it to be at a similar point, so late March (23/30) ahead of R1/2 at Fuji on April 7-8.

The first time we heard about the SF19 coming to GTS, was when a magazine was distributed at a Super Formula race.

Super Formula is not a very interesting racing vehicle, it would be better for PD to think about the latest GT500 cars from Super GT. We skipped silhouette prototypes like the Lexus LC500 which dominated the series more than anyone else, now we skip the front-engined NSX, Nissan Z, Supra which are significantly different from the 2016 cars in terms of aerodynamics and engine. It's a shame that the current fastest closed-wheel cars in the world aren't in GT7, given the Super GT and Gran Turismo connection.

We don't know if they'll skip current gen Super GT500.

As for Super Formula, we never got the past Formula Nippon cars, that would have fit in with previous GT games. I mean, we had semi-replica Formula One cars and actual Formula One cars. GT Sport gave us an actual new series in the SF19 cars and looks like it'll continue with SF23. There's still time that we might get current GT500 models.

Super GT cars are a staple of the Gran Turismo series. I’ve no doubt the likes of the new Supra and Z GT500’s will arrive. There’s a less compelling case for the NSX, but it makes sense to make all three.

But GT7 also desperately lacks single-seaters & one-make cars. For a series with such a strong online component, such cars are great for close, competitive racing. Not to mention great for livery creators.
