Thats a very hard hit. I'm glad that he's ok. That's why the Radio Le Mans guys were taking about the Bergmiester family during. Spa. :dunce:

Round 3 was on last week, with the International Series race at Sepang.

2010 Champion Weider HSV-010 was the winner of the race, with a 3 second win over Round 1 winner Zent Cerumo SC430. The Raybrig HSV-010 which managed a pair of 2nd places in the first two rounds only managed 6th this time around. Still, nice to see little Kohei Hirate and Tachikawa making a true challenge, they were the only SC430 to win a race last year but right now they look truly in it as it stands.

GT300 was a 1-2 for Porsche, the Hankook Porsche taking the win ahead of the Endless Taisan 911, which got 2nd in the first round as well. Aston V8 Vantage was 3rd. Hatsune Miku Z4 only managed 12th this time on the track where it got its first win last year, whilst the Gainer R8 LMS got 7th and the Shiden managed a 5th.

The Zent Cerumo SC430 got back the lead in the GT500 standings with the 2nd place, and now leads the Raybrig HSV-010 by 3 points.

The Endless 911 is actually now the leader in GT300, thanks to 2 second places, but it's only 2 points ahead of the Hatsune Miku Z4 (3rd, 1st, 12th) and only 1 point more ahead of the Gainer R8 LMS (winner of Round 1).

Next round at Sugo is a while away yet, on the 29th of July. We'll just see what happens there next...but so far it looks like it's been exciting.

They were 2nd at the start of the very last lap, something happened and they stopped around 4 turns left before the end. I couldn't find the reason why but a shame though...

Yep, that happened. Supposedly something to do with fuel or tires, apparently they never took on any new tires either.

It would be embarrassing if they indeed ran out of fuel - a careless mistake. However, I would suggest also it could be the tyres. They were classified as 12th anyway, hope for a good one in the next race.

CRZ goes hardcore.
Will be race in Sugo.

Beast. Doesn't seem to have the electric-to-gas start I was picturing (might be spoiled by the Toyota TS030 though) *Sees track its testing on* oh the irony.

Motegi is owned by Honda. How is that ironic at all?

I consider it ironic because of the GT5 DLC we got last week. I know what I said makes no sense to someone else, but just my thought. Perhaps it was better left in my head then posted.

My word that Bergmeister crash was horrendous. May he have a speedy and full recovery.

This is just awesome.

Wondering exactly if this is a hybrid, is it flywheel based or something else? Sure didn't hear any indication of it being a hybrid.

I'd post it, but last time the kind do gooders of GTP reminded me of the AUP and links to 'illegal content'.

Well there certainly isn't now because the season is finished.

Oh, and the winner of 2011 GT500 won again for 2012. Zzzzzzz.

And a 911, #911, won GT300. Beat the Aston Vantage and another 911 to the title right at the end. Hoping for an even better 2013. Will continue to secretly support Honda and BMW, as well as the jokey hybrids.

Oh - and Yeongnam is on the calender for 2013. Nice :)

Shame. In my view SuperGT is the hottest racing series right now for GT lovers, last year's races, especially on Fuji, were epic. I truly fell in love with this track, never tought I'd admit it but that's one course not even Tilke managed to ruin.

Shame so much of the world is left out, and I do not look forward to DTM and SuperGT joining forces in the near future.

Ah we'll see :/

I doubt posting streams would count as illegal content. Otherwise US residents like me wouldn't be able to watch races like the Dubai 24 while on this forum.

Yes. I had/have a link to a website that provided live streams to all the races. I expect them to continue with that this year. Also, the Subaru BRZ is on Michelin tires in GT300! They're the only team running these tires, look for them to make a good leap in performance if the development is as good as in GT500! Mind you, the S-Road Mola Nissan GTR 500 that won the drivers title twice in a row now in GT500 is running Michelin as well.

The DTM/SGT linkup seems to be just a regulation thing. Doesn't seem like German teams want to run in Japan because they fear the BOP. They think the GT500 cars will still be too fast.

Check this out! I had no idea they did stuff like this haha, so awesome. "Circuit Safari:"

Here's an awesome video of one of the "tours" with the Drift King himself as the guide:

The sound! I'd so love to take the tour just for that alone.

Japanese really do take those buses anywhere! Here in Vegas they fly in and around through anything, the most seemingly impossible places, just zipping around, and now I see this xD. Can't say I'm too surprised.

I just wish they'd sell those rights to European TV, get some decent moderators and get on with it. Eurosport and Rolf Kalb single handed established Snooker in Germany for instance.

I was a huge DTM fan in the 90s, when you had access all areas for a fiver. It was downhill from then on in my book.

The GT Masters is just a playground for rich gentlemen. Nothing wrong with that as such, but the BOP being adjusted so that everyone once wins in a while us just too bleeding obvious. There's just the VLN left in Germany for me. Thanks to Motors TV and Radio LeMans there's a bit good GT racing, but nothing like the SuperGT.

That actually is pretty damn cool! Look's like they take them out for 2 laps, one on each side of the track... Wish they'd do something like that here in the US, it would definitely be a hit!

The 'BOP' I'm talking about is letting the DTM cars have a bit more power to compete with the GT500 machines. Seems they don't think the Japanese will give them an equal shot so it doesn't look like any DTM cars will join in GT500, at least so far. That's pretty much why I think these regulation unity is stupid. If they would combine series and have Japanese makers in DTM and German makers in GT500 it'd be great. But it's not looking likely that's happening. Quite weird.

Is that bus video during a practice session? That's pretty crazy.. 👍

That's nothing. Last season I saw a race, I forget which one, where a car crashed into the barriers so a recovery vehicle was sent out to it.

Nothing wrong with that?

I saw the recovery vehicle come around a corner towards the crash and then the field of GT500's came around the same corner at full race speed and flew passed it.

Updated SC430 for 2013 season

Also, there appears to be 2(!) CR-Z's in GT300 this year, Mugen and ARTA (they've retired the Garaiya).
