Jigglypuff > PIkachu

I'm a Marth and Zelda/Shiek guy. Looking forward to being able to play as Pit in the new one for certain.

Look at high level tournament play. its Marth and Jigglypuff 90% of the time.

I kid you not. Marth is much faster than Roy... and his sword can do more damage if you know what ou are doing.

Jigglypuff is nimble, has relatively powerful attacks, and can fly back from just about anywhere.

Well, of course most people use Jiggly. They're usually gamers leeching off their parents while trying to perfect her "Rest" attack.

Yer, gotta' love that fatal move. 👍

Now of course Marth is faster than his fellow 'Fire Emblem' comrade, Roy, and perhaps Fox/Falco has attacks with the shortest time-span but they are far harder to use than the rest of SSBM's line-up.

Which is exactly why I and many other thousands of people prefer Captain Falcon. 👍

The problem with Falcon is that it takes a long time to do many of his moves. So if I were playing against you as Fox, I could practically disrupt most of your moves and at the same time unleash a few combos on you. But yes, I agree, Fox is harder to master.

Hopefully Brawl will be online so we can test our skills. ;)

Yer, Pikachu is always a crowd-pleaser when you need to seperate a group of characters with one single attack, Link is also good for this.

And online play would be very interesting, especially against you duċk. 👍

I was disappointed when they moved it back to Feb 10th. I was looking forward to buying it before christmas so everyone could play it at the family dinner.

I'm excited about the online play.

i had 3 characters that i always played with

1)Link-my fall back

2)Falcon- cause of his speed, he can get in cause damage then get out

3)Fox- sheer speed. if my brother played as fox i would be pikachu.

this game is fun. My friend got the Japanese version so we can't read anything, but luckily the character names are in english.

Sonic rules!!!

So picked up my copy today. Haven't had a chance to play it with the GCN controller yet, but the nunchuck with wiimote works okay.

Started on the adventure mode, and it seems fairly well done. More so than the last adventure mode at least. Gameplay is very much like Melee, and they have smoothed some things out in the controls.

I'll post more once I get the hang of things.

Azuremen, how good would you rate this game? Is it exactly like Super Smash Melee plus a few more characters?

Im still waiting for my copy

Over all, everything feels better. I still haven't had a chance to play with the GCN controller, which will feel far better I am sure, but controls are smooth and responsive. Sounds are much better and visual effects are top notch.

New items also add some interesting gameplay elements, but I rarely play with items on. Stages are also more varied and interesting; I also haven't found one I hate massively - they all seem good.

It is a lot like Melee, just with more of everything. Even the menus work similar, where you use the joystick or d-pad to select, not the point and click that most Wii games do. Though, the adventure/story mode seems quite large (I've put 2 hours in and I'm not 20% through it yet) with plenty of cinematics.

This game is awesome. I've never played Melee though.

Also, Wario is THE GREATEST.

I've played with all three controller modes. I recommend remote+knunchuck or gamecube controller, I didn't really like the sideways remote. I didnt really like the mario circuit, we got KO by the karts more than each other. Other than that I don't think there will be anything else I won't like.

I've got about two hours on adventure mode also. Adventure mode is really fun with two players.
