Brawl is noob friendly? That's not the biggest gripe, it's online that's the bigger gripe. I can't stand input latency, and because of this, I don't get around to playing more people, and thus dropping the game altogether. I did spend many hours customizing the game with all those cheats, and neat little programs like brawlbox, and map creator, I've made my own textures, and got pretty obsessed with lightsaber glowstrings on the swordwielding characters. I still haven't been able to replicate that one glowing style someone else did where the tip of marth's sword was glowing the most and it would always leave a neat little trail so it looked so awesome.

I recently deleted all of this hard work so that I could free up space on my HDD to edit recordings of Need for Speed.

Hmm yea "Brawl is noob friendly" statement was a pretty ignorant thing to say of me. Sorry. I agree with online. Nintendo needed improvement on that one. Thats right Miyamoto I said it. Also not a fan of the L canceling where you're still be able to do an aerial unlike melee, when you L canceled in the air, the uair, dair, sair, are not an option :)

I've always wondered, are those customizing only available for softmodded wiis?

Errm no, as long as you hacked your wii via twilight hack or bannerbomb or whatever is current now, you can get the homebrew channel and then you'll need a code/cheat applying app that you can use on the game...IIRC, when modifying existing files on the game such as textures and character movements, you're editing actual files in the game. Some one had ripped the entire disc of the game and uploaded that free for people to use, and once you modify the file, you would place it in a certain folder directory on your SD, and use the "File Replacement" code when you run it through the cheat manager app on your wii. It's pretty amazing how that was all done imo..

Btw, to any mods or admins reading this, I'm not discussing illegal activities, Homebrew is not illegal, It was an exploit done many years ago.

Homebrew was very interesting though. Snake was reskinned to be Guile from Street Fighter. Probably I have a couple of problems with Brawl. But my most is, why is there tripping?

Oh sweet I'll probably try that out. I already got homebrew on my wii. currently on 4.2U

Not sure. I've heard Miyamoto delayed brawl for NTSC and PAL version just to add the tripping.

BTW anyone wants to brawl, just for the fun of course.

I think tripping was one of the first things yanked out of the game when hackers got control of it.

Anyways, my problem isn't that Brawl is n00b friendly. To be frank, it still really isn't. My problem is that Nintendo basically intentionally ruined the engine for any sort of competitive play (and I'm not talking Stop Having Fun Guy style. I'm talking simple playing the game based on skill) and then acted like they made it more balanced and n00b friendly.
