I'll probably run some practice laps later tonight to setup my mid pack car with everyone else who isn't using an Integra.

So it's my first year and I'm allowed to use a Honda... I can't join the fun later? :ouch:

I wish it was the full course too. The last turn is so hard to get with out spinning and with 12 of us on the short track, its going to be mayhem and laggy

Mayhem is my evil goal muahahahahaha. It's all in fun though.

Ha! Mid pack is gonna be were all the fun is at. (I'll probably be by myself in the uh rear pack?)

Got the win too! 400pp on comfort softs. Best car for that PP range is the new Toyota 86GT.

Congrats! Man did you get real fast real quick!

Maybe someone would be kind enough to lift the restriction on the Integra. Just want an opportunity to be competetive. No other car can get within 2 seconds per lap. The race seems somewhat rigged now.

Does anybody else fill that way? My intentions are not to "rig" the race in anyway. I was aiming for a race with variety that wouldn't be a in essence a one make Honda race, but if it is bothering the group we can change the regulations.

How about banning Honda outright?

I wouldn't go so far as to ban the honda. Every race is gonna have a car that dominates in some way. Just like the suzuka race is probably gonna be a field of lotus ellises. Its just unavoidable.

I think all but the 4WD race is going to be a 1 or 2 make race. I wouldn't ban the integra. But it's the car hands down. Suzuka is going to be 12 Lotus' on that god awfull track. You want variety there open it up to the full. Haven't tried SSR5 yet but I'm sure there is going to be 1 or 2 dominate cars

Why not ban the Integra, if that will give us a field with lots of variety ?

That a not really fair to the ones that didn't use a Honda last time and have been setting up that car for the race. It is what it is now its too late to change. But like I said before all these races are going to end up one make.

This one of the reason I feel the PP system is broken. It gives certain cars better performance than others. Take muscle cars for example; at 550 PP the car to race is the 69 Camaro. HP/Weight closes the gaps and introduces more options. Look at the variety we had at the High Speed Ring race.

I too believe banning Honda now would be unfair to those who have put in the prep time. It should be a fun race as Madrid is full of areas where mistakes and accidents can occur causing a mixup of the field.

I'm more looking forward to Suzuka, but wish it was the full course. Love that track.

I too would rather use the full course and Ill tell you why, it gives cars other than the lotus Elise a chance, If i drive a nsx for example i need more course that isnt tight corner to catch up and pass the Lotus, if we use east course it will be in the Elise or you will be left behind. Not to mention we wont actally fit well on that track.I will certainly be there and have fun either way thats for sure!

I haven't tried driving the DC5 Integra to compare lap times yet. Don't want to get depressed! Wish we could use a different Honda than what we used in the earlier race. (Badly hidden motive!)

Worst part for me is I used the premium Civic and that opts me out of the Integra???? Oh well looks like there will be a bunch of us mid pack. Unless I get really frustrated. Then I'm just going to wreck DJ the whole race :)

I say we treat the car selection and track selection as an added twist of fantasy. As all real life drivers have car and course combinations that are not exactly suited to their style. Roll with it. Key word roll (hint hint).

Wow, good morning!

I really appreciate all the feedback concerning the events. Remember, this league was founded with the mentality of racing whatever you guys wanted to race and we voted on different races every week. The departure from that format was due to my busy home/work schedule. That being said I have no qualms adjusting regulations if I have to.

An easy fix for the upcoming FF race is to prohibit you guys from using the SAME car as you did in the last FF race.

Or we can lift the ban on Honda completely.

Or we can just outright ban Honda.

Vote on it in this thread. When I get out of work tonight I'll tally up the votes and adjust accordingly.

As for the short Suzuka the thinking behind using the short track was to have a Nascar-like short track atmosphere where each driver was not only racing but avoiding collisions with slower drivers. It would involve the slower drivers by keeping them engaged (as they are being lapped LOL) and help out those with busy schedules, such as myself, by not having to memorize as many turns, braking points, ETC. I also figured the long straight would even the field against the smaller lighter cars.

I can be wrong on any of that.

So please vote on this thread here if you would like to keep it at the short version of Suzuka or the original, long, version of it.

I will tally up the votes when I get out of work tonight and adjust regulations accordingly.

Thanks and I really do love the feedback. Beats a dead thread anytime!

EDIT:
I forgot to mention that this weeks race will be held on Friday.

1. Honda open to all. We've got several guys who weren't in STC at the first race.
2. Suzuka full course

Madrid: Keep regs as they are because Mike won't give me my Integra Monster back.
Suzuka: Keep the short track so I don't have to hear someone bitch how lonely they are all alone in the back. At least they will see people go by them every now and then.

Side note: There are 3 cars other than a Honda that pop off 1:34's at Madrid.

cB is in the low to mid 33's

Madrid: Keep as is or open up the field

Suzuka: Full course

No civics hold up to the teg? I would imagine the eg hatchbacks hold their own against integras.

33's will last only so long. If you keep pushing for 33's say hello to wall sooner or later. My bet is on cB however. He is good at Madrid.

Its not an integra block. Its a full on Honda block. I'll assume you mean lift the Honda block.

Wow. Thought it was just the model not the entire manufacturers stable.
