Man, that was one ugly start. Otherwise, I had fun and no lag issues. Nice driving, Brett!

Yeah, I pulled right to give cB his spot. I didn't pass him before the line but I think he got backed up so it wouldn't have been cool to pass him like that. I couldn't really tell. I just watch the guy in front of me.

Lol i'm just hoping you didn't smash your new wheel

I wasn't sure what happened on that start either, it looked like some thought it was going to be a grid start maybe? Best finish for me, only went off track once at the last turn on lap 31, nerve racking, some how it didn't spin.

i dont know what happen at the start it seemed like everyone went then slammed on the brakes almost hit mike i blame it on f1 tracks the starting line at one end of the straightaway the finish line in a complete different spot dont know why they do that

Yea we all got backed up. I almost rear ended NCR. glad that race is over. Not looking forward to the next. That's going to be a fiasco.

I wasn't sure what was happening at the start. Our pole leader didn't accelerate as expected and that threw me off. Thought I may have missed something about how to start the race. I ended up letting Dangit go ahead but then he went off in turn 1. That turn was my undoing as well in lap 25. Took it about an inch too wide. Grrrr. Congrats RoadRash and Mike.

I didn't go at the line because I thought we always wait for the entire field to make it onto the straight before punching it. Sorry if this screwed anyone up. It was definitely another example of "hot laps" mean nothing for me. My car just would not turn going into turn 1 and then I waited for the safest spot to make it back on the track. After that I was driving the crap out of my car to try to make up ground.

I could tell you were waiting for the field to get on the straight. Although the start was sketchy it is still fun to do a rolling start, the anticipation adds excitement. Also, great job getting back on track. That was a bad off, but a great recovery. And courteous to boot. Very respectful. No disrespect intended.

Yeah Godangit, I didn't even think about everyone getting unto the straight. I was only concentrating on the S/F line and your car. Figured you held up for some reason that's why I let off, hope I didn't block your view of turn 1.

I wish I could say it was all your fault, but I drive from the hood cam so I had a perfect view of the turn. Unfortunately it was a perfect view of one of those times when for some odd reason the car/game decides that it wasn't going to let me turn in at all.

If you want to see how ugly that start really was, you have to view the replay from the back. I was calling for a restart, but it was almost as if no one heard me.:dunce: Altho, I couldn't help, but laugh, when DJ honked his horn, while motoring past me into the mayhem.:)

I thought we were going to restart also because of the slow up in the front but then realized it was game on so that was it. I didn't hear you call restart. I think because you were not speaking in your normal, witty comedy style the microphone couldn't recognize your voice and a malfunction occurred.

If this happens again someone should just type restart and run one more parade lap. I had no idea of the mess all the way back.

It wasn't your fault for the pile up. I saw NCR speed up and I went which caused a chain reaction. You were in the right by waiting for everyone to get on the straight before starting. Also as cB mentioned the finish line isn't the same as the start line on that track. I had forgotten about that as well.

NCR, we had a good run going, I guess me riding around in the trunk of your car didn't help your concentration. Sorry about that.

That's racing, stuff happens. No way I would have been mid pack if not for that crazy start!

Eh, no worries RR. I was into a groove and getting a little bored so I (stupidly) started adjusting my line hoping to get a little gap going. You probably saw some odd lines I started taking. Anyway that wasn't a good line to take through that turn evidently!

At the start I just instinctively gunned it then when Dangit didn't go, I felt like I didn't get the memo.

Hopefully PD will fix their **** in the next update so we can have mics on while racing so someone can call out for a restart if need be.

Meh...mics. I'm a fan of micless races. Less distraction although communication is definitely a benefit.

Maybe they can just put us in order on the track.

Agreed, I sure don't miss mics. They are fun in practice but nothing but a distraction in a race.

They are only a distraction when non race conversations are heard.

I agree, also. While it would have been nice at the start, my powers of concentration aren't the greatest and any distraction can send my car in to previously undiscovered parts of a track. In this race, I hit not one wall and kept my car on track. Coincidence? My past race stats would suggest otherwise.

I also have an event planned for the "off week" between DJ's and JT's series. It will be posted after this weeks race.

Sounds like this again courtesy of mike46an2 or 46and2 depending:

"Sometimes I wish I could explain to people from work that I have a important race tonight and that I need to leave early, but they would ask where and I would have to say at home and they would with who and I would say RoadRash, Boshuter and a lot of people whos names are letters...I better just make something up lol".
