I would have went 2000.

Even though there isn't going to be much variety in cars for this first race, I think the racing is going to be very close. The practices we have had show that a majority are right around the same hot lap time. Most within .500. And the fastest so far being Envy( yes I just put the bullseye on you!). The biggest thing will be staying on track and dealing with the weird draft areas especially going into the corkscrew and the last turn.

Are we required to use "Rally" cars or can we use any 4WD race car?

My opinion is we should stick with the spirit of the title "Rally Challenge" and stick with rally race cars.

Cars must be rally cars. In still debating the rm impreza and evo. I want the cars to have matching specs and the wrc cars fit the bill. I'll post a list a soon as I get my internet working

I'm gonna give the Ford GT a shot but if all else fails I'll stick to something 4WD just to keep me on the track and not spinning about ruining the race for the fast guys.

Ah! You're borrowing the " Logan Strategy". I hope it works a lot better for you. I think it will. I have a hard time with the "stay on the track" part.

Well looks like we are going to have a nice bunch mid pack. My times have gone south too, and depending on how late at night it is so has my driving ability

This doesn't sound good. I haven't been on since Sunday, but I can't imagine that everyone's times dropped off because people forgot how to drive. Sounds like they messed something up with the maintenance.

Luckily I'm not smart enough to understand head games... ~ I won't be on until Thursday but I plan on running as fast as possible at all times. I love this track and have fun sliding the GT through the corners.

Honestly I have no idea what happened. After Friday night my times went from average low 28's with hot laps in the mid 27's to if I'm lucky a high 28. I have logged probably 300/400 laps here. Boredom? Spoiled from race tires and grip? I did throw my set up out for a more stable one to keep from spinning. Who knows.

I wish it was that. I am beyond frustrated after averaging mid 1:27s a week ago and now I can't even break into the 1:28s.
