If there is a time that works better for everyone let me know. I'm very flexible during the week but my weekends are usually all tied up.

I would just need say about 15 minutes after 5pm to make it. Like the first race i missed it by 5 minutes.

I can definitely do that. I'm thinking about screwing some of my bills for now and just buying a new PS3 right away. Unless anybody on here is a well to do millionaire and wants to donate one??? No? Didn't think so!
 
I'M BACK!!!

I bit the bullet and bought a brand new PS3! (I may starve for the rest of the month but oh well)

So race is on tomorrow and I will be hosting! The race will start a little bit later to accommodate some racers. Can't wait to race with you guys.

Awesome, as soon as my new PS3 finishes downloading 8 gigs of GT5 I will accept it LOL. Seriously though, it has been stuck on 14 mins left since 9:15 PM PT (its 9:25 PM right now)

Great racing guys! I had a blast (even though I was demolished). Tough break gray fox. I'm working on the race results and will have them posted by tomorrow hopefully.

Okay so we had a good amount of time to vote and it seems like Exotic Supercars it is! I did forget to mention to vote on the track though so if you don't mind go ahead and add what track you want to race on.

Voting for the track will end tonight at 7:00PM PT (10:00PM ET). Hopefully that will give you guys enough time to set up your car.

The first post on this thread is updated with the current info. Maybe its a little hard to find. I will shrink the size of the "flavor" text to make the event regulations a little easier to find.

And I'm excited that you're gonna race tomorrow but try not to make me look so bad LOL
 
Got it, thanks! What cars are people going with? I used a Gallardo for another race on Monday and may use the same car out of laziness.

I'm not sure, you know how racers like to sand bag LOL. I plan on using a Saleen S7. I know it's a tail happy beast but its my favorite car in the world so I gotta represent LOL. Buuut if it proves to be to beastly then i may use my Scuderia. (see there i go sand bagging!)
 
Not sure if the Gallardo can keep up with the Saleen. Not sure if I even have a Saleen. Will have to check tonight.

By the way, I think I had a hard time seeing the specs from the GTPlanet App. I see if just find on the regular internet.

That's odd. It comes up fine on my app. Weird. Anyway I'm hoping the Saleen is fast enough. I'm not boosting it to the full 650 HP allowed. I'm hoping it will be easier to control that way.
 
I ran a few short laps last night at Monza with and without the driving line. I am about 4 to 5 seconds faster with the driving line, because it is hard to tell where to brake for the 3 chicanes. I am going to go without the driving line tonight, as I find it more enjoyable, albeit slower.

From the few laps I ran, I think tire wear will be important. My front tires were going after 2 laps only.

Monza is a low/no downforce track, at least in F1. I won't have time to try it tonight, but I wonder if having no downforce will be faster.

So how fast were you going? I was running around 1:48 online with the occasional 1:47. What were you driving also? I am usually lost without the driving line but anybody that runs without it is a very good driver in my opinion.

Also I wanted to let everybody know that cutting that 2nd chicane is very much frowned upon. The first one its hard to not to cut it (seeing as how tight it is) but the second one is very easy to cut and in the spirit of sportsmanship should not be cut.
 
DJ, I am using the Gallardo. My time was wildly inconsistent b/c of the driving line on/off. It ranges from 45 to 49. I cannot see myself running 2 laps in a row at 45, as I am too mistake prone.

Could you clarify the 2nd chicane cutting? I ran last night with penalties on, and ran next to the barriers at the exit of the 2nd chicane. I take it that counts as cutting? Since the game does not give penalties for that, I think it would be tough to monitor it.

I got a few penalties from the 3rd chicane when I went in too fast. Ha.

Yeah if you're running over the speed bumps you're cutting it lol. If you use the driving line you will see the "correct" line to take. For some reason cutting it doesn't give you a penalty but it is a shortcut. Your right that it would be tough to moniter but I'm hoping its not an issue.
 
Got it, sounds good.

1st chicane: ok to cut
2nd chicane: no cutting
3rd chicange: no cutting

I definitely need to figure out when to brake for the 2nd chicane now.
 
Hahaha yeah braking is sooner than u think now lol. Don't sweat it to much though, the main thing is to have fun
