Dirt rallys rallycross is absolutely superb with a wheel pedals and race seat..brilliant..
Gotta wonder if Codemasters will address this at all, with a patch or something. While some say it isn't an issue I've read that a good amount of people are just plain upset with the Sim mode of Dirt 4. I dropped it down to Gamer mode to complete career but it's not very satisfying and Sim mode has become too frustrating to play.I'm sort of stuck in the middle. Gamer handling is boring, but I reached my limit with the cars swapping ends unprovoked in Simulation mode.
This used to happen in early Codemasters games like TOCA 2--normal difficulty was way too easy, but the next step up was impossible.

Dirt 4 Road BookWe also have been making progress on Clubs but this is still some way off being ready to release.
Dirt 4 Road BookThe racing itself was spectacular but Andy and I were actually there to have some very important meetings with our current (and hopefully future partners) in the World RX paddock. Suffice to say that those discussions went very well and hopefully we will be in a position to talk more about their outcomes in the not so distant future.

Your co-driver will say different things at the end of each stage, and it's not always complimentary. I binned it in Sweden the other day and finished a stage in twenty-fifth place. Nicky was pretty critical of me at the end.Like when I finished a stage in the beginnng event the co-driver says 'nice job!' as if I never drove a Rally car on dirt before.

I agree. I find the cars to be practically undriveable. We must have played very different games.
Shame guys i think its superb @SlimCharles @prisonermonkeys Are you playing with a wheel and pedals or a pad, also i dont change any settings either, just how it came...ace..T150 wheel and pedals and race seat..
A pad. I can't afford a wheel. And I don't play enough racing games to justify the cost. Are you playing with a wheel and pedals or a pad
It's actually a pretty handy car.Someone at Codemasters' must really like Peugeot 205.
So do I. What's in the game is a lot of fun (except Australia; I hate the open-air sections with the fences along the side of the road), but it just makes me see the potential in it.I so want more rally locales , at least like 2 more
Thank you. The fact is clear by now, but it is a big fault. Can not be serious.@TamasToth
Multiplayer eats up the contract. It's kinda dumb , best advice is to make sure your crew has a full 6 events available before each multiplayer foray
There's an easy way around it - don't use your own cars.Thank you. The fact is clear by now, but it is a big fault. Can not be serious.
That seems to be a solution, thanks! There's an easy way around it - don't use your own cars.
This also applies to Freeplay mode, custom events will advance your contracts as well. Though personally I do like that team progression isn't strictly locked to career mode, because having to constantly grind the limited selection of events there to make any headway would suck all the fun out of the game pretty fast. There's an easy way around it - don't use your own cars.

I'm sure that with enough practice, I'll get used to the cars like I did with Land Rush. But unlike Rally and Historic Rally, there's not much variety and now that I've won World Rallycross - I tweaked the difficulty settings to make it manageable - there's not much of a reason to go back to it.
I should introduce you to Famine at some point.I see you have nearly 33,000 posts in here, never saw anyone having more than that
I am. But my collection of games extends beyond racing games - in fact, racing games only make up about one in ten games that I have played. My most-played games are Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Final Fantasy XV, Fallout 4 and Far Cry 4.so it seems to me that you are pretty active in here and pretty involved/dedicated to racing
I enjoy Dirt 4 a lot. I'm no fan of Land Rush or Rallycross, but I thoroughly enjoy Rally and Historic Rally, even without a wheel.Wheel is a must in my opinion to play racing games. Full stop, end of story. Nothing else comes close to giving you the full enjoyment.
I have to be economical with the space on my XBox hard drive. I've currently used up about 65% of the space on it and there's a whole host of upcoming releases that I'm looking forward to, and none of them are racing games - Assassin's Creed Origins, Far Cry 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Chances are good that I'll have to uninstall one or two of my current games (both to save space on the hard drive and to get a discount when I trade them in), and Dirt 4 will probably be one of them. You can get a wheel pretty cheap; nearly about 100 to 150$ I think for a FFB wheel.
