Sixaxxis fist shaking. A little over the top, in my opinion. Not to mention, most people that are going to be interested in this game are using a wheel of some kind.

Hopefully they fixed some of the wheel/ffb issues that were present in FC.

;)

While the london leg has already been and gone the LA leg is coming up.

System 3 is proud to be working together with acclaimed Ferrari photographer Peter Hall and his touring Ferrari Exhibition.

Ferrari Challenge and SuperCar Challenge on PlayStation 3 will be present at the exhibition as part of a £1,600 full racing seat set-up so that attendees can get behind the wheel of any number of Ferrari motors such as the FXX and F50 while they enjoy the gallery exhibits.
It gives members of the public a rare chance to get a sneak peek at System 3’s brand new racing game SuperCar Challenge and the 10 fastest racers of the day will win a limited edition 1/16th Bruno Senna model car!

The critically acclaimed exhibition showcases some stunning Ferrari race photography from Peter Hall’s collection and is being held at:
La Galleria
The Royal Opera Arcade
Pall Mall, London
SW1Y 4UY

The exhibition is free for all (general public included) to attend and celebrates its final day today (Thursday 9th April) with free champagne all day and a late opening until 9.30pm. So, if you love your racing, would like to see some amazing Ferrari photography and fancy yourself as a born racer, get yourself down to the London gallery before it moves on to Los Angeles for the next leg of its tour!

"Serious" racers often asked for features such as G25 clutch-support, multi-screen support, tyre and fuel wear, mandatory pit-stops, mechanical damage and such. What are the areas you've improved over FCTP in SCC regarding hard-core public?

i was hoping there will be tyre wear and pit stops. i'm sure it will still be fine without them.i also hope it will support the clutch on the g25.

Oh good. Some more Ferrari's. That, I take it, is to make up for the lack of them in this game! :sly:

On the official website the car stats seem a little wrong. The california is listed as a 750hp V12. Also the 0-60 seem a little strange but I don't know them so they may be well be correct. Also the sounds in the videos seem a little generic, the scuderia and cali don't sound anything like they should and all the other V12s sound quite similar. Also the road cars (enzo and mclaren) seem to have gear box whine and loud clunks on every change???

ok has anyone played this game yet if so tell me if it is any good thank you.
A few of us from GTP are in the beta. GT's are really the only racing games I've played, so I've been happily surprised at some of the things in SCC. Unfortunately, as it's still in beta, I can't discuss those things...

Oh ok today I went to argos and said they were selling it so I wanted to find out if it was anygood.

I would say that this is a valid criticism of FC & likely will be the same for SCC. The modelling of the cars - graphics, sound & physics - just doesn't seem as detailed or individualized as it does in GT5P. This presumably is one of the reasons a small developer like Euyechnyx, has been able to put out two games in a year, where it is taking a large developer like PD five years to put out the next version of GT.

Having said that, the "generic" physics, sound, & particularly the FFB in FC (& I would expect in SCC) are "meatier" than in GT5P, & the different types of cars are actually very different from each other. SCC, like FC, will be a game focussed on racing a small selection of high performance cars, rather than collecting & driving a huge variety of cars.

HI guys, does anybody know what is wrong with the EUTECHNYX Forums web site, i cant access it.

It says this,

Database Error: MySQL server has gone away.

Even if the V12 sounds do seem similar, i can look past it because the sounds they do use are awesome! As long as race model vs road model are individualised.

Has an official release date been announced for SCC? In Amar's first post it's noted June/July latest, but now we're already halfway through July and nothing's been announced?

All i know is this,

USA - October 1 2009
Australia - 3 September 2009

hmmm looks like I'l have to decide between SCC or NFS:SHIFT, If it came out in the next week I'd have gotten both. NFS is ahead at the moment but we'll see how it is when the demo comes out

surely shift will get a demo so I can try it first not sure yet how its gonna play but being a Beta tester for SCC and knowing the game has a great sim pedigree (FC) I would always choose SCC over Shift but thats not needed as I'll get both games (as long shift demo is good)! recommend Superstars V8 too great little sim!

Hang on a second! There's only ten new cars and five new tracks, four of which are variants on tracks from Ferrari Challenge? Maybe its because I've grown up with Gran Turismo but that hardly seems like enough new content to warrant spending £40-45 on. I mean the recent DLC pack had five cars and one track for less than £5!

I'm pretty sure this means I won't be buying this game... Though if I see regular (free, though that seems unlikely!) DLC popping up on the PSN store, like we were promised when FC came out, I might change my mind.

on that basis i'll be giving it a miss too, at least early on. i may well grab it pre-owned, once i see it for < £15

i'm sure it'll drive well, because FC does. i've recently got rFactor for my pc, and the amount of mods/tracks available for it is huge

i wouldn't mind betting that between all those, i could get hold of most (if not all) of the content of SCC

I've got to say that the key question is what will Shift be like? If Shift drives well (which is a big "if") then it seems like a much better bet than SCC, as it will offer significantly different style, tracks & cars, where SCC is largely duplicating & (hopefully) improving on FC.

Ive been anticipating this game for ages already and cant wait to get my hands on it... :) with regards to Shift... I'm just going to get both... and the one that gets played the least will find its way into the 2nd hand bin at my local game store.. 👍 When GT5 comes though... I assume both will be getting a 1 way ticket to the bargain bin, unless they turn out to be incredibly good... :D
