Hi, i was recently entering the Supercar Festival (professional league) with my Corvette z06. I tried the New York race and got spanked by a Saleen, Ford Gt '05, and a Cadillac Cien.... I was a little pissed so i decided to get my own Cien and race it. When i came back to the race with my Cien it said "only production cars may enter this race". So, what makes a Cien not production for me, but production for the computer, and what car would you recommend using?

It's a bug, you can't enter any non-production cars into the cup but you do occasionally race against one.

If i was to re-enter the race would there be a high chance of them returning, or would there be normal cars for me to race against?
It varies, sometimes you race against the Cien sometimes you don't.

Yes you can use the Saleen. Any car you buy thats a road car and has or is tuned to over 500Bhp can be used.

I don't get that, restrictions to NOT being able to drive lower powered cars? Sheesh... if I want to beat a Saleen with a Subaru 360 I want to be able to do it... whether I'll be good enough to be able to do that I dunno, but I want to try.

The competition is called Supercars festival, it's for Supercars only not econo-boxes.

We have like 3 bugs.

1) Jittering screen
2) This crap
3) TCS and AMS go off during Memory Card Battles

GT4 is well........ I don't know what to say, I'm really dissapointed....

It's glitchtastic, no online, no damage, retarded AI, lots of stuff in the environments.. but there so 2D they are mediocore, too many JP cars.. Ach.

Oh well, I'm counting on Timesplitters 3 to reach my expectations. I think I was anticipating GT to be so godly....

I still give GT4 a 9.6

Best car to win the Supercar Festival is the Mercedes SLR McLaren which you can buy for $610 000 and suped up to the max. This should win you that Cup no problem.

I would just like to point out that the Cien is not a production car. There are only like 3 in the world or something.

Anyways, for the Supercar race, I bought a BMW M5, tuned it up a little and it easily won the race. It handles great too.

I know the game is made by a Japanese company, but COME ON. Asia isn't their only market.

In the tuner village, there is one company who is not Japanese. HPA. This game needs more NA cars...

Fully tuned Ford GT. Brakes or no brakes it's still fast and handles ok. 👍

I entered a stock Saleen S7 and won it. I also won with a stock GT40 and a stock Zonda 7.3 and a stock Tommy Kaira. This series is very easy. Don't waste your money suping up your cars to win it.

Stop playing B-spec for god sakes.

Whats wrong with B - Spec?

..honestly?.. especially for that 1,000 miles competition for before 70's cars.. really.. there was no way i was gonna sit there for 5 hours driving that ginetta G4 around nord 25 times

Well some of us despite playing gt3 a lot and playing gt4 a lot still suck at turning. making races a lot harder. I'm slowly getting better though, hopefully in a while I'll good enough to race underpowered cars. Sadly i'll probably end up having to buy an already expensive car and sup it up to win. Thanks for all the feed back everyone.

Yes, its like a bug.
Now, correct me of I'm wrong, the Clio isn't a MR car is it? Well it was racing against my NSX in the MR challenge. It still lost though. Muahaha!

I used the Yellow Bird as well. I had a hell of a time at Midway and Infineon, though. That car is so damn unstable without a brake bias controller.

The 1.6 Clio is FF, the Clio V6 definitely is MR.... crazy ass car. I wouldn't mind having one of those irl.

Ah, ok. So it wasn't a bug. Still lost though to me baby.

I used the Ford GT as well, even though I hate driving it. The only thing I'd advise people of is being careful which tires you put on it. I tried with Medium R3 slicks and during New York I was orange by the last lap; I had a 10 second lead and it all went to hell because when the Ford GT's tires go orange, it's dead in the water. You almost can't even drive in a straight line.

Then I switched to R1s and everything was pretty much okay again.

I had the same problem. I went to R3s on the front and R2s on the back.

Yellow bird is a good idea! However, as pointed out, the M5 kicks butt and wins easily pretty much anything it can enter.
