SuperCar Festival

I managed a second place in a semi modded '70 Charger with R3 tires and 572 HP. No matter which car happens to be in first I can not keep up with him. Even when running full horsepower. She doesn't quite have enough high speed cornering ability to keep pace with the leader.

A sure fire bet is the Comaro Race car. I needed a Stage 2 boost to win, but just barely. A stage three gives you a very comfortable victory margin.

I didnt think you can enter this event with race cars can you.

Oh dude you're right I got mixed up as to which race thread this was. Ya the race cars don't fly in this one. I thought I was on the American Championship thread.

Okay now that my brain is no longer temporarily out of service. I did win the Super car festival with the Charger. Yes I drive the Charger a lot.
Same HP and tires as stated before.

Sorry for any confusion!

I used the '05 Ford GT with a wing and Sport mediums. I upgraded everything but the engine, just so I could have a few good battles with the Cien, S7, and VW... still whooped them all though :sly:

I used the Yellow bird for this event. It was tight but worked. It was also around day 300 when I tried which made it even harder

I used a supercharged Z06 with Semi-racing suspension and everything else (minus NA tune-ups and S3 weight reduction) and it was great fun! It posed a challenge, despite only offering 10 A-Spec points. The car felt very very sluggish, though. This thing also had no brakes at all. Very difficult on the hairpin at New York. It was chugging around the corners, but the massive tourque made up for it. I had an excellent battle with a Cadillac Cien in New York.

It's not about not having brakes, it's the sport tires. 600PS or more on sport tires just doesn't cut it. That is why the red gear indicator is off mark for this series at the end of long straights (NY, Seoul).

By the way I used a GT-R M-Spec Nur tuned up to about 570PS; I had some trouble with the VW mostly, but got home with around 550 points for the series as well.

Z06 works very well. Add a wing and go into settings to max the downforce front and rear. Makes a huge difference.

I used minimal HP, but went with all other mods, with a chassis setup from Fumes in GT Vault. Cien blows by on long straights, but you can still beat it.

Tried the Yellow Bird. No traction on Sport tires at all. I'll try it with a wing next.

With a wing, you'll have to deal with the guilt of ruining the looks of one of the most beautiful cars of all time. Sure you can remove it, but there still is that hint of guilt.

The only problem I had with this series was on Midfield. The high speed S has been changed and is not so high speed anymore. My stock Saleen went off the track on the first lap but I came back to hold off the ZZII for the win. Every other race was close but not overly difficult.

I know the game is made by a Japanese company, but COME ON. Asia isn't their only market.

In the tuner village, there is one company who is not Japanese. HPA. This game needs more NA cars...
you can't even tune an American car! (haven't tried a European)

i used a M5 and it was pretty easy, minor power and take off some weights very easy series, i even won with a supped up subaru sti to 550 hps. Sad

I'm using a 670hp Ford GT '05. The brakes are ok if you just want to slow down, but trying to out-brake another car into a corner is a joke, and turning up the brake balance just makes the car unstable. I spun 6 times in as many laps on 90's Fuji coming into the chicane. :(
Number one rule when trying to stop the Ford GT: Pray

lol, I cant enter that race with a modified car ... or should i try again?because i tried to enter it with -idontknowanymorewhatcar- and i couldnt enter the supercar fest because it was modified :s
(does someone has good suspense setting for the mercedes mclaren?cuz it sucks without the right settings)
greetz

hmm, what is a modified car? cuz apperntly when you tune it up, it isnt a modifiedcar??

I just tried the race with a mercedes mclaren (900hp) and a bmw m5 (750hp) but they both couldnt win :s

now am trying a fully pimped paganina (or something like that)(thats about 800 000cr.)
and he is winning it easy!

Which car would get me through using b-spec. To be honest i really cant be bothered with this comp, i just need the percentage completion to get on those endurance races.

I got plenty of money i just really want to b-spec.

Won this series in a stock ford gt, had some very close races

I got the prize car in the worst colour available...............washed out
yellow :grumpy: i wanted red damn you!!

the car is very nice to drive though 👍

I beat this with a Vspec II N1 tuned 519 hp... The competition wasn't even close... I must of beat them by more than 8 seconds on every race...

If it wasn't for the 493 hp restriction I could of beaten them with maybe 445 or 450 hp... The AI can't drive for crap... When I do hot laps on every track, I am up almost 2 seconds a lap...

The trick here is sport tires... You can't steer a car when you balls out put a billion hp in it, so you pick those that can turn to begin with and no wheel spin (AWD) then you just out corner everything out there...

I can almost beat the All Japan Series with the same Skyline, however my car seems to eat a lot more tire than the AI... The lead car usually gets away and I end up in 2nd till last lap and end up middle 3... Still, it leaves me with 5 other cars for 6 laps and it's the most fun I've ever had...

B-spec with a 700+ (no other upgrades besides power)RUF yellow bird in NYC circuit, could NOT even crack top 3. Guess I will do my IA license and show Sammy(my bspec driver) how to do it . FYI i got ~5000 bspec pts 26% progress.

bought a used 1995 skyline R33 GTR N1 (whatever that mean) go to HKS/mines get a stage 3 around 600+hp + nitro and whatever else i can buy, won all(aspec) except the INFINEON/seoul !

Then get stage 4 turbo(~719hp)won seoul and still CANT win infineon... lead the 2/3/4 laps(wow think i was gonna win!) then the AI car just took steroid? overtook me.... I even knocked him to the sand/mud (like they did on TV in COPS) and bet he lost 5 secs there but that thing(saleen S7) just caught up and gone again... plus my tires were already yellow nitro tank empty so....
