i feel that the supercar festival is so grossly wealth based that PD is becoming a freakin french revolution on our a**

only sugestion is buy the brake upgrades and turn up the braking power with the balancer....im not a great tuner but that seems to be the obvious choice. The braking really is a porblem i ran a few test circuits with hairpins after straights and noticed that even on speed 1 in b-spec the driver still managed to skid into the grass. It is possible to brake though, usually just have to start halfway through a straight. :indiff:

I did 4 out of the 5 races with my 877 HP Skyline GT-R M-Spec Nur......but unfortunately I couldn't get better than 2nd place at Infineon usually due to lack of traction towards the end of the race. A fully modded 1000+ HP Viper SRT-10 did the trick for first place though...

whos gotten to extreme races yet? i have no life and thats what i doin now, im currently in the F1 gt championship (using b-spec mode to its full potential) and you have no idea how hard those f1 cars are to handle, you can really feel how light they are now, unlike in gt3.

They are not Formula One cars, they are the Japanese Formula 3000 carts.
F1 cars are smaller and has probably more restriction than the Japanese Formula One wannabes.
Honda came out a brand new engine for F1 u'll see at the opening GP this weekend at Albert Park Circuit in Australia. 3.0litre N/A engine, Max Power at 1000HP+ 20,000 RPM !!!! Can't wait for the openning of the fantastic F1 season.

This is the beautiful BAR007 which will make it's first appearance on track this weekend. Go BAR Honda !

Hey I'm trying to beat the supercar with a fully modded ford GT also, but i can't get it to brake or handle for crap. can you share your settings?
My main settings are known as; B-Spec Mode.

same lol im doing that 1,000 mile right now.. well at school right now, but started last night, and i've been using B-spec a good bit (mainly because i've been doing my homework at the same time :P

anyways, i still dont see how some cars can win.. like the RUF car that yall were talking about??? how the heck.. there was no way that i was gonna be able to win that race with a 200 or 300 something HP car vs. all those JGTC and GT and all those high performance race series cars

..still cant even keep near guy in last place with my fully modded ford GT.. nor 900 something hp caddy cien

I dont understand how your driving if you cant win that race with the caddy or the GT, what do you do when your approaching a turn. It should not be that hard realy.

oh i know lots about racing, i mean im good and all.. but my cars cant keep up against those audi R8 and extremely fast and low race spec cars its like... impossible

therefore im saving up and gonna buy a gillet lol
(since i've seen a gillet race and i just might be able to keep up in that.. or something ..hopefully :/)

either way, i run the lines as fast and as hard as i can without destroying the wheels.. but my cars just cant keep up.. at all dont know why though

I am not sure what everyone else is using. I see alot of people posted they are upgraded/tuned cars (Ford GT, with updates, M5 with updates, etc).

I just finished the Supecar Festival last night and I used a stock Ford GT 05. All I did what get an oil change first and then turn off the TSM/ASM.

Was difficult on a couple of tracks (Fuji and braking) but was fun as a result.

are you sure theyre japanese 3000s? i dont think they have nearly as much hp as f1 cars, and with 904 hp that would be very close.

but 1000 hp in a 1300 lb car...incredible, i love how close f1 is now, everyone has a chance to win races, i wonder how ridiculously fast the F2005 will be.

Wow, did this series give me trouble. I B spec-ed Seoul, and Super speedway with the Yellobird. For Mid-feild, and New York, I ended up A spec-ing with the Yellowbird after my B spec guy lost horribly using the Yello b, and then a Saleen. The worst was Infineon... Threw all my best cars at it trying both A spec, and B spec. Got really close with my saleen. I tinkered with the front/back weight ballast, and brake controll. It was sticking great. I lead from lap 1 thru 6 when a Zonda that was at least 3 seconds back the entire race walked up. Zonda was like "OOoo a Saleen" (Booof) off I go into the grass. :ouch: Damn was my self control tested.. Needless to say I lost, and took a break. :grumpy:

My cousin told me he B spec-ed the entire series in a Nissan R390 road car (The one I over looked :dunce: ). Sure as **** I bought one full modded it, entered Infineon, and won with ease. 👍

the SLR was a big let down :indiff: . Anyone else find this? I bought it to do the supercar festival but I bought it mostly because I wanted it. I wanted to love this car, and in some respects I do but......then came the understeering. Its worse than a front wheel drive car! Even the loads of power it has I can't counter-act it with oversteer and even when I've lifted off and at moderate speed for a corner its like its magneticly attracted to the wall. I was able to get used to this and avoid all wall collisions before entering the supercar fest and I won it comfortably. However I decided to use my lightly modded M5 in one of the races and I was able to pass the field in the first lap. I had a zonda on my rear about a second to 3 away from me the whole time but that made it interesting, and I got 81 a-spec points for it as opposed to 10 for the SLR. Don't get me wrong, the SLR is damn fast(195 on the straight before braking at fuji), its stable, and flat underbraking, but its handling is unforgivable, I was looking foward to doing a nur. lap with this now I think I'm better off getting an SL65 and lightly modding it. For the record the mods on the SLR in regards to handling were racing brakes, brake balancer, all 3 stages of weight reduction, rigidty increase, racing suspension.

The SLR is one of thoes cars that you have to learn how to drive all over again, when you get the hang of it and get the settings right, it's a fast machine round any track.

I decided to (against my better judgement) buy a TVR Speed 12 only to come to the realization that they still drive like oil tankers missing a rudder. So then I bought the Saleen S7 and that didn't work .. I just haven't gotten the car tuned in how I would like it yet. I think I may go out and get the R390 Road Car like azmati said, why not? I've already spent 780,000 on this one series :ouch::banghead:.

I felt the same way about the SLR, it does handle kind of oddly, but its fast once you get used to it. Its still hideous though.

Maybe you shouldn't have gotten the rigidity increase, that may be why your are understeering. If you can't take it off (hopefully you can) you might want to give it some toe out on the front, that seems to help with cars that understeer (ctr2, elise, etc).

If that doesn't do it you could make the back suspension a little harder than the front....

True, the rigidty increase did make it feel different. But it still had horrible understeer as stock. I don't know I'll mess with some other settings besides the brake controler and shocks and see how that works out. What if I adjust the weight balance, move the balast forward a bit?

SL65 AMG!!!

This is the most overlooked beast in the game it seems. Check the stats. 604/738 stock. Put a wing on it though, no matter what other mods you use.

mhm, i tuned up a ruf to the max, nothing...
bought a ZZII(thinking i will be able to use it because i raced against one and it beat the hell out of me)
bought an m5 and tuned it to the max, still nothing...
thats more than a 1.5mill on this series

The TVR Speed 12 is a phenominal car, if you can't get it to do what you want your simply not good enough, it's been that way in every GT it's been in. They don't drive like oil tankers either, I think your getting under and oversteer mixed up, oil tankers DON'T turn, the TVR spins out a lot if your not careful.

My fully-tuned Skyline GT-R M-Spec Nur was able to beat all of the races easily :odd: (except one which I beat with my Viper because I didn't feel like trying lol) So why you wouldn't be able to beat one with it's mid-engined counterpart (ZZII) is beyond me
