Whats wrong with B - Spec?

..honestly?.. especially for that 1,000 miles competition for before 70's cars.. really.. there was no way i was gonna sit there for 5 hours driving that ginetta G4 around nord 25 times

Getting tired of these people whining about B-Spec. "Wah! Wah! B-Spec is cheating. Wah! Wah!" It's a feature of the game, and if folk want to play using it, it's none of anybody elses damn business.

Elitist dolts.

whos gotten to extreme races yet? i have no life and thats what i doin now, im currently in the F1 gt championship (using b-spec mode to its full potential) and you have no idea how hard those f1 cars are to handle, you can really feel how light they are now, unlike in gt3.

point being, its easier to beat f1 cars in this championship then to beat the LMP and C-class cars in the gt-all stars, and other races that those cars are in. with the same f1 car.

lemme know if any of you guys encounter the same issue.

p.s. dont enter the mercedes clk-gtr in the the professional world championship, youll get spanked, even with the 1080 hp mods.

p.s.s. if you win all the races in the formula gt, all together you get $4,500,000

Yes, its like a bug.
Now, correct me of I'm wrong, the Clio isn't a MR car is it? Well it was racing against my NSX in the MR challenge. It still lost though. Muahaha!

they take the 1.6 and remove the back seat and put an engine there, pretty budget, but hey, it gets the job done right?

btw, enter any half way decent race car with superhards and a good deal of hp into the 24 nurb on bspec, let it go overnight and while youre at school youll come home to a pretty, shiny, brutally fast formula gt.

i've heard a lot about this "Yellow Bird". What is it? i thought i read somewhere it was a RUF...? What are the specs for this?

Correct, it is a RUF I'm not sure of the HP or Weigh off hand But the Stock HP is like around 500 (not sure), and stock weight is about 1200KG. You can do weight reduction and get the weight down to about 1100KG which is pretty light. You can also upgrade the turbo. Mine has about 600. The car is a bit quirky to drive (much like the 911's of the era, it will understeer one second then be oversteering the next), but once you get used to it it is fun as hell. especially with the driving aids adjusted (i.e. OFF.)

Yes, its a RUF. A ridiculously famous car in it's day. Taken from fast-autos.net

"In 1987 the CTR faced the sports car establishment at the Volkswagen test track, Ehra-Lessien. The Formula One World Champion Phil Hill and the Le Mans winner Paul Frère set up a top speed of 339.9 km/h, thus making the RUF CTR the fastest production automobile"

Check out the specs of it. It was faster 18 years ago than most tuner cars today. Sure it was basically a one off, I remember they modded another one several years later that was blue, but this is the original.

Those of you that remember the $375,000 Gemballa Mirage Pioneer Porsche and Vanilla Ice's Avalanche know that the engines in those cars where RUF tuned. Simply fantastic to expand on these models in this game.

The Clio V6 is pretty much a completely different car, it has a wider track, different chassis, suspenzion, interior ect. It's not pretty budget either, they cost loads.

haha nah the only thing i meant by saying budget was the engine placement and how they do it, obviously other wise a very nice car.

i used an almost fully tuned mercedes benz cl 65 (convertible) it has 606 h.p. stock, and fully tuned is 999 h.p. the car works and runs great, and is excellent in the turns.

I've been using a fully modded Ford GT with approx 875 horsepower and I absolutely spank the competition. My wife has to laugh when she sees that I'm 23 seconds ahead of the next closest car and I'm only on lap 5.

Make sure you have every go fast goody, but the supercharger, which slows it down, all the suspension parts, the brakes, et al.

Yes, I"M A BIG KID!!

Yeah but does it (or any car) race with it's top down? I bought a 600SL and it raced with the top up... curious.

you can only race with the top down in arcade mode, and if you do your only against one opponent not five, it is optional.

Thanks. Weird though. Does it have to do with the GPU and slowdown?

Can anyone take a good guess here.....would a decently modded Skyline GT-R M-Spec Nur be able to handle itself in the supercar festival?

It should do, depending on the driver ofcourse, but the car is more than capable.

Alright, that gets my hopes up. What stage of turbo am I going to need to run? I have a stage 2 on my N1 right now, and it's at 510 HP with the larger intercooler plus a chip and port/polish. I'm estimating it'll be around 550 (a little less) once I do engine balance and displacement UP. However I bought the M-Spec Nur figuring it would overall have a better capacity for mods and handle better. Did I make a bad move with the Nur?

If I mod the Nur, I'm estimating it'll be closer to 565 all said and done on the stage 2 turbo. I originally figured I'd be ok, but most of the cars I'm racing against are 550 or better and have torque numbers to match. If I get a higher stage turbo, I'm worried about lag. Will I be ok with a larger turbo against these torque monsters?

If you can get it to around 600 that should do, you occasionally race against a harder guy, usually in the last race in a VW so you may need to tune a bit more to win that.

Try racing a convertible on a course where you only face one opponent. I used the same Mercedes in the Costa Di Amalfi Special Conditions Race (#2) and its top was down the whole time. Not sure if they put the "driver shifting gears" animation in though; the Mercedes could have had paddle shifters...?

Well i just won all five races gold with a M3 fully modded. It's running around 500HP.
I did not have to much trouble, i did have to rerace 2 of the races cause i got spun out by a cpu car. It want to bad i won by 5 seconds most every race.

I used an R33 for the New York Race and Infineon.... understeers like a pig. It was pretty much fully modded... but it wasn't too hard to win, as long as you are decent. My friend did it with an M5 and said it was pretty easy too.
The rest of the races I did with the YellowBird... one badass car, but will bite you in the ass if you aren't careful.

I think I'm good now. My recently acquired M-Spec Nur is making 686 HP on a stage 5 turbo pretty much stock otherwise except exhaust/intake. Now begins the other mods to see if I can make it...

i also used my ford gt 05 with all suspension brakes drivetrain and lightening done. no extra hp and i pretty much handled them. i did notice that if you put a wing on your fort gt it helps keep it undercontrol at speed cause before sometimes i could feel the rear of it kinda slipping out when i tried to draft and pass of straights, maybe it was just me though.

Best car to win the Supercar Festival is the Mercedes SLR McLaren which you can buy for $610 000 and suped up to the max. This should win you that Cup no problem.

I used the Mercedes SL65. Its only 190K base price. You can addon a turbo. Save ya some cash.
