Some good races last night. Rome is a great track! Lots of side by side action! I managed to get my setup sorted in the second race, got my lap time down to 1:03.8 in the race! Still getting used to the GTR, it doesn't react to setup changes in the same way as the Lexus!

Hope we get some more people turning up to race next week, would be good to get a proper endurance race done!

Indeed some great racing yesterday. I was fast in Q but had no consitency during the race. Must sort this out before the season starts. Rome is a fun track but I fear how that would play out with 16 GT500 cars on track. I remember when we last raced here we had some issues and reports after the race.

Race track for next week will be Silverstone as proposed by @xStretch-. I will make a club event and send out invites to all members.

I will train to match your benchmark lap time around Spa, even if I'm pretty sure I'm not as fast as you guys I'd like to drive my Xanavi Nismo GTR if it's still free, if I understand correctly I have to apply a 87.7% power limiter, ballast and add a turbo kit to match the requirements?

PS: although I would love to take part in every race of the championship I'm not sure I can, is that a problem?

Glad to have you on board Tijee! The Nissan Xanavi is free to take yes. The requirements you mentioned are correct.

It's not a rule to take part in every round the only problem here is it you will lose championship points.

Hello PJ. At the moment I still cant post any dates because I am still not sure when excatly the season is starting. If we get a full grid in the next few days then the plan is to start on 16th after the preseason race at Silverstone, round 2 would be on 23rd and then a three week holiday break. Round 3 would start Jan 6th.

This means we have a full grid and can finally start season 8! Round 1 will start a week after the preseason race tomorrow at Silverstone. I will post the full schedule with dates tonight.

At the moment we are full going by the list as we got 3 new drivers today. But Bialy1000R has been awfully quiet lately so I'm not sure if he is still joining us for the season. I will try to get in touch with him and let you know as soon as possible. But I would still put you on reserve list and going by experinace reserve drivers usually get a full seat by round 2 or 3.

@amcdo122 , As it loooks Bialy will not race so I can put you down in the Lexus Petronas. You will be teaming up with the veteran @mirial, he can help you a lot with the setup if you haven't sorted it out yet. Nice to have you on board 👍

Edit: I just noticed you are from Australia amcdo. I'm afraid this is open only for Europians because of connection stability. Driver Skengdigi with USA flag actually lives in the UK. Also I think you would have to race at the middle of the night. So I'm not sure if this is the best series for you to join. To be fair I also just now got a reply to my invitation from a driver that raced last season. I reserve the spot for him so I must give it to him even if he gave me a late reply. Sorry mate I hope you find some other series on this forum.

Yes, very glad to see a full grid! Hope it stays this way all season! Looking forward to get racing again. Struggling for pace at Silverstone so far, 55.1 is my best lap time, not sure if its down to the Advan GTR being slower than the others, as it was in GT5, or if it's just my bad driving!! I will use it for the pre race tomorrow anyway, as I have no time for testing before the race, but I may switch to the Motul GTR for the season with Andro if I find it to be faster! See you all on track tomorrow!

I'm afraid the Motul is not free anymore @lozzaiscool. Sken is teaming up with Andro for the season. At the moment it looks like you and Tony will be teammates. Not sure which car he will use but it's allowed to have diffrent cars in a team.

Season schedule is still open to change when it comes to dates if the majority can't race on a certian date.

Race day schedule:

Race 1 (17 laps 100km) - Lobby Open at 20:00 cet
Q - 20:45 cet
R - 21:00 cet

Race 2 - 10 min after Race 1 (10 Laps) Reverse Grid

I added race 2 just for the fun factor tonight as race 1 is quite short by our standars at 100km. Reverse grid based on race 1 results will be the grid for race 2. It's not necassary to join race 2 if you have to call in an early night.

I remind all drivers again escpecialy at Silverstone. Two wheels on track/kerb at all times! There will be no penalties in pre race but there will be warnings. In season there will be penaties. I changed the penalty system that penalties are actually smaller but I will be handing them out more frequently if drives are braking the rules be sure of that.

It was tough for my first race, I felt like a noob, yet apart from some mistakes and a few spins I did my best (even improved my best lap time ).

I tried a few setups from the internet and it seems they're all result in a loose rear, which surprized me because I always thought that the car must be as stable as possible and have a linear behaviour, I was used to suspensions stiffer on the front than the rear. But this time I tried to have a bit of oversteer and I confess I had better results (you may not have noticed ) but I really have the feeling that the car skids instead of just turning, I find it weird and not "realistic".

What kind of setups do you guys use? And is there any way that you can try my setup, so I can see what lap time you manage to achieve with it (I'd like to know if my main lack is my setup or my driving)?

Anyway I'm glad I can race with you guys, I hope I'm not a burden too much
