I really had a blast though and laughing out loud

and about the chicane at Monza, I really tried, tried very hard but I wasn't given a chance to take it normally or to take it at all.

I drove a couple of races waving my white surrender flag, unfortunately they still wanted to smash my backend and take me down , all hungry wolves in for the kill of my little Maserati. Currently it is in the garage for some new fenders and a paintjob. Probably it won't be finished today.....

I've had the exact same problem as bullie77 with the ps3 freeze when entering settings in championship.Happend in race 1 at mugello and race 2 at adria.Similuar settings as bullie.Only tryed to access settings in free training so it might be only there.As I remember there was nothing when I changed the settings before I got on the track,but when I returnd to the pit to change setup it froze.

Hereward was glued on BFBC2,But Redgate Bigjizzy(man that AMG flyes in your hands)GTP_Adeuk Turnuptheat(Dereck) joined me on my first online championship.Good racing,little lag(only a bit from Bigjizzy's car in Portimão) only one disconnection ,not very bad all things considered...:tup:The AI cars were savage(Legend)-is it me or their cars don't suffer from tire wear like ours-and messed up things a little bit but after there was enought people on the lobby(earlier it was me redgate and othe guy whose nick finished in 66) i couldn't turn them off anymore...

Sorry guys, I was out defending your liberties with Dragontastic.......I did however manage to get a few laps down in the M1 Abrams......you would have been proud LOL I'll be bringing "big bessy" along to the next race once she has had her racing sripes painted, I'll trundel along at the back and obliterate any cheaters or punters.

@arvore great racing last night thanks for hosting, although the a.i. are hard to deal with when your tires are worn.

About the freezing issue, i had it happen about 3 times similar settings to bullie in championship mode but they all happened on track for me, twice in practice/qualifying once in race. I'm on a 60gb launch model no mods using wheel not pad.

thanks for some GREAT racing, my first online championship and its good how you can jump in mid way through, i also like the fact you can set the weather to random.......

BLOODY HELL those AI cars are quick on legend LOL...... Not to mention brutal , bang bang punt bash, You can really see how hard it is when your stuck in the pack......

I agree with the tyre wear the ai lap times drop off but they dont seem to struggle.

I suprised myself with some of the overtakes last night believe me, Like on mugello the 2 fast right handers.... i just kept my foot in and prayed, Id be able to hold it on the outside,....

I must say some incredibaly clean racing last night except from the AI of course LOL.

And apologies to heat who as it transpires i knocked off at Monza. No excuses but i can HONESTLY say i didnt feel us touch,.......... But big congrats to everyone for going ROUND the curbs LOL

Seems theres undoubtedly a bug in single player! I can't for one moment imaginge all those experiencing freezes have the same settings on there PS3. Here's hoping that Blackbean are working on a patch......there not the most comunicative bunch as was seen with the first V8 title, but with the effort they've put into this series and I suspect it's better reception by the coumunity we can hopefuly see a patch coming soon. Anyone seeing any info on the net about it please post a link, I'll do likewise. Now, should I go with the low profile tracks for Big Bessy or full body kit? Se dose suit a spoiler and front spliter

Hi guys and thanks for the feedback!

I did a quick testing last night as I've previously said, although a little different, and it seems to work. Basically what I did was delete all SSV8_NC files from my PS3 (general settings, save championships, progress) and start from scratch (yeah, back to driving/racing school). Grabbed the C63 on legend, 10 lap championship, stock config, all aids off, realism all on.

I didn't drive actually the championship since I haven't got the time, but I did a few laps of free practice; abort session -> few laps on race 1; abort session -> few laps race 2; abort session -> so on, so on, and I managed to go through the round 4 (Mugello).

All try to test it further tonight and tomorrow properly (20 lapper championship!!) and I'll come back to you.

PS - to those who seem to have similar issues, have you eventualy overcome it? How?

freezes and I have to turn the ps3 off.When I enter ex. track-info first and then goes to car-settings it's ok.Today I had a freeze-up when driving
also in championship-mode.I had changed some set-up and motormanagement to extreme,and when I went to the track I drove around 20 sec,and
the ps3 froze.Had to turn it off.This was on Magione also in chamionsship-mode.

Guys im sad to hear abou all your problems, but for me persoanlly ive done championship on 20 laps in hard Ai, and not had any probs,

To be fair though i have not tried to change any settings, as you cant use them online so i didnt want to change the car dynamics......

I only use the Preset tunes, had up to now no problems within the championship accept the long loading screen in round 3

Gotta say, I'm the same as you on this Doblo. I've not had any freeze ups yet. Guess it's a pain in the arse though having to keep resetting your PS3 because of wanting to tune the car.

I completed a championship in legend and luckily didn't encounter any problems. I also stuck with the qualification and race preset settings. I had an interesting time trying to keep the pack behind me during the Vallelunga races and I realised afterwards that I had forgotton to change from qualification to the race settings. Needless to say the tyres were not in good nick by the end!

Guys Ithink I've diagnozed the freezing bug.First I thought it was track related because it happened to me twice in Magionne-and others reported the same bug in this track.But now I'm pretty sure it is related with the use of custom(own)car settings.
Last night I was playing my offline championship(10 laps,Legend,all assists off,all realism settings on) and at Portimão I tweaked a little with the preset setting I selected-Higher revs and less wing inclination, in order to obtain better top speed at the finish line straight- and the game froze twice in qualification and latter at 1st race in the loading menus-after the qualify and race-then I went for another round-had to repeat the 1st race.with preset settings and all went well...I've conclude the game freezes whenever you use custom settings because I've also used them at Magione(with the opposite purpose,better accelaration)and it also froze, in the other tracks I've been using one of the presets settings I had no problem...so it really seems to exist a cause/effect relationship betweeen the use of personal settings and the freezing episodes...
