I tried the demo and it is much better than the first, opponents actually race you, graphics are solid and presentation is slick. Best of all the physics, much improved low speed driving and just generally more real. Evolving track conditions are superb addition as well. Thumbs up all round from me.

This one is interesting. Shows the menus (in French) the car and track list. Pity we don't get to see the online options.

I've driven some laps in the Xbox360 demo. The menu shows 11 tracks.

A preview video revealed some frame skip but I experienced a stable frame rate (except in replays) and no tearing.

My biggest disappointment is the steering (using a pad).
There is a delay in steering response and it's not sensitive enough around the center.
If you give a short steering impulse there's nearly no reaction of the car.
Input is not configurable in the demo.

As already seen in other videos: mirrors are only in the cockpit views.
Reflections on the car are rendered only at half frame rate.
Textures and detail are mediocre (but quite ok for a low budget title), spectators are modeled in 3D.
Update: graphics look better than initially thought. However most times there's a plain "2D" wall representing forest next to the track (Monza).

I doubt it, the first one never did. You can buy it from links above however. Hopefully they will have the demo on the European PSN soon.

The first Superstars V8 was AFAIK a try out a test and budget game for milestone to see what the public thinks about their race game, hence being a budget game.

Maybe that's why it wasn't available in the US, I think.

There wasn't a demo for the first one so I wouldn't be surprised if this will not get a demo either. Microsoft's policy is bit different iirc, so that's why they get more demos on games. Not sure though.

You are right about the first game. However, I seem to remember an article a few weeks ago clearly stating a demo for the Xbox and PS3. I could be wrong.

Okay, let's hope you remember correctly. It would be great to have a go in a demo 👍

Yeah, that's why I found it great. For some it's just an avatar but people familiar with AR will automatically notice it. (I have a little "Alfaholic" living in me )
