ok ok....we will go to La Sarthe where we can bop the new class Antique 1950-1959.

We will dump slower cars from later years into this last class. We need to set a target time that ALL the cars can achieve. We should set the target BOP time by the slowest car instead than excluding it.

Not sure I’ll be around on Sunday, although I’ll try to be.

I just got a couple of doubts...

1) liveries must have the pro/am decals displayed, right? Or is this only for GT races?

2) do I need to register every race? If so how?

3) are the quoted cars the only ones permissible this weekend?

Perfect! Now I just need a tune for the Porsche Speedster!

Appreciate all your hard work guys.

What’s the race schedule over the Christmas/new year period? Any changes?

How about a classic car race on Thursday, Boxing Day. Say 90 minutes, open to all our BOPd cars. One 5 min stop, one lap Practice, Qualify, Race for fun.
Make sure your livery is an actual livery that your car actually ran in if possible.

Thanks to all who tested today. I do believe the car list is staggeringly impressive. If you can’t find a car that makes you smile there, you must have no heart at all. My favorites in class are:
Shelby Class: Daytona Coupe.

Touring class: Shelby GT 350

Antique class: Alfa Giulia

The pictured Mustang sold for almost 1 million at Amelia Island . It had belonged to Ca Am driver Charlie Kemp and is the winningest GT350 in history with 32 wins. It also clocked 186 mph at Daytona... faster than its Father, the Cobra. Only 34ish of the 350Rs were made.

was the Miura ever raced...not in North America how about Europe?

So the GT350 has a tune for the tour in class as well? In the PoB table above, it’s only listed in the race car class.

If there is a touring car tune for this it will be cool.
Hey Rev can you repost the Touring car class BOP if you still have it, if not I'll set one today

here is a productive way to earn money off line.
Go to the Nostalgia 1979 race in GT Challenge.
Select La Sarthe
Select the Shelby or Race car that you have and hopefully actually use in the historic races
Boost its performance to the one you use for the race.(boost it all the way if you care not but for the money)
Race is two laps...7 minutes or so.
It will be (usually) a challenge for the Shelby cars to win....not so for the P4 and MK4 (I use the Jag boosted all the way).
Win is 160 plus 50% clean bonus (you will be clean...right?) so 240 or 160. A clean second to 120ish
You get practice in passing with your car and you actually get a healthy prize.

ok guys, I did not say anything during the last couple of days of test racing BUT....damage was off to allow us to push the cars to the max without penalty. BUT...this is friendly racing and collecting people due to BAD re-entries after an off, or shouldering your way through is NOT allowed. When you have an off you must stop and re enter in a safe manner. If that means if you end up last...so what. Its a game.

If someone brakes early and you hit him...its still your fault. We had some VERY close racing at Mulsanne and Indianapolis, some of which was over enthusiastic (Me too... sorry Zoppo) but during testing while things are still a bit looser the rules are the same.

From now on Heavy Damage is back on and the rule which forces you to follow the driver you hit back to the pits is back in force.

Another thought, This fun race on Thursday is all about fun, but every time we go on track we trust each other, do not ruin that please.

Rant over

Good fun today guys... see you all on Sunday!

I purchased the Dino earlier on today, and I’m gonna work on its livery in the next day or so!

Are there any numbers / liveries that have already been taken? I don’t want to work on the exact thing some one else has already done!

Today we will alternate 30 minute races for Gr2/3 cars from the tour( no tuning) and then Historic cars. This will be the first time we have mixed our groups. Some only race the Tour and others the Historic . This Sunday we will mix it up as this is an “off” weekend claimed by neither series. And the track , Spa, is the next Tour track.

Think I’ll pass on the GR 2/3 categories and take the opportunity to go outside for a change.

What time will the historic races start?
