I've downloaded Timo's and Hugo's files and the former unzips fine, but yours, Hugo, seems to be using a zip compression algorithm that's not widely suppported (PPMd, method 98) so if you can set your zipping preferences to use a more standard method (the most standard one is usually called "deflate") it should be OK.

And it's probably better not to rename the folder containing the replay files ("BCES0...") like you did because the name is referenced in the PARAM.SFO file inside the folder, and it's unclear if GT will find the replay or the PS3 will know where to put it if you change the folder name.

The easiest and least likely to cause trouble probably is to make sure there's just the replay in the PS3 folder and zip that in its entirety, like Timo did.

Oh crap, just realised my GT-R replay was requested DAYS ago! I'll try the replay uploading thing as soon as I get home today Timo. I'm not submitting a replay for my Corvette time though, seein gpeople go a second or more faster is just waaaaay too shameful. Although someone might tell me where I'm losing time?

..If there is laps that fail to be verified, they will be black flagged and moved aside (I won't delete the times, just move them to a proper place). Then you need to drive a similar lap again with the particular car to regain your position on the board.

Thanks you for the explanation, Zabeu 👍 I rezipped the file using a different command now and found when browsing the details that the file is zipped using the "deflated" method. I hope it does work now!

Edit: I can't open Rudi's zip file, so used WinRar to compress my replay. Maybe that helps...

About the lap, there are actually more places where I lost some time, but driving around the curb seemed to be the fastest way around there with my setup. The extra metres are made up with an higher exit speed!

Yes, I occasionally make a nuisance of myself in the Suzuka 750, playing roadblock with a GT '06, which is a rather nice handling car on R rubber. But it's nothing like the all-evening stints with the 600pp NSX I used to love so much.

Can't help with your unzipping problem I'm afraid, I don't use Windows as my day-to-day OS.

I had a go in the GT-R and got 1.58.097. I was trying for a low 1.57 to see if it competes. I probably could get a high 1.57 but I lost interest and it didn't seem that good in this event but I was probably doing something wrong as I'm sure it could be better in average laps.

Sigh...couldn't find my GT-R lap Timo, feel free to take it off the board. I think I overwrote it with my corvette laps. Although Chronos smashed my lap so his is the representative time for the car now

Great lap Chronos, I'll have to watch that later. At least if I can see which corners you're faster on it may give me clues to the setup.

srsly, tho - try setting compression method to 'best' on winrar - might shrink it under the 100k if you haven't tried it already

I cleaned my ipod of savedata and desktop and download the GTRzip which worked fine then I transfered it to another account on the PS3 which had no recent replays and watched it.

When I uploaded I put the folder BCES00104-RPLY2-B-C04A4704013 into a GTR1.58xxx folder so I don't have all these BCES41434 folders everywhere. So discard the GTR1.58 folder once you unzipped it. Just drag the BCES00104-RPLY2-B-C04A4704013 folder into you usb stick or ipod's SAVADATA folder. SAVEDATA on you usb stick should be inside a PS3 folder.

I downloaded ashdtv and Timppaq's replay ok and they're over 100KB. Sure the limit on this site is around 1000KB. EDIT: zip limit is 1.00MB, so its 1024KB.

Not sure about vista and mac but my Windows xp can extract with its own Extraction Wizard, just right click on the zip and select Extract all.

If I want to zip a normal folder I just right click on it and select 'Send To' then select 'Compressed (zipped) Folder' and then it creates a zipped folder on the desktop using Windows own tools, then I use the paper clip logo on the preview post on gtplanet to upload to the site.

For RAR and others I use IZarc, a totally free extractor that does more than winrar and Winrar also costs money last time I checked. Winrar has a free trial, or dodgy shareware version or maybe you can get it form those pirate sites.

Tried Best on WinRar, downloaded WinZip and still can't get the folder below 105kb. I must be doing something fundamentally wrong...apart from not doing a 1'57

I wanted to see if I could attach ok with no probs and join the drivers who are uploading the submitted laptimes also, a new time for me that is so small an improvement it's hardly worth mentioning haha! but it has to match the replay so here goes ..

Managed to get this to work on my PS3, deeply impressive lap! Clean and verified 👍

I got a few clues to your gearing and using something similar with RVT's other setup values I managed to vastly increase my pace, so thank you for sharing! I think with some more practice I may actually be able to break into the 57s. I knocked a tenth off my best lap in this thread but no replay = no good.

I have NO doubts whatsoever, but I feel this needs to be fair for everyone. I know how fast driver you are.. 👍 The rules are like this atm, and I knew this would happen, but I still think that it's a good thing to verify the fastest entries for every car.

So if it's not the fastest time with that car, it can still go into the board without a submitted replay. 👍
