Suzuka Lap Times For 640+ Cars!

Tested Mine's Lancer Evolution VI '00

It's about 6 seconds slower than Mine's BNR34 Skyline GT-R N1 Base '06.

Now onto testing the only Mine's car I haven't tested yet, the Skyline GT-R V-Spec '00.

Done, with a 2:11.393 which is somehow half a second quicker than the '06. Perhaps that car needs to be re-tested...

I did that car a while back but I didn't record it for some reason. I think the HP or weight specs were missing.
Yes the power and weight numbers are not shown, even in the garage.
If you go to Garage Car list and sort by HP you can see where the car fits in between, estimate power. Then sort by weight and again estimate from the ones above and below. Works better the more cars you have.

Okay so it's somewhere between 560-582 HP, and 1451-1680 kg.

I'm sure someone could narrow it down a little more for me? I sold off a bunch of fancy cars because I was too lazy to grind the Red Bull events on occasion...

I think I can explain how the old mines skyline is quicker.

The '06 has more downforce and in turn, more drag compared to the '00,

On GT5, the '00 was slower around a track but faster in a straight line and there's only a few turns at Suzuka where the extra downforce of the '06 would give a noticeable advantage.

Whenever it's now quicker around a track as well will depend on what the re-run of the '06 can do. ;)

Now alls we need is one of these lists for forza 4 and this thread gets a whole lot more interesting being able to compare the 2. I kno alot of people are as curious as me how well these cars are represented in both, or any of these racing games on the market for that matter.

You know what im going to start a database suzuka star.. i dont know whether if it should be in a new thread or just continue this 1 but ill take some suggestions as well as hotlap some popular cars tonight and post up my results.

@PlayerONE7125 if you want to post your times in this thread, I have no problem with that as long as you're using Sport Hard tires, and no oil changes :sly:

@Vic Reign93 it appears the Mine's '06 is the superior car after all. I don't know what happened the first time around. I'm rarely more than a few tenths off when I re-test...

Old time - 2:11.821
New time - 2:10.572

That's about 8 tenths faster than the '00 version...

100 Stock Cars with just oil change on sport hard tires. (Grip on realistic)

Just the S2000 '06 is fully tuned (FT)

Nice list so far! It's fun and addicting isn't it? I love to go through my list and see just how close some of the cars really are. Lots of interesting comparisons to be made.

I'm struggling now to find any more cars to test. There are only a handful of the super-expensive cars left and that's pretty much it until GT7 comes out :(

Just made an Open Office document with:
Time - PP - Make - Model - Year - PP-Rank - Time-Rank - Rank +/-

PP-Rank = highest PP=1 / lowest PP=100
Time-Rank = fastest=1 / slowest=100
Rank +/- = PP-Rank - Time-Rank -> (how many cars with higher PP were beaten / most underrated cars)

just found out that i can´t upload open office docs xD ...

Here's another one I hadn't tested yet.

Amuse Carbon R (R34) '04

It comes on SS tires so I traded those for SH's. Not sure how sticky the car is on SS tires, but SH are like ice skates. Not enough grip for this 594 hp, 1123 kg beast.

Managed a 2:15.197

I could do 2:14 but fighting with the left analog stick to keep the damn thing straight is annoying.

I made a tutorial kind of, for people trying to make 2 million in 17-18 minutes. I spun out once or twice because I was nervous recording myself live...

I just wanted to stop by and commend you on all the hard work and dedication that you have put into this and all the other projects that you have taken on. Its great to see useful threads like this on these forums as compared to some of the other pointless jibber jabber (my opinion) I have come across in the past. Great job you have done with these, you are truly a dedicated player of the game. Thanks for all your contributions here on these forums.

Okay this will probably be my last car. I'm getting somewhat exhausted with these and I want to get around to playing other games. I started FFX HD over the weekend and got 9 hours into it. I'd forgotten how nice it is to play OTHER games :sly: I can't wait to do this again with GT7.

2:10.737 - Mercedes-Benz CLK Touring Car '00

Replay will be uploaded to my youtube channel within a half hour (first link in sig)

Okay so it seems I can't break my Suzuka addiction just yet...

Re-tested R32 Skyline GT-R '89

Old - 2:25.037
New - 2:24.984

Re-tested R33 Skyline GT-R '95

Old - 2:24.233
New - 2:23.845 (0.003 seconds slower than the Supra RZ! They are perfect rivals!)

I'm pretty confident (85-95%) that, in stock form, the R32 is incapable of 2:23 and the R33 is incapable of 2:22

I think a 2:23 lap COULD be possible in the hands of a very capable wheel user and mid 2:24s for the DS3 users.

A perfect lap in my hands will get me to the mid 24's but I'm happy with what I have. :)
