Just realised that the Mazda and the Scirocco will be gone next year, which incidentally are both the cars I was fastest in testing with for this season. Here's hoping I find a good setup for the Golf or the Focus (or any other car, really)...

How about a poll on tyres for next season (TOCA regulars only)...?

I vote round tires

I think mediums are perfect.

Says the guy who doesn't have to deal with insane understeer in the final couple of laps. #FuriLogic

Well, to be fair, it's your series, so you get to decide.

Guess I will factor in long runs much more as part of the equation for season 8. The Ford is not known as a tyre killer to my knowledge, and the 4WD-Golf shouldn't be either, unless you go sideways the whole time.

Are any additional new cars planned...?

Edit: Apparently one new one still to be revealed. (Scirocco out, Golf in; Mazda out, Focus in; Suzuki out, ??? in)

Why not go all out on Sports Softs and actually make the cars hard to drive?

Go on Furi, do it! do it! do it! ;)

By the way, how come you are releasing cars if you don't have the tyre regs sorted? How do you know if the cars will be even on those tyres..?

Guys, I'm not kidding, my favourite thing to do with touring cars is stick them on a small, tight course; why?

It's because that makes close racing happen naturally.

ITCC's at High Speed Ring, Trial Mountain, Madrid... It all works out for us. I see no problem with ToCA's more mature, serious lot running there.

The Trial Mountain races though... Trial Mountain forward looks absolutely spectacular (James May voice) in replays. Wait 'til you see 16 cars curb-hopping through the last corner, all the way up 'til Turn 3.

But, Autumn Ring? The full version? It's a bit overplayed, sorry.

Why not something more original? Why not say "screw it" and go to Tokyo R246 Reverse, like ITCC did last season? That was an awesome race.

Seriously, don't forget about the other tracks.

Mature!??

Mature and TOCA.

1st time I've seen those two in a sentence............

In comparison to ITCC, I guess. Furi doesn't know what he's in for. I don't even know what he's in for, and I'm the series director. :scared: :dopey:

Anyways, I wasn't just telling lies about how mature the touring car fields are. I was also mentioning tracks again. Because the length of that post, and the number of times I mentioned tracks gave no one that idea already, right?

I'm a bit unsure about R246, it seems like a slipstream-fest. That main straight has to be at least 1km long!

And the reverse version is horrible for a 16 car race because of the way the track narrows before the first corner.

Was it just me or does this message make no sense?

You expressed distaste for the track and made a remark about pileups being usual in ToCA.

I expressed my like for it. Followed by the reason in brackets. What's not to understand?

The "first win" part. Because I didn't realize you actually won for the first time on that particular track. Although it wasn't a TOCA race. :P

True it was Lotuses. But that doesn't make the track any less awesome. :sly:
