I heard that James (Twissy) has been DQ'd for this reason
~All driving aids except ABS at 1 are disallowed.~
There's definitely NO WAY to police it since you can change your abs in the RA menu (during a race or free run) without altering what the other are seeing when they check your car specs (tires, TCS, ABS, etc) in the lounge.
I mean that you can set your ABS to 1 and when you enter the track, you can set it to 10 and the guys in the room will see that your ABS is set to 1.

So in my humble opinion, this rule of "only ABS 1 is allowed" shouldn't be. It should be "ABS allowed" (or not).

EDIT: And I'm sorry to still teach you guys things about GT5 after over 2 years...

I know about RA functions, I use them myself. What you have said is nothing new.

Twissy is first racer to be fall foul of this rule in 8 seasons.

On opposite day maybe Polar... Twissy is Alien esp in spec cars.

That doesn't change the fact that you can change your ABS higher than 1 without being spotted.
When you can't police something, allow it is the smartest way to go...

👍 Agreed, it's a dumb rule. I have raced against Twissy before, he is a very clean driver. I think Furi was just worried about RPM's teams' crown. 👎

You can police it though. In the pits when everyone is blued up, I can scroll over all the names to see what tires and driving aids are enabled, and what number they are on.

Cnd you can enter on Abs 1 and that will stay on your name. Even if you use RA tp up the Abs.

Others have said this allready though.

I'm sorry if this isn't clear enough for you.

Then it's still able to be policed with a simple post race blue up.

As soon as the race starts, anyone can switch to ABS 10 and it is impossible to tell.

Yes. Rules are rules though. Although furi logic is used, we must tolerate it :P

I did some testing with ORCA and if you're in a room with more than one person, you can "trick" the ABS/TC/ASM to whatever you want (And look like something else). Not sure about the 2.12 update.

This "trick" exists since GT5 has been released so I doubt the 2.12 has corrected this...

The bit I find strange is that the error was spotted before each of the 3 races, yet it wasn't mentioned to Twissy.

I think that Twissy's results should be allowed to stand in this case. However, Furi has "forgotten" to notify those who break his rules before - I remember when Gedi69 turbocharged his Mazda6 Touring Car for the Monaco round in Season 2, and Furi didn't notify him. 👎

Yep I noticed that too... funny they didn't tell me at Cape Ring.. nice ploy to get rid of the competition me thinks.. but rules are rules aren't they.. cant really be bothered with it.

Who do you mean by 'they'?

don't think it's a grammar error, i think he's meaning no one actually mentioned it at cape ring and it's only been mentioned after monza

Maybe because I never noticed at cape ring? Sounds from it you are basically admitting you did it at cape.

Also i know this is not what twizzy did but with the ra functions you could have abs off but it would still show 10 in the menu.

Well his attitude afterwards left much to be desired. I didn't ban him from the season, he left of his own accord.

@OP watchers, news still due at 9 BST.

Basically, it's ok to cheat and use ABS @ 10 (not that it gives you an advantage), as long as you are sneaky and alter it with the RA function once the race has started?

More importantly - you can't stop people doing it... So why both trying to stop it?
