Furi... Im still trying to get my head around how you think having ABS at 10 is "cheating"... IT DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING... its so laughable. If any it puts you at a disadvantage as it elongates your braking zone. All this rubbish about helping you turn in.. not sure what gran turismo your driving but it doesn't help you turn in better in GT5..

Right a little retrospective... when I started TOCA just over two years back it was a small idea, a small bit of fun, born out a BMW 320i series idea. Season 1 was curtailed and so Season 2 came on a smash hit scale with big grids, lots of close racing, and a fair load of controversy.
Car speccing came to the fore in Season 3 with the introduction of the BMW that was too fast, and repeat with 4.1 (Which was going to be an incredible season, big wings, medium tyres, many star names... yet was stillborn due to GT5's bug. 4.2 was like the height of madness, a lurid grid of blue, lime, orange, black, red, and it was like a meltdown with equally colourful personalities on and off track. We managed to expand with the off-shoot Asia and Legends series both run very well by TomMcD and Akmuq.
So when I resurrected it I chose to go back to basics, and Season 5 was the tried and tested route. TOCA6 expanded with the renewed interest prompting grids of driver attempting to qualify in, which continued into TOCA7.
And now we arrive at T8CA. EIGHT seasons in, the 9th planned if you count 4.1. And honestly, it's been a while. Over 125 races, nearly 30 race winners, over 70 points scoring drivers... it's been epic. And this season looks really tight as well.
But i'm finding something... last two weeks it's felt a bit.. old... same old motions, format, racing, complaining... and i've kind of lost my spark and drive with it. So it's with sadness I announce T8CA is the final full season of TOCA on GTPlanet for the time being. It's been on the cards for a while, but i'd rather head off on a high than drag it out forever.
So we got six weekends and 18 events left, make the most of them, the end is near.

Shame but I have to agree with you Mr Alex. TOCA 5/6/7 i've been up for it every race, but 8? Not really. I think i'm just getting bored of it to be honest. I don't think I would have entered S9 anyway.

I have decided to leave IRT and join Prower Performance as Myles needs a team mate, I love the Audi, I now despise the Pug, Scanny could join the major team and it's the last season of TOCA and I'd quite like to get a strong finish by the end of it all. Many thanks to the IRT lads for the support of my first GTP team! Send Tom and Scanny PM, been great fun with you lads!

No mate. I think he's had enough. Alex has taken on far to much of late, but just 'cos TOCA has gone I'd expect him to launch something else in its place.

It's a shame that TOCA has to end, I've been part of the series for nearly 18 months, I've seen people come and go, aliens dominate, plenty of arguments, quite a few cars and even been moderately successful during my time in this series.
Hopefully Furi will come back in the future with something similar and hopefully just as successful as TOCA is and was.
