I sit behind this computer most of the day and during that time I get the chance to listen to the radio. I see Talk Radio as an extension of nearly everything that we talk about in here. They only get a few hours at a time and we get unlimited discussion. I do try to find programs with credible hosts that tell it like it is and not like how it they want it to be. With most radio stations having the ability to listen on-line we could hear whatever you all are tuning into. Here is some of my likes and dislikes

GLENN BECK-He is syndicated nationally and has many things to say about the mass media sweeping the real stories under the rug especially with items dealing with IRAN. He is a right leaning bias.

PETER BOYLES-630 KHOW...He is local here in denver and is about as center as you can get. He is big on illegal immagration and how we are going down the tubes because of it.

TOM MARTINO-630 KHOW...He is called the trouble shooter and if you have a problem with somebody ripping you off, he is the guy to call.

MIKE ROSEN-850 KOA-Local in Denver and Conservative with a great political mind.

RUSH LIMBAUGH-National...I am on the same side of the fence as he is but don't find him entertaining at all to listen to.

AIR AMERICA-National...What an interesting name for these guys as they seem to bash what America is ALL DAY LONG. I view them as a bunch of whiners that are good at complaining but don't have much substance.

I am also interested in are what are Euro friends listen too. I catch some BBC every now and then. They seem to be on the liberal side. Is Talk Radio as big in Europe as it is here in the U.S.?

Glenn Beck makes me Laugh. I used to listen to just sports talk...but I live In Philadelphia and sports talk here will make me kill myself .

Philadelphia...ouch! Now thats a tuff crowd, Didn't you guys boo Santa Clause? I do hit the sports talk in the late afternoon. GO BRONCOS!

I used to listen to Morning Sedition on Air America until they took it off.
I've yet to find another talk show as good/Funny, so i listen to NPR. They have actual REAL jazz every night!

Used to listen to Paul and Young Ron in the morning. They're kind of boring as hell now, though. They peaked out at the You Can't Win game hosted by Aquarius Sweetwater Muhammed Jones(!!!) bits.

So do I! Great show.
Yup. :) It’s nice to listen to a show with some semblance of sanity – plus, even if you’re a die-hard anti-Libertarian, how can you not love this? :D

I occasionally listen to the talk radio from the BBC, but for the most part we are "stuck" with the same syndicated radio hosts here in Grand Rapids as the rest of you guys are in America. Occasionally I will listen to Rush Limbaugh, but often times I just get mad when I listen to him. Other than that, the Sean Hannity radio show isn't too bad, as he at least has some level of common sense.

...Although I'm wishing that I had XM right now, Tony Stewart's radio show started today on the NASCAR channel...

They just feature really interesting topics. Last time I listened, the whole show was about the Seven Wonders of the World. How cool is that?

They're rarely laugh-out-loud funny anymore; sometimes the interviews are good, though. I'll listen to NPR half the time, since my commute time is usually 7-10 minutes, 5 minutes of which is usually during a commercial break for all other stations, it's the only thing going.

Omnis, did you know Aquarius' wife is (was?) named Quinella?

During mid-day, I used to listen to the Neil Rogers Show for about 10-20 minutes, until it stopped containing humor, the callers got dumber, and the host started to implore it's listeners to look at 9/11-hoax sites for "introspection". I've grown weary of that talk show...

I used to do a lot of talk radio but now I only listen to the local talk radio. They carry more local issues as well as discussing the national ones.

I listened to Rush Limbaugh for a while but quit when I heard him admit that he does not do guests unless it is a special occasion. Of course you can sound right all teh time when you walk in prepared and have a production team willing to do immediate research to help you back up your points against an average joe just calling in to disagree with you.

I felt better about Sean Hannity because he would at least have guests that he completely disagrees with and have a debate with them, but it occured to me that once he takes a position no amount of evidence can ever change his mind. He is too stubborn and sometimes comes out making comments that sound completely stupid because he gets too caught up in trying to make his point.

Glenn Beck is okay, he is funny and never takes it all too seriously. He loves being satirical and has no problems just being stupid on purpose.

But as I said, I prefer the local shows. The 9:00 - Noon lady (Francine) will back off a position if she is presented with evidence to the contrary. Sometimes I disagree with her and sometimes I agree with her. Then our 9:00 - Midnight guy (Joe Elliot) is very middle of the road and will many times avoid taking a position and will just play devil's advocate to make his guests and callers think. He has never pulled a punch with guests.

Then I love our local sports talk shows. It is great hearing them go off on local teams for their problems and then get in fights with the die hard fans.

Then there is always a special treat from Midnight to 5:00: Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell (weekends) and George Noory (M-F). It is a great syndicated show for listening to people talk about UFOs, ghosts, vampires, conspiracies, and any other fun topics. It's really funny when they will open a special vampire hotline or ghost hotline and only people who have experience with or believe they are one of the topic can call in. It is good for a laugh. Last show I listened to had a guy who believed and wrote a book about how Lincoln and Kennedy were assasinated by the same people behind 9/11 and the Oklahoma City bombing all as part of a long-term plot to create a one world government.

Let's see...

  • Tom Mahr in the morning(local)
  • Chip Franklin morning/afternoon(local)
  • Rush, sometimes. I like his points. But it would be nice to have a debate every now and again.
  • Sean Hannity(Afternoon) Generally very good stuff. I like the guy and his views. Also the fact tha the gets on the republicans that aren't doing what they are supposed to.
  • Mark Levin(evening) Funniest guy on the radio. "Get of the phone you big dope!" I wish he was as excited when his supporters call as when the libs do, but oh well.

Talk radio has actually educated me quite a bit on the political front. And I appreciate that. But like everything else, if you just swallow it because someone else said it with no backup, that makes you an impressionable tool :)

I cant listen to Hanity anymore...if I hear one more dope call up and say... " your a great Americam " I'll puke all over my car....People that disagree with the idiot are just as American as he is , maybe more .

Rush is ok in small doses. He can be a major AH at times...he still wont back off the MJ Fox incident , for example...He should go back on his Vicodin .

Art Bell is a riot. You can't believe that some of these nuts really exist. Sometimes I wonder if some calls are "staged"?

I would have thought they were staged but I have met enough people who believe this kind of stuff to make me realize that plenty of them are out there.

Don't you mean "X-TREME!!!" ???

In the mornings I usually listen to Bob and Tom, but I don't know if you can really consider stand-up "talk radio."

You actually consider Bob and Tom to be funny, are you a robot or something? Some guys I used to work with would insist on that show being on the radio every morning, and I can say, without a doubt, that it was the worst and most annoying excuse for comedy that I have ever heard.

I don't really listen to any political talk radio, but my favorite radio show is a local Pittsburgh show on WDVE with Jim Krenn and Randy Baumann. It's the only thing on the radio that will make me disconnect my iPod to listen to it. Their comedy skits are second to none, and they have some pretty decent guests, although I always prefer the hosts to their guests. They actually gained some national attention a while back because they used to do the voices for the Nickelodeon show 'Action League, Now!'

Best. Show. Ever.

Anyway does anyone listen to Don and Mike? They're assholes, but it's pretty funny anyway. Mike does some top notch impressions.

The Spoonman on Triple M!

Opinionated, knowledgeable, and doesnt give a flying rats tail about the feelings of his listeners, says what he wants, when he wants, its awesome!

I'm a big talk radio fan. It keeps me sane during work. On monday I usually listen to sports talk most of the day. The rest of the week I listen to one station all day long. The line-up is Opie and Anthony, The Jagger Show, I usually skip the show after this because I just dont like it, Then the Russ Martin show. Im usually out of the office after russ but if I happen to be out on the road then I catch Tom Leykis or Loveline. I occasionally flip to Rush Limbaugh, but he's a little too biased for my taste.

Does VCPR, Chatterbox, LCFR, K-chat, Vrock and WCTR count?

:D

I listen to the BBC when I’m in Europe, but I don’t listen to it in Australia. I should perhaps tune in again, it is interesting to listen to.

Whatever, I’m going to Europe in a month, I’ll listen to it then. :P

I listen to Lex And Terry Every morning on the way to school, and during the summer I'll listen to Glenn Beck To laugh, but due to school starting I don't listen to it.
