Anyway, for me the E34 is the better E30 :D And I even go futher and say the E34 is the best BMW ever built (for a normal human being).

EDIT
Heritage? I thought it just a really popular car. Like the Trueno, just gets a tax because popularity.
Hmm, so you're saying the E30 gets Bratwurst-/Sauerkraut-/Jägermeister-Taxes?

EDIT²:

Yeah, it's too low and personally I don't like the wing which doesn't flow with the rear panel. But the combination of rims and car colour is nice 👍
Hard to tell but it looks like the NSX-R spoiler. Ive always liked it.
Yeah, could be but I still don't like it on a normal NSX ;)

Love the simple mod to this one :

No I thought we were talking about E30s in general, but I guess the pedigree in one way or another still applies. Still think they have a popularity tax be it M3 or not.

Being one of the most successful touring cars ever is a great heritage to have.
Fair enough, but how much of that gets back to the road cars? And so as to not stray too far from the thread's purpose...

Hummina-hummina-hummina. Yeah, a lot of what's done to it is to be functional, but I'll be damned if it doesn't look good while tearing down the quarter-mile.

That thing looks sick for a functional drag car.

I thought we were talking about M3s. Mainly because of this post:

Yeah, I was referring to the M3s. I'm not a BMW guy but I don't think I'm alone in not understanding the appeal of the E30s--at least not to the extent that people expect (rightfully or not) to get so much for them. I'd have an E36 M3 at a fraction of the cost and get more out of it even in factory form.

Anyway, yeah, I completely agree with you with the normal E30s having the popularity tax, same as an 86 or a MX-5 (at least here). Since they were known to be so good for their initially low price, prices were ramped up thus really making them overrated/over priced.

that's a lot :D

A friend of mine deeply regrets selling his white 318is, I hope you also regret selling your E30, Clark :P

I do miss it but I regret buying it as its wasn't a very good one. I regret not buying a slightly better one as it would probably be worth double now.

E36s are really good value now, in the UK you can a really well looked after 328i sport for a couple of grand, or a looked after M3 3.2 for about £5000-£6000. I think E46 M3s will come down to that level soon as well, at the moment the only E46 M3s that cheap are a bit tired.

Don't worry, I know what you guys might say, the car seems a bit too low for your tastes but it is for me aswell. Maybe if the owner of this car, I think it's Hisashi, if the height of the car could be raised just a tiny bit, this could be one of the sexiest RX7's.

Hell, this is already one sexy RX-7.

Looks alot better than the flat spoiler, in my opinion.

I'm really loving the look of polished VW wide-5 drums behind black steelies sans caps, not entirely unlike the Hebmuller I posted earlier.

And while it's purposeful, I think the vacuum pump modification (drilled pulley to the right of the alternator/fan drive) on Mark French's 200hp IDA'd screamer is tastefully executed. It doesn't hurt that it also aids oiling by drawing oil through the case to assist the standard oil pump.

(And yeah I said 200hp. Boggles the mind what people are doing as of late when my 2276 only cranked out 190--and only on pulls with the belt disconnected.)

I love how people and no clue on size. There's more than enough room. :P
. /end sarcasm.
I do and a clue though, I was just poking fun. Still, its as low as some of the rides he's called out in the past, So I just thought it was funny :P

also I forgot LOWERING A CAR IS ALL RIGHT, LOWERING IT TO MUCH HINDERS ANY PERFORMANCE YOU WOULD HAVE GAINED. CANT SEE SIDEWALL.
