I was thinking, how about a rule for this thread? If you're going to call someone out for their post being untasteful, I reckon it should be made that you have to state why you think so.

Or, people can have common sense and only post tasteful things in general, but 'tis no fairy magical place sadly.

Okay, I think nows the time I clear the air with you @SVX because I've realised that actually I was a huge idiot. And for that I apologise.

I know we both can't be bothered going at each other over something subjective, especially when I was being so damn pig headed about it.

Taste is subjective, an opinion, and opinions aren't facts. So we'll call it a truce and ill go back to lurking here. Maybe posting stuff I like.

Sorry to all involved or who were annoyed by it and on with the questionab- sorry, tasteful modification thread.

I appreciate the apology, @legacyMACHINE. 👍

The real problem is that this thread doesn't need to exist, at all.

An emphatic -----> :rolleyes:

What is it with E30s anyway? I don't get it. They sure as well don't warrant $30,000 for a 'kept' (not well-kept, simply 'kept') example. Yeah. Someone mentioned to me the prices they were fetching and I had to see for myself.
Well not tasteful but kinda..
Well, this is a BLOWN ROTARY!View attachment 288190
I can appreciate the modification but not the execution--it should remain underhood.

And isn't that a REPU? (Not that it affects my opinion of the modification, I just always thought the dang things were nifty.)

30 grand for a E30? You can get them here for ~2000€ for a quite decent 318i or 320i 4dr. 2drs are a bit more expensive, tourings too. The convertibles are 2½times the price, mostly more. M3s start to hit the 20k-range

Yeah, it's too low and personally I don't like the wing which doesn't flow with the rear panel. But the combination of rims and car colour is nice 👍
Hard to tell but it looks like the NSX-R spoiler. Ive always liked it

I wouldn't call those tasteful, though.
I thought it was clever  5 spoke rim, and patrick being a star fish and all

Great point you raise. It's like the never solved mystery why there are two 'post pictures of your car' threads.

I don't think so. My brother has a REPU/rotary B1600 and from what I can see it looks different.

Those wheels on the E30 are awful
I don't mind aero covers, but on that car and shod as they are (stretched; not enough sidewall) is, in my eyes, in very poor taste.

Yeah, I was referring to the M3s. I'm not a BMW guy but I don't think I'm alone in not understanding the appeal of the E30s--at least not to the extent that people expect (rightfully or not) to get so much for them. I'd have an E36 M3 at a fraction of the cost and get more out of it even in factory form.
