All I would add would be a ducktail spoiler and I'd be happy with it.
 
There is a couple variations of those wheels but yeah they were pretty big. That 240 pulls them off very well. My only gripe is that they are utterly tiny.
 
It's ok i guess... but i don't like the grills in rear fender and bumper even if it's functional, it reminds me old tuning times and looks cheap.
 
Rollpan bumpers almost never work.
Neither in terms of aesthetics nor practicality. I'm 99.997% sure there's no core behind the pan to absorb energy from an impact. Oh and it would look ten times better with wider front fenders to match the rears--but not a tenth as good as if it had neither.
Makes one wonder whats under hood if it requires that much contact patch to deliver it..
I saw a rather clean turbo Buick swapped GT. One can hope.

Done right, it can look good like on a truck or something but it takes a lot of massaging to pull it off.
 
Admittedly, the kit isn't horrible--I probably wouldn't have even noticed it without mention--but there's only one wheel I can appreciate on an older (that particular bodystyle) XJ...

Put those 'Arden' 5-spokes on an XJ8.
 
I feel like I could be alone on this, but I quite like how early LS430 wheels look on LS400s:

I don't know if I'd call that a tasteful modification, though as I think the wheels could pass for either generation off the showroom as standard. Just my 2 cents since the styling differences weren't crazy different.
