It will be like 2 am for me too but i know you dont get off until 6 whatever timezone your in. But it cant be perfect. I would like to but id dose off without 5 gallons of bullsper, *cough* redbull. :P

Edit: when i turn 17 and have money you know what im going to do? And ive done research. Ready duman?
Im going to buy an e30 325i and tune it for drifting. Im going to put a turbo on it, which should easily bring it to around 300 hp at approx 1 bar boost. Then remap it which will bring it up some more. Then coilovers and bodykit, and rims. And the rest of the drift car stuff. :D

That will be really fun, but i would suggest getting the coilovers first, before throwing power at it. And if it doesn't have one, a good Limited Slip Diff. Starting you don't need a lot of power, but a good suspension will make the car more predictable.

The 2 main things to make a car FUN is good suspension and good tires, along with everything else in good shape.

I would suggest an engine rebuild before throwing a turbo onto an engine that is 20+yrs old. Turbo is a great way to increase power but it puts a lot bigger strain on the components than it was designed for.

don't mean to sound negative in any ways, i'm a HUGE car enthusiast, am training to become an automotive tech and i am also slowly (money limiting) trying to build my s13 into a drift car. :)👍

Sorry to get off topic, I will try to join that room tomorrow night if i can.

So got reply from tech at fanatec now they are saying to clean the codewheel... I would get right to it but What The Heck Does It Look like I could mess up the whole thing couldn't they have sent a FREAKING picture for once sorry for exploding 5 weeks with only 2 hours on the wheel I am extremely regreting it... -_-
To be more on topic cool drifting with king for abut before I left to go dragging :)

Good luck with the insurance :D

I was going to say as well lol. I was going to go down the same route but without the turbo because of insurance. But at the moment my idea is to find a clean NA s14 and take it from there.

For a diesel lol! How old are you because I know that insurance gets ridiculously high when you go over a 1.8 when your sort of 17, 18 etc. So far ive got quotes of around £2000 for a 1.2 mark4 golf haha. I live really far down south in a rubbish area which doesnt help.

xD I'm 21 tomorrow so hopefully its going to reduce a bit this year, yeah living here doesn't help much with the insurance. I think Liverpool has the highest insurance for anything lol. I passed my test at 18 and was getting quotes of £3000-£5000 for my mums Skoda Fabia :D

Haha, skoda fabia's are supposed to be the cheapest cars to insure. When you turn 21 you could probably get insured on a non turbo s13 or similar for around £2000 if you really wanted to.

haha this is awesome :)

My father and me will build a E30 with a V8 soon. I'm sure we will use the S60: 4,4 litres 350HP with a little bit of tuning

Yeah gonna give it a go at some point, me and some mates had an accident damaged S14 but it was too expensive for 4 students if we wanted to get it back in good condition lol. We just thrashed it about at my mates farm though until it literally blew up haha.

Edit: 1000th post in our thread :D

Driftworks did that with an E46 and put a V8 or a V10 in it I cant remember. It looks really nice though.

Haha that's exactly what I would of done. If you've still got it I would get a few parts from it if I was you because most things like suspension and engine components will fit S13's and S14's.

I forgot to say it will only be for the track. And haze, ifvyou get a car van insursnce goes way down. And theres such thing as a supra mk4 van! :D
Edit: to put a v8 in a 3 series body takes alot of fabrication. You'll probably have to get rid of the firewall.

wow i feel sorry for that guy in the video, nice bimmer wagon towing a nice looking m3, which was probably totaled after :scared:.

I hate seeing nice machines getting destroyed, i know it's bound to happen in motorsports pushing the limits, i just don't like the people who get joy from seeing other peoples suffering/destruction.

had a polish friend and his father was always, koorva Domonic when he was messing around....hahaha

Never change your BMW's engine. E30 is my favourite car but I would also like a PS13, RPS13 or RX-7. You never see those japanese cars here and thats why I would want it more, but I'm a born BMW lover. I love almost every BMW....... if it isnt diesel xD.

Add the r32 skyline, chaser and S15 and you've got my ideal garage.

Mkiv supra! :D

I completely forgot about that. I dont know why but when ever I think of typical drift cars I think S13, AE86 and skyline but never supra. Maybe because there quite an expensive car to maintain/run and that ricers have adopted it more. I would still snap one up if I could, take a large hammer to the BGW and your good to go lol.

Jesus christ dude! seriously?
In Belgium we pay tax, when we buy a car. Thats an awful lot (around 5k for me) but the normal yearly taxes are low.
I mean, I drive a 335 hp car, and i pay around 1000 EUR/Year.

In ireland boys insurance is going to come down because it was proved to be sexist.
But in uk and ireland, when your under 25 its expensive. And people buy an na car and put a turbo on it without declaring it so they'll never know.

The first bit is nearly right, but its not going down its just women will be charged the same and insurance companies aren't allowed to charge more for to a man with the same car etc as a woman would have, unfortunately. So still no let off.

Powellx235: In ireland boys insurance is going to come down because it was proved to be sexist.

Well, that's kinda BS, it's proven women cause less accidents (by being carefull, or to carefull at times). So, then sorting by age would be discriminating at well? I don't really get that lol ;s

IISLYDWAYZII: Booty sweat!

Grow up?

Your only saying that cause your a girl! :P
You dont just get all of it. Alot of the accidents are caused by boy racers, but if you leave that out its much the same.

Boy racers and elderly. Which isnt really fair that boy racer chavs ruin it for people that actually want a nice car but dont insist on racing every other corsa and blaring out there bangin' tunes.

EDIT: Does anyone want to be in a team ,of up to 3 including me, for a touge championship?
