When do you guys usually get on to practice? Must have spent at least a good 4 hours on Sebring so far. Most of it trying to tune. Coming in at 2:05 as my best. But 2:06's I can hit with more consistence. Still not as fast as I think I should be though. :(

I just tried it in the F430 GT2 & got a 2:05 running on a race set-up, haven't tried it with super soft yet. I'm looking forward to this race more than the world series next event, not a fan of St. Petersburg.

It's just slight adjustments to the basic set-up with 20 laps of fuel & soft tires, I don't know much about tuning so i never really stray too far from the stock settings.

Yeah same here. Are there league requirements to run soft tires vs super soft? I was able to dip into the 2:04's last night. But that was on super soft and no gas in the tank.

No tire requirements. But SS's aren't recommended.

Why is that? I'm guessing they dont last as long? I havent really tried any other compounds. Most of the races I do are against the a.i. and its five laps at the most.

Different with normal tire wear, eh?

Man sorry for not answering earlier, the damn Clubsports took a crap again! Damn cheap loadcells!

Let me know, still don't have a new loadcell but I might manage a few laps just to learn the track...

I NEED someone to practice with!
Otherwise I just stay for five minutes, do a lap, crash, then leave.
Anyone wanna practice tonight?

Im really interested in joining the team I have read the OP and want to know if there is any additional info I need to take part in this team?

Yes I have rFactor. I just finishing downloading the mods as well. Going to install them in the morning.

As long as you've read and understand all the general information on their site (CMS), you should be good.
The only thing is that you'll need to apply to "Team GTPlanet" in the stats database once you get all signed up.

Which class(es) do you prefer to run?

I'm am new to rFactor but been using my G27 since GT5 came out. So I want to stick with the slower GT2 class I believe.

I honestly would like to just practice first for maybe a week or so. I'm no where near race ready. So at this moment I just want to practice with the team and get a feel for the game.

Good to have you onboard! I probably won't be driving this week thank's to my dead brake pedal...

I was practicing offline at St. Pete with the GT2 F430. I was running 1:11's and low 12's with softs. I'm still getting used to the lack of ABS and the twitchy back end. What are the times like for GT2?

With Super Softs and low fuel, 1:09s were what the aliens were running. 11s and 12s you should be running on mediums.

I'm feel like my car has no connection to the ground at St. Pete its hopping around all over the place. Also I feel my FBB plugin is just not right I'm using the realfeel plugin and I selected the option for the car in the purchase parts menu. But I don't know what would be the optimal setting for the plugin. On oversteer situations I feel the sensation late and it's too late to correct it. I have to rely on body roll to know what my car is doing. So overall my experience with the F430 is mixed. I love the car but the driving is ether really solid or out of whack.

Also I do want to be part of the team but I want to know what is suggested as the be the best car to use and do we all run a Custom GTP Livery? Last question, when does the CMS forum update the next course for the next race?

St. Pete is probably even more bumpy than Sebring. Just soften up the car a bit and crank up the downforce.

For FFB, I highly recommend reading the readme for Enduracers, it can be found on their website. In addition, I'd try out leoffb.

We dont have a GTP livery, not yet at least.
Most of us are using the 997. So we could offer the most support if you were to use that.
You're more than welcome to use any car you choose, though.

CMS changes the track on the server usually just after the race there.
